Superb movie, guys.

It's just superb.

It falls in the thriller genre, but engaging leading performances and a sharp visual style are enough to elevate this movie into a classic.

Using this thread to talk about 'The Lost Daughter' which released on Netflix during Xmas period since I can't open topics of me own.

Has anyone seen it and if so, what do you make of the ending? How did the orange get there?

Yes, definitely recommend!

It's Maggie Gyllanhaal's directorial debut, I haven't read the book it's based on, but I can't recommend it enough. It's a psychological drama, and it does get a bit grim but Olivia Colman does keep you engaged throughout.

I normally don't like open endings but I think it worked really well in it's favour! I have my own theories around what occurred but won't spoil it just yet.
