Both teams come into this game on the back of wins. The Titans were too strong for the Delhi Capitals, while the Knight Riders blew RCB away at Eden Gardens on Thursday. Such is the IPL that a win today for KKR will take them level on points with the Titans. A Titans victory, though, would ensure a spot at the top of the table, at least until the Punjab Kings' match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad later in the day.
Plenty of interesting match-ups along the way. Last season, these sides faced each other just once, with Gujarat defending a score of 156 at the DY Patil Stadium. Andre Russell, though, was one of the few bright spots for KKR that day. With the Jamaican not having set this campaign alight yet, KKR would hope that he can recreate something similar.
Hardik Pandya also has an excellent personal record against KKR. While his teammates have hit the ground running, he is yet to contribute significantly with the bat. Considering how strong GT look elsewhere, this is perhaps the last thing they would want to check off their bucket list.
Gonna be a very interesting march....

Pitch Report from another site--
Pitch report by Matthew Hayden
βIt looks like a beautiful batting wicket. There is no patchy grass on this wicket. Spinners might have a bit of role to play but the quicks have a terrific opportunity as the pitch has a shine to it and even grass but it is a batting surfaceβ
The last time the two sides met, Andre Russell produced a sensational effort with the ball. He picked four wickets in one over he bowled and scored 48 off 25. However, his efforts went in vain.
There goes my toss point
Hardik isn't playing. Rashid is captain
Good luck to both teamsπ₯³
GT won the toss and elected to bat first.
