Yeah a bit confusing. If you’re trying to make an Indian Archies, why not actually have Indian characters? How else do they plan to distinguish themselves from Riverdale?

This whole project has always come across as a harebrained proposal put together to accommodate the launch of all nepo chirags. Zoya gets awfully defensive at any criticism with regards to Archies. It's doomed.

SAG-AFTRA should also get behind banning this, they all look AI generated to me. I just can't shake that thought off whenever I see any of these "actors"😆

The characters are supposed to be Anglo Indian. So I suppose they can get away with it. Though the names sound American rather than British. Also the international audience which Netflix hopes to attract will only be familiar with the original character names.
