This generation has zero attention span and no loyalty but #1 at cancelling people and writing them off

You should be happy he revived bollywood with pathan and finally the cinema is back to normal and theres other movies also doing well. Let’s appreciate the good especially those who deserve it.

Oh we have done just fine without him. In the last 10 years all of his films have been stupid right from Happy New Year to Pathaan. YUCK.

You can’t revive Bollywood with mediocrity. Audiences are much smarter now. They rather watch a good Netflix show than on screen hamming.

I dont know about footfalls smiley36 I know Salman nearly has 30 % of the 300 crore club. If that was a building cut into thirds he would have his own floor smiley36

My two cents about corporate bookings

It’s like symbiotic marketing

Corporate booking is company buying tickets and giving it to employees

Like complementary passes for shows

Now Zomato and GM are associated with jawaan let’s say for sake of segment they will buy 5000 tickets each...give it to employees

That's part of deal...as they are getting srk for free to promote product…...in return they give srk the reach through social media other avenues

It's not like srk khud apni jaib se khareed raha hai

My family owns a business and many times there are vendors who will give free gifts if we buy their products instead of other companies.. I’ve gotten stuff like Gucci perfumes just cause we did business with that particular company…

Similarly I’ve gotten free tickets for movies, theme parks and festivals and even free stay at resorts due to having a business relationship with a particular company… our bank gave us tickets for Disney shows and what not

Theme parks like six flags routinely give free tickets or discount tickets on back of Pepsi cans…. ThId is corporate booking or symbiotic marketing.

Pathaan did 500 cr business and even if (I’m just assuming) corporates bought 10,000 tickets at 600inr per ticket.. it’s like 60 lakh rupees…

Chalo double kar lo.. it’s still 1.20 cr

So for a movie doing 520+ cr business 1-3 cr corporate bookings is not much of a difference

Of course there are always people like karan and akshay they as usual abuse it….

Ranbir kapoor, raam charan and a Telugu producer bought 10,000 tickets per person so 30,000 tickets in total for adipurush… was that buying fake tickets? Did that help the movie in being a success?

Movie making is a business… why would someone put in 100s of crores into a movie just so it can look like a success? And how long will this model be successful?

Companies also buy in bulk sometimes for sports games. It’s really something done everywhere

You’re spreading hearsay based on zero proof - nobody ever said anything about Pathaan. All the comments were about Rocky and Rani and they even listed which brand and how many tickets. There was one vague article by BWHungama with no brands listed or any other info.

You cannot play innocent when your entire intent was to discredit the movie. If corporate booking doesn’t matter, why were you writing paragraphs about it and demanding fans “accept it”??

There was no real corporate booking info about either Pathaan or Jawan. And even if there was, it would barely have any effect on a 75 crore opening day. So obsessing about that topic itself says something and raises more questions.

Nobody was trying to pull these tricks with movies like PK when they released. I don’t think other fan bases were that desperate.

Just because you call it bad faith argument doesn’t make it so. And don’t give me that bull crap about me spreading hearsay. Specially when in the same argument you went from there being no proof to bringing up Bollywood Hungama article.

You didn’t ignore me. Ignoring is not saying anything. You reacted and made a snide remark, which I responded to with my own snide remark. That’s when you decided to call me ignorant because you didn’t like Pathan being associated with corporate booking. Also “don’t play innocent” is a cop out way of reacting to calling me ignorant on your part. I’m not writing paragraphs about corporate booking. My original post was also about SRK’s career trajectory and the changes he’s made. And I definitely said in my very first post that even Pathan’s corporate bookings are irrelevant considering how high its collections were. You are choosing to ignore everything else and harp on Pathan and corporate booking.

I joined a discussion and gave my opinions. I’m not the one that called someone else ignorant because I didn’t like their opinions and analysis of a MOVIE. And I’m not the one who’s so triggered by this discussion that I keep bringing up the others’ favorites as some act of sticking it to them.

Lastly, here’s an example of ignoring someone … going forward I’ll be ignoring this tread.
