🏏Squads for ICC World Test Championship 2023 Final 🏏

The WTC is going to take place from June 7th to June 11th.     

With the start of the support period today, any changes to the squad can now only be made with the approval of the Event Technical Committee.

Billed as the Ultimate Test, the WTC Final has June 12 earmarked as a reserve day to make up for any loss of play on the scheduled five days.

Why is this WTC Final is being played b/w two countries namely: India and Australia? 😕 

When did the rest of the countries get to play this tournament? 🤔

To play a full tournament for test cricket is not viable.  So, they just give points for two years to the winning team for every test match and who ever takes the top two spots at the end will get to play the final.

These matches happen once every two years.

Two years ago New Zealand and India got the top two spots and New Zealand won that match.

Understand this as a 2 year long tournament. Where teams play tests at home and away basis. Every match has some points. After 2 years the 2 teams topping the table play final in a neutral venue.

This is the 50 th test match for both Rohit Sharma and Patt Cummins.
