Do you think this song is anti-Hindu?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8QYVwX0M6g

Alot of people believe this song is anti-hindu because it talks about Islam supremacy.

Hum dekhenge was originally written as an Urdu poem by Faiz Ahmed Faiz in 1981. It was rewritten in Hindi by Coke Studio Season 11 in 2018.

The Kashmir Files used this song to troll the JNU and the leftists because this song is widely recognized as leftist propaganda.

I'm posting the lyrics of the song along with the English translation. Figure out if this song is anti-Hindu or not:

Hum Dekhenge, Hum Dekhenge,

We will see. We will see.

Lazim Hai Ke Hum Bhi Dekhenge,

It is inevitable (that) we too shall see.

Hum Dekhenge, Hum Dekhenge,

We will see. We will see.

Wo Din Ke Jis Ka Vaada Hai,
The day that has been promised.
Jo Lauh-E-Azal Mein Likha Hai, Hum Dekhenge
That is written in the book of destiny. We will see.

Hum Bhi Dekhenge, Hum Bhi Dekhenge
We, too, shall see. We also shall see.
Jab Zulm-O-Sitam Ke Koh-E-Garan
When the mountains of oppression and cruelty.
Rooyi Ki Tarah Ud Jayenge, Hum Dekhenge
Will float away like carded wool. We will see.

Hum Mehkumon Ke Paon Tale,
Underneath our feet – we the governed.
Ye Dharti Dhar Dhar Dharkegi,
The ground will echo like a thumping heartbeat.
Aur Ahl-E-Hakam Ke Sar Oopar,
And the sky over the heads of the rulers.
Jab Bijli Kar Kar Karkegi,
Will echo with the sound of thunder.

Bas Naam Rahega Allah Ka,
And only Allah’s name will remain.
Jo Gayab Bhi Hai Hazir Bhi,
Who is both elusive and present.
Jo Manzar Bhi Hai Nazir Bhi,
Who is the spectacle and the beholder.

Utthega An-Al-Haq Ka Nara,
‘I am the truth’ will be the acclamation.
Jo Main Bhi Hoon, Aur Tum Bhi Ho,
Which I am, and so are you.
Aur Raaj Karegi Khalq-E-Khuda,
And then God’s own people will rule.
Jo Main Bhi Hoon Aur Tum Bhi Ho,
Which I am, and so are you.

Hum Dekhenge. Hum Dekhenge
We will see. We will see.

If you think there's something anti-Hindu or anti-any other religion element in this song, then tell how.

No it is not! It’s such a beautiful song talking about how God and the people who believe in God will rule the world. Which line or words suggests that it is anti-Hindu?

It’s not the destruction of the other religions. It’s the destruction of the bad and victory of God. It is said in not just Quran but in Bhagawadgeeta also-

“Yada yada hi dharmasya glanir bhavati bharata

abhyutthanam adharmasya tadatmanam srjamy aham”

Whenever the evil becomes dominant, the God himself will come and restore Dharma.

I know it’s what is said in the Bible.

And I am sure the same thing is said in the other religions also like Buddhism, Jainism etc.

Everything can be anti-Hindu whether it is this forum, Bollywood, media, posters on here, bus you need that parkhi nazar😆

Seriously though all of us are ensconced in our own online bubbles where the media we follow validates our opinion and we all have our own version of reality. I see it all the time with covid where people are peddling what I think is absolute rubbish but that is their reality and there is no convincing them otherwise.

It depends on the context. This video lays it out very nicely. The original context was not a knock on Hinduism (the actual poet was a communist/atheist). If anything it was used as a revolt against ZUH’s ban on sari’s in Pak. But in India it has been misappropriated against Hindus in the wrong context.

If you take the words literally that only the name of the god of Muslims (ie Allah) will survive then yes it is blatantly offensive to people who believe in different gods. Unfortunately, the fact is Islam does have an element of religious supremacy or at least a viable interpretation of religious supremacy where worshiping other gods are deemed sinful or unacceptable. Sadly, people who believe in a pluralistic version are not the loudest voices.

No thank you.

Because for non-believers in Allah, like us Hindus and other religious people, Islam looks down on us.

Abrahamic religions convert. Thats their goal.

I dont want to come under the rule of Islam and lose my identity and my 10000 year old sanatana dharma.

I am happy being a Hindu, the oldest and broadest way of living life. Even atheism is accepted in Hinduism.

We are accepted as we are and not so rigid and intolerant like the Abrahamic religions.

I hope you realize you’re not really upholding the value of Hinduism by the attitude of lets say the opening line of your post. It’s actually the exact opposite of what you claim Hinduism is.

The problematic lines of this composition by Faiz weren't included in the song.

And those lines are -

"Lazim hai ke hum bhi dekhenge. Jab arz-e-Khuda ke kaabe se. Sab bhut uthwaye jayenge, Hum ahl-e-safa mardood-e-harm. Masnad pe bithaye jayenge. Sab taaj uchale jaenge. Sab takht giraye jayenge. Bas naam rahega Allah ka. Hum dekhenge."

People can google for the complete poem and check for themselves why some people may have problem with the above lines.
