And let’s be fair and give some credit to poor SRK for Dear Zindagi opening.

Even Gangubai has Ajay Devgan in it. 

She's had strong male support in all her films. She's a star in her own right but the entire industry has supported her and gotten her there.

The other movies in the list didn't have any male star in them. 

I'm not sure about Ajay's role in Gangubai, whether it's the same length as SRK's role in Dear Zindagi or not.

But SRK had alot more involvement in DZ before it's release, he was there in the promos, posters, promotions. Ajay was only there in Gangubai trailer for a small amount of time. Gangubai is also a biopic and Alia is playing the titular character. This is more of an Alia film than DZ was.

So Ajay can't be credited for the opening atleast. Maybe the overall business if his role is similar to SRK in DZ.

Except BOI is not just including female centric films but also movies where the lead male actor is not a Superstar or even a bankable star, therefore his presence making no difference. 

Katrina has done such films. Phantom, Fitoor, Bar Bar Dekho would've all been credited to Katrina if those films had worked. She was also the only crowd puller in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. 

Even APKGK and New York, the openings should be completely credited to her. She was the top actress and Ranbir and John were nowhere near her level of popularity when these films released.

Can we call it a Sonam or Swara Bhaskar movie? They are Flop actors. 

DZ was Alia's film. Srk was there for 25-30mins

That's like saying 3 Idiots is not an Aamir movie.

ZNMD is a Hrithik movie and Kareena is a VDW movie from a box office standpoint. The level of business these films did were because of these actors. Would've done half of it if you remove them.

True but he was all over the posters and all up in the trailer. The average person wouldn’t know that he not a lead. It was misleading. Someone already posted a the same list from a few years ago where DZ wasn’t even listed and now suddenly it’s on there because we want to feed to ego of an overgrown child actor whose ego is out of control

Well Saif was continuously giving Flops at that time, and the streak is still going on. I haven't watched the movie so don't know about Katrina's role in it. 

Still can be credited for opening at least.
