The Batman has dropped badly on Monday in India, and according to Box Office India the lifetime nett collection would be around 35-40 Crores.

If we compare it to Joker which released in 2019, it's lifetime figure was 64 Crores. Both movies opened the same at 5.75 Crores.
I understand there's a pandemic going on, but The Batman got a solo release unlike Joker which clashed with two movies War and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. That evens out the disadvantage of The Batman.
Joker was A rated, only released in English, no dubbed versions. That limited it's audience. It was violent and not for kids or family audience.
The Batman was dubbed in Hindi and other regional languages, was made for kids and the family audience. Also had action to appeal to the masses.
Then what made Indian audience like the villain movie more than superhero film? I've watched both Joker and the Batman movie in theaters. Audience gave standing ovation and clapped for Joker after the movie was over. While for Batman, audience was clearly bored and some of them made it clear that they didn't like the movie.
The Batman is doing great business all over the world, and has got huge critical appreciation as well. So what made Indian audience not like it? Has MCU spoiled them to look for humor in every superhero movie?
