Why Indian audience isn't impressed by "The Batman"? - Page 3

Can't compare Joker's storytelling with this new Batman. Joker was far superior. It was dark but entertaining. The story of Arthur Fleck was engaging from start to end. You will love, sympathize and hate the character. Joaquin phoenix immortalized Joker. So comparing joker to this new Batman is like comparing apples to oranges.

The new Batman is the boring movie ever made. A wannabe dark movie. Nolan is far superior than Reeves. And the vampire boy is the worst casting choice ever. He is no Christian bale or even compared to Ben Affleck,he fails.

The wannabe dark theme, the actor, the story telling everywhere Batman lacks, so it failed. Not even doing that great in international market. May improve in future. Can't say.

• Batman movie is not novel anymore. Too many movies, actors and representation in short amount of time.

• Joker was a novel idea and the movie was pretty entertaining.

• For three hours most Indian audience need some comic relief, songs and interval to recharge their energy.
  

Ps: Apart from the length, I am impressed by the new Batman.

Joker was a damn good movie, only movie I watched in theatre more than once after Avatar…

Its sad to see DC & Star trek franchise not performing as much as Marvel/Star Wars franchise

It might not be as good as other batman movies, I also think fatigue is setting in with all the superhero movies, most of them are bad, I mean Wonder Woman 84 was downright traumatic, Spiderman became bearable only after William Dafoe and Toby McGuire got on the screen. Movies and actors who live by PR their success also goes down after some time.

You can't say there's superhero fatigue when No Way Home made 1 Billion. Was the highest grossing movie of 2021, and sixth highest grossing film of all time.

From the comments I gather, Batman did not do well as it was expected to and they needed three Spidermen and some of the finer villains in spider verse to earn a billion.

For the same reason the amazing spiderman series failed. It was rebooted too soon and had a bland execution

Batman was boring..like i finished it after 2 weeks. It was slow, the Selena actress was bekar and whenever they leaned for kiss i threw up. It was too long.

But then I see reviews of fanbois am like what did I miss. Apparently its detective Batman movie, had lot of spoilers, sequels (if happen) will be awesome. I saw nothing.
