Hera Pheri or Delhi Belly - Better comedy movie?

"A comic caper about three roommates who get in a mess with underworld criminals, which gives them a chance to make quick money and become rich."

This story description fits both Hera Pheri and Delhi Belly. Both movies came out between a gap of more than a decade, and appealed to mostly different generations. Hera Pheri is a clean comedy and family friendly. Delhi Belly is not. But both movies are considered classics in comedy genre, and probably the best mindless comedies in last 22 years.

Which is a better movie?

They're made for diff audiences. Within those constraints, both were made well. I voted for HP because it reached a wider viewership.

Delhi Belly is a good entertaining movie but Hera Pheri is OG. I can watch Hera Pheri infinite times and still have a good laugh, it is in its own league!

Hera pheri for sure. I still recall the characters fondly. I don't remember much about DB's characters because they were not so darn lovable or dorky, but I definitely enjoyed watching DB.

HP also got the repeatable value as well, while I don't ever wanna re-watch DB.😅

I have not seen delhi belly

Delhi Belly is more famous as the movie with that double meaning song than as a comedy. Hera Pheri on the other hand is one of the funniest comedies.
