INDIA AND SOUTH AFRICA
The two Cricketing giants have always had good relations and helped each other many times.
Starting with the 1991 readmission of South Africa into International Cricket after Apartheid Era, India was the first team to invite South africa for a full series, officially welcoming them back into International Cricket
Then when T20 was started, BCCI was very hesitant to play this format and resisted for the longest time but had to give in when india was outvoted by a majority of 11-1 for WT20 decision. With only few months to go india didnt have any experience of playing this format. SA agreed with BCCI to make india play 1 match on thier tour. So in a way SA welcomed india into T20 Cricket.
More recently the indian women's team haven't played a game for almost a year due to covid scare because no country wanted to tour india . SA broke that deadlock and visited india for a 5 T20 series.
Since then we have had many memorable contests. SA players Like Albie Morkel, AB De Villiers, Faf Du Plessis, David Miller, Kagiso Rabada, Laura Wolvaardt, Dane Van Niekerk, Sune Luus have been star attractions in IPL and WT20C.
