KRPKAB 3 Re imagined

Hello all,

I am new on India forums and this is my first attempt on writing a fan fiction.

I have re imagined the events of season 3 just as they are with some more depth and analysis to our beloved Devakshi. In my series I wont be writing much about the nuisance Sanjana as we have already seen it in the show and she has constantly been getting on the fans as well as my nerves.

All suggestions and constructive criticism is welcome but pls no tomatoes and chappals if you don't like pls simply leave a thumbs down emoji.

I may post this Fanfic in parts and update it.

PREMISE-

Dev and Sonakshi were just going with the flow daily making efforts to be good parents to Shubh and Soha.

Saurabh Dada left working full time in Bose Nutrition private limited as he had enough of his  mundane job and wanted to start afresh and thus started working to open a new firm to help upcoming firms and startup to satisfy his desires of working in a dynamic environment. So he was working part time for this and invested all his savings behind this dream of his. He was also working with some other influential people and creating a strong network. After Asha's demise Raunita had automatically taken over all the household responsibilities, taking care of Mishti and giving Bijoy a lot of time to rest and rise from the grief of the death of his beloved wife.  

With age Ishwari too had become weak owing to her difficult life and poor dietary habits and to free her of the burden Sona had taken over the kitchen and other responsibilities more actively after Dev joined back office and started taking extra care of her mother in law by becoming as strict as never in making Ishwari follow a healthy diet ( which could also be said as an effect of her mother's Asha's demise), to avoid stairs Ishwari had shifted to the room on the ground floor and the kids room was shifted upstairs near Devakshi.

Riya's husband had got a promotion opportunity and soon in a month's time they bid goodbye to all and moved to the US. When the dixit sisters met in the US Neha helped Riya set up her new home and get things in place, she also shared her plight with Riya and Riya motivated Neha to talk to Maa and Bhai as they too well- wished for her and would understand and help her  but Neha wasn't very sure of how they would react especially her bhabhi who had every luxury she wished for was educated and thus could never understand how she felt living in a scarcity.

Vicky was better then ever and was living a dignified life with his new found understanding of right and wrong, he had made the whole family proud on him by successfully handling the workings of Ishwari enterprises in the absence of Dev. Inspired by his bhaiya and bhabhi and following in there steps he too bought his father's old house from dev and gifted it to his parents and shifted there living peacefully in their own little world. Soha and Golu are still best friends and as due to living in separate houses have become a bit reserved and close to each other as siblings and not very open to more newer members in their group.

Neha came back from the US unhappy sharing that she lacks something in her married life even though captain Rathod is a great guy but they don't love each other, as it was there second marriage she tried she tried a lot harder to make this relationship work but it didn't she also quoted devakshi's example and confessed that Ranveer was her one true love, and throughout this period of separation Ranveer had tried to contact her quite a few times and also toiled hard day and night to improve there lifestyle. He still wasn't as rich as the Dev dixit but had significantly improved from what he was. As teaching jobs aren't very rewarding. Sona decided to stay away from this matter as she was completely shattered after the demise of Asha Maa and never shared a very warm relation with Neha when compared to Dev's other sisters. Dev and Ishwari gave in to Neha's desire and  was divorced with mutual consent Dev still maintained a cordial relationship with Neha's ex husband for his corporation she was re united with Ranveer in a registrar marriage ceremony. 

Coming to the youngest Dixit sister Nikki was happily living with Laksh and had started following her passion of being a fashion Designer and was generally occupied with her work.

And life is just passing by.

PART-1- JUST ANOTHER DAY

Three years to when we last met (Krpkab season 2 last episode) a lot has changed Shubh has become a 3 year old toddler Soha is 10 years old, Devakshi's 11th anniversary recently passed by with no celebrations. No one had any premonition what these days were about to bring. It was a usual busy day for both Dev and Sonakshi, Dev's investors had held a brunch party and here Dev was waiting to be joined by Sona. Sona was running around the house in a bright white indo western suit gown with a handbag in one hand and phone in the other. Like any working mother the morning rush is relatable for many. As soon as she came downstairs she immediately hurried to help Soha pack her bag for school, when Ishwari came out of the  kitchen handing over Shubh to Sona simultaneously being on a video call with baba. Baba's reference of Asha was like an electric impulse to Sona as no one really knew neither she shared how much truly she missed her mother. 

All of them immediately settled at the dining table having their usual breakfast, Ishwari requested Sona to come back home early in the evening, To which Sona replied that she would try not very sure of this commitment as she had many work commitments lately and was not going to the office in the first half. She soon left from home and dropped Soha to school in the way and reached the venue. Dev in his crisp bottle green formals looking just as charming as always was having a conversation with Natasha who had  got married to Vishal a Germany based businessman a few years back, Vishal also had invested in dev's new real estate project. Natasha's inspiration to find true love was none other than Devakshi and she had no qualms about the past or her and Dev's called of engagement.

PART-2- SO CLOSE YET SO APART

Natasha soon remembered that Dev and Sonakshi had their marriage anniversary this month, she enthusiastically asked about the celebrations. But her spirits dampened as soon as dev replied that they didn't really celebrate much due to kids exam and work pressure in their respective offices. Anyways there relationship had come a lot far from the so called first dates which hardly mattered anymore. Sona too nodded at this. Soon Natasha and Vishal moved on to other guests at the party. Dev and Sona were busy in their responsibilities of home and office which had now gradually started taking toll on their happiness as well as relationship. 

The game of dumb charades began with a twist for the couple's where one partner had to enact while the other had to guess. In no time it was devakshi's turn, Sona went shyly and took up a chit. A beautiful old memory crossed her mind as she read the title. She enacted a simple pose of the two hands stretched apart. But even after numerous attempts Mr. Tubelight Dixit couldn't guess the film. After the time up Sona declared that the movie was Titanic which was once there favorite. Dev who couldn't come up with any better excuse as to why he couldn't guess the film said that it was such a long time back she could have done something different though mentally cursing himself on his stupidity as to how he couldn't guess it and kept beating around the bush thinking it as a Shahrukh pose. He made a mental note thinking such a DUMB person he can be at times. Dumb this word too had an interesting Devakshi incident behind it. Memories ha In the course of their marriage there has been infinite such moments that it was quite impossible to remember each especially nowadays when they hardly have any time to reminisce about those days. Thought Dev silently.

Natasha later initiated a conversation with Sona at the buffet table about how the things were earlier where was the sizzling chemistry and how they couldn't stay apart even for a moment to how they are currently and why there chemistry has turned into history. Natasha's words set Sona thinking. 

Sona answered how everything changes forms with time and so has there love, it has matured over the years they have spent together they have grown so comfortable with each other that even this comfort zone has become too comfortable with them. Life and it's struggles have taught them that love is not just about the lovey dovey phase but something greater the inner care and admiration which need not be always expressed. And anyways they are not the same young couple they were when they last met but parents to two school going kids and with all this there responsibilities to have grown manifolds. Besides the dumb charades thing wasn't really very important.

Natasha agreed slightly but also said that one could never tell how small things start affecting us so much even titanic sank for a little iceberg. Natasha's words prompted sona to think what has changed now which wasn't earlier.  

Soon they left the party and were driving to their offices. Dev was busy on the Bluetooth for his new real estate project as he had to prove his mettle once again in the biz world that just a break didn't change anything for the business tycoon. Sona was busy thinking about Natasha's words and the tiresome day that awaited her.

Suddenly when a car rashed in full haste beside there's. Dev was left shocked how irresponsible people can be on the road or maybe how less they cared for their loved ones. He immediately turned towards Sona, She was fine thanks to the seatbelt equally shocked as him towards the weird action of the driver of the other car. They continued the rest of their journey in silence and reached there respective offices.

At night 

Ishwari was putting her grandchildren to sleep, she remembered how dev too had a habit of sleeping while holding her hand. Dev who was just back from work was at the doorstep of the kids room and fondly smiled at his mother and her care towards her grandchildren. Ishwari asked Dev about Sona and told that no wonder how much she does for them kids always need their mother. Dev replied that Sona would come late today as she was too occupied today and she had already gone to the office at half time, he also knew that his answer wasn't going to pacify her much as for ishwari being a working mother had been so much tough and a threat posed in her mind that what if her grandchildren felt neglected by their mother just like Neha did. At times it is quite unreasonable to argue with mother's and their worries he thought to himself but at times necessary too. He was well aware of the different parenting patterns of his mother and his kids mother but thought to let them be themselves in front of the kids.

Next morning 

Sona brought two cup coffee for herself and dev to make up as last night she had been really very late to come home as today she was going to stay at home make Soha finish her project, take shubh out and Vicky Elina were also going to come over for lunch. Dev too had planned a light day ahead to come back at half time. Dev told Sona that a week ago he has stopped drinking coffee, Sona was surprised at his this decision as on days she has seen him drink 5 cups of coffee as well. She asked him how come she didn't get to know about it for a week to which he replied cheekily that just the same manner as he didn't knew about she turning vegan. Sona too remembered this incident very well as on the last day of her shortlived vegan diet dev discovered sona's new dietary preference on the dinner table and predicted the very next moment how this diet of hers wasn't going to go on for very long. And true to his words the very next morning she was back on her usual diet and by the end of the day had consumed all her favourites ignoring her nutrionist conscience. 

They both passed a smile on this not so old incident. 

Dev soon noticed the news about an accident on the ring road during the lunch ours when they too had crossed the very same road. Sona noticed the car and recognised as the one which overtook them speedily they discussed how unpredictable life is how no one knows what the day brings for them.

At the breakfast table the usual silent war of the different interpretations of healthy foods was seen from both the mother's side very soon dev realised it was best to escape the situation and the stares and went to office siting urgent work.

Its so interesting!
But how will they close the distance between them?

PART-3- THE REVEALATION

Dev was on his way to office when suddenly his phone rang, it was from an unknown no, He picked it up to find a nurse from Galaxy hospital, Hauz khas. She informed about a man named Rohit Verma being severely injured through a road accident was admitted in their hospital, the guy wanted to meet him. Dev immediately thought if he knew anyone of this name Rohit Verma and informed the nurse that there must have been some misunderstanding he doesn't know anyone by this name. The nurse confirmed that there has been no misunderstanding and she got his mobile no. from Rohit's personal phone. And requested him to come soon as his condition was not very stable.

Dev wondered what this new issue is and voice messaged Sona that something urgent has come up he would try to get home as soon as he wraps it up. 

Sona was not all pleased with his response Shubh was running all around the house creating mayhem a complete junior abhodro he was just with his mother's eyes. Soha too had an incomplete project on a volcano eruption. 

Ishwari asked sona to be not so complaining, she had always been so strong in everything she ever did and to keep a positive outlook to everything. And that she is not alone she has househelp, Ishwari herself is there for the kids and besides Dev is always by her side. So she shouldn't be fretting so much about the household and kids. She need not do everything all by herself. Parents too grow and learn with their kids. And as life partners it's not just Dev who has to be by her side but she too has to. Just as to support her he left his business similarly she too had to support him when he wishes to grow professionally. 

Sona was busy in her chain of thoughts when she felt maa's words resonated so much with aasha maa's words how husband and wife are better halves and are a shoulder to fall back on for each other. Charged with all this she went to soha's room who was sitting with her teddy in the corner of the room where they had made a shed kind of arrangement last summer complete with a rug, shelter curtain and fairy lights. Mission accomplished by Dev and the kiddos under Sona's guidance, when dev once again declared Soha to be a junior khargosh and how she too was fond of such fairy lights in her room similar to what sona did when she and dev were newly married. Sona too didn't stay behind in declaring Shubh as Junior abhodro as he too started messing with the decorations and lights as soon as they were put up.

Both mother and daughter sat in that setting hugging, cuddling and reciting, listening to stories. They were soon joined by Sona's piddu (Shubh).

Elsewhere

Dev entered a hospital ward to find a tall man of good physique on the bed heavily injured. He immediately tried to scan through his memory and remember this guy but came to the conclusion that this guy was a stranger. Dev questioned the guy about how come he had his mobile no. and why did he wish to contact him, he was careful in his mannerisms not to be abhodro.

Rohit responded slowly and said that he knew something that would turn his world upside down. He went on and said that Suhana isn't his daughter, Ayushman is his real biological child. Both the kids were exchanged by the nurse on his saying at birth.

He had bribed the nurse to do so.

Dev was shocked, stunned, mad all at once. He felt as if earth was snatched from beneath his feet, sky had fallen upon him. Apocalypse had struck, his insides were melting didn't knew what to do, all his senses were numb.
