Nope he didn't. He immediately got married to Sai and Patralekha/Pakhi kept on interfering in their married life and created more problems between them though most of the times she used to fail in her attempts. You really need to watch at least the first 300 episodes. It's really fun to see Sai doing her band bajana and later even Virat started giving it back to her. 😆

He did not have physical relationships with Patralekha, however he was definitely involved with her on emotional level. His cousin left first night of his marriage after he heard his wife Patralekha declare her undying love for Virat (now her devar). His cousin felt betrayed by his wife and brother and left the very next day and went MIA.

Virat felt guilty for Patralekha's state and he never truly objected her interference in his married life to Sai. There were times he repermended her for her behavior, however he would apologize to her as well afterward. He felt she was still mature, responsible and fav bahu of the family. He mostly picked her over Sai in heartbeat.

He even came under family pressure and got her bailed out after the entire surrogacy kaand was exposed. He even had given his and Sai's first born to her just because she pretend to be suicidal.

Well just go through episode first to understand the characters in a better way. Secondly if we just talk about post leap Pakhi as a character run away with vinu to flew abroad with a licensed gun with her, she had been instigating vinu against sai to that extent that he lost his mental peace so do you really think a mother who had been blamed for his child death whose right over him had been violated time to time could think of anything else

The story follows like this..virat meets pakhi at Yoga retreat and they both feel there is a possibility between them..Before both could confess anything virat got his transfer order to gadchiroli and was asked to report immediately..Both exchanged their phone numbers but unfortunately virat lost her number on the way...

Elsewhere in GC sai who was just a young teen finished school harassed by local gunda jagtap..Kamal joshi her father happened to be virat's trainer whom he respects a lot...During a mission kamal joshi saved virat's life by the taking the bullet.. Kamal joshi takes promise from virat that he would take care of his daughter and help her to fulfil her dream to become a doctor.. Then villagers pressurised both sai and virat to get married.. Sai denied but then virat is convinced that he should marry sai to protect her. Mean while patralekha is already married to virat's cousin and during her brothers wedding he promised patralekha that there will be no girl in his heart.. Unfortunately his brother ran away after hearing that patralekha and virat were in love..

Virat comes to CN with sai and initially they used to share a love hate relationship.. Virat falls in love with sai within few days of his marriage but always would empathise with patralekha.. Sai repeatedly warning Pakhi's intentions virat never actually paid heed to sai's work.. It took almost five years sai to accept virat as a husband.. And then the story follows..

Patralekha was already married to Virat's brother Samrat. But she would openly go after virat by torturing sai a teenager. Beauty was whole CN knows this but none stopped her... now all are facing their karma.

Honestly, I suggest you watch the show from episode 1 to understand the dynamics.

I always binge watch shows that I like from the beginning. And it's all easily available online these days.

It's like I start watching Rishta now and fully support the happenings in the show without knowing the background of any character.

And this is happening to me....when I watch Rishta I really like the sister's character. I stopped watching because I don't have the bandwidth to go back and watch the show.

Exactly what I read on wikipedia once. I as it is never liked Virat and after reading this I feel the character is so flawed and selfish. Whatever suits his mood kind.

The family is the spelling of word toxic… esp the badi maa character
