Salman , Akshay , SRK get a lot of stick but KGF and Pushpa don't

These films technically romanticises & endorses Stockholm Syndrome. 

These hyper-masculine heros who can defy gravity and break rules. 

In KGF: Chapter 1, Rocky stalks Reena to no end and eventually she is shown to have developed feelings for him. 

In KGF: Chapter 2, in his entry scene itself, Rocky kidnaps Reena to threaten her father and says that he will forcibly keep her with him in his mansion as his “entertainment”. 

In Pushpa, the hero goes to the extent of paying money for a kiss. "Stalk her till she says yes".

Both were criticised by fringe critics, and loved by masses. As they do with Salman, Akki and co.

Because its param dharam to criticize a BW movie but not the regional movies...

I kinda agree and disagree both.

Both Rocky and Pushpa's characters didn't have the right kind of upbringing.  So it makes sense that they were portrayed with moral ambiguity in these films. Both were outright criminals actually.

The problem is the "romanticism" of these characters. Indian movie goers in general love idolizing film heroes, regardless of their moral ambiguity & treat them like GOD.🤔

The filmmakers keep milking this trait of Indian audience in their favor. And it happens in Bollywood AND down South too. No doubt about it.

People have made this a battle between the industries😵, BUT there are good and bad films in every industry.

The fight should be between good cinema and bad cinema.
