I can't even begin with my happiness for this promo
For reference, this is the promo where we see that Imlie backtracks everything that has happened till now - from her forced wedding with Aditya to leaving Pagdandiya - to finally enjoying a swing on a tree back home and she meets eyes with Aryan, who has been watching her with the softest smile and the promo hints on Imlie falling in love.

This promo does NOT have the right to be so good. It just simply doesn’t (especially with lyrics so poignant). It hits everything right. It doesn’t shy from acknowledging that Imlie has loved, has been burnt and it was a story she shouldn’t have been in the first place. Nothing right could’ve ever come from forcing a 35 years old man to marry an 18 years old girl because of archaic societal norms.
That despite that man validating that relationship or Sita Maiyya hinting that perhaps this was her true path considering she had walked in with the feet of a bride, this was not right.
It never was.
There she should be, on a tree in her grounds in her clothes, swinging happily as a 19 years old should. Not bound by her altruism or makings of a bahu.
But just a woman.
And there’s Aryan. With his barely there smile, his precious time spent like sand, for he’s resting by his car and watching her with aching tenderness. The clash of his car on her simple surroundings doesn’t stand out like a sore thumb, but is there like a reassuring presence.
They’ve changed without changing🥹 we see Aryan for what he is. A protector of her happiness. One with love as divine as possible.
And Imlie’s smile doesn’t fall for she’s being watched. No, it’s her soft hesitation for the moment she sees him. It’s almost like she’s seeing him for the first time.
Not the mentor, the friend, or a stubborn boss.
No, for a second what flickers in her head is as loud as Sita Maiyya’s burst of blessing. That the soulmate one talks of - the one with whom you take all the vows and is blessed by divine intervention -
Has been standing in front of her all along.
And the beauty of it all happening on the most inconsequential day - when she’s on a swing and he’s standing by her car. Kuch nahi, par sab kuch.

Note: knowing itv and Imlie though I know the nuance of this might never be explored but the sheer joy this promo provoked in me made me feel so much. There was a tenderness and maturity here I didn’t expect otherwise. Otherwise I know ITV dekh kar yehi baat aati hai:
So lemme just have this moment. I know Imlie still has her 'apanlog' ka rog. I know Aryan babu at times turns into Rajnikanth's body double. I know Blue Kaki and Baby Doll main pittal di exist and literally have no idea how the forward tracks will be executed because they require a high level of nuance but-
For once, this promo said everything I've been wanting to see in this whole show ever since its inception.

Manasvi paaji, good luck for your future projects and being honest with where you want your character to be. It might seem off but it was smart of you to realise that your character was going into a villain rundown like Malini's - not the suave villain with multiple grey shades that could turn positive but just a negative character in general and this show really creates two dimensional villains *cough BK and BD* *cough Anu*
And ofc a thank you to the writers and production house for giving a decent exit to Aditya given the circumstance. There was a lot of white washing, but given the situations it was one of the best exits for a character! We have seen worse exits. I still can't believe they shot the end of IPK - the literal END of the show with body doubles - so having something written for Aditya in line with his character and a decent exit that closes his character is:
Pata hai, ITV has set my bars low.
But lemme enjoy this wonderful promo in peace....
