In the first half of the game, India posted a huge total courtesy of some quality batting by KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav. The total of 187 was always going to be tough for Zimbabwe and the 79 runs they gave away at the death with the ball, took the momentum away from them.

Sean Willians took two wickets with the ball but with the bat, he could not score much. The top 3 batters before him also failed to make a mark and it was only the partnership of 60 runs between Raza and Burl that gave the Zimbabwean fans something to cheer about.

However, they were never in this chase and once that partnership was broken, Zimbabwe ended up folding quite quickly on 115.

India have registered a thumping win at the β€˜G’ and have finished at the top of the table in Group 2. They will now go to Adelaide to face off against England in the semi-final and this is exactly the kind of morale-boosting win a team needs before going into a knockout game.

Zimbabwe, on the other hand, have played some brilliant cricket in patches but they need to be better with their execution with the bat to challenge big teams consistently.

This T20 world cup was good for Zimbabwe. They can upset bigger teams on more occasions.

Congrats India πŸ‘

Craig Ervine: We could have changed a couple of plans, Surya did extremely well in the back end and countered Richie's wide yorkers. He came out and changed the game. Leading into the tournament, we had some positiveness with the bat. Last couple of games, we went away from that fearless cricket and we went into a shell. If you just stand there and swing, there's a good chance that you're gonna get out. You need to be more proactive. Our last few results didn't go as planned. We did good work to get into the Super 12s. We'll be building on that. The boys fought really hard throughout the World Cup.

Rohit Sharma: It was a good all-round performance, something that we were looking for. Before the game, we were qualified but was important to come out and play the way we wanted to play. (On SKY) What he's doing for the team is remarkable. Playing and taking pressure off others - it's quite important. We know his ability and it allows the other guys to take some time as well. The confidence he shows when he bats, the dug-out can be at ease. He's shown a lot of composure. This is something we expect from him. He's going from strength to strength.  (On semifinal vs England) The key for us will be to adjust to the conditions as quickly as possible. We've played a game there but England will be a good challenge for us. Two teams going at each other, it'll be a great contest. We need to understand what each individual needs to do. It's going to be a high pressure game. We need to play well. If we do play well, we have a good game ahead as well. If we do play well, we have a good game ahead as well. You need to adjust quickly and plan accordingly. They (fans) have been brilliant, coming and watching us. We've got full house. We expect nothing less in the semifinal. Hats off to them, on behalf of the team I want to thank them.

It's been an action-packed triple-header Sunday. Netherlands, who knocked the Proteas out the competition earlier today, secure a direct qualification for the next T20 WC. Pakistan, who looked down and out after losing their first two games, have progressed to the last-four. And, India finish on top of Group 2. Phew! The Super 12s, which saw umpteen twists and turns, are done and dusted. And we can finally confirm the semifinal bouts - New Zealand vs Pakistan at the SCG on Wednesday (November 9) and India vs England at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday (November 10). We have a couple of days to catch our breath. Until the semis

So we are heading towards semi finals now.

Back to back fifties for KL Rahul is good for India.

Anyways the kind of things happened in this world cup its safe to say any team can beat any one on their day. So i wont say that any team has better chance of winning.

But personally i will support India and New Zealand.
