Escapism, plain and simple. At least, in the old days.

Spent a few years with my grandparents. Uncles in Aunts in Rajasthan growing up. Needless to say, my sister and I being the only grandchildren in the entire family at the time were spoiled rotten. After I came back to the USA, Bollywood helped me remember those times.

Bollywood in the 90s had more of an escapism element to it. Which works great for children. Bollywood currently is more dedicated to the aspect of realism.

I loved the songs and stories long ago. I loved the chocolate boys and actresses who had all unique looks and styles to them.

😂

There is something very attractive abt that…ofcourse lots of actors have ruined that moment too with their bad acting

But when done right, it’s classic Bollywood stuff 😍

The reason I love Bollywood is because how they are capable of bringing out emotions in us. It made me believe that there is always happy endings. Ofc i didn't know about sad endings when i was a kid but still loved movies which made me smile and cry. As I grew up i started loving the art part of cinema. Its magic when done correctly. I love stories. Good movies are stories that one listens and feel to their core.
