Why wouldn't abhimanyu Aarohi work as a couple?

Let's consider akshara to not to be in the picture at all and let's consider it was an arrange marriage without any lies and abrohi got married, what do they lack for this marriage to work?

- They both understand each other's lives better having studied for the same thing. The connect is better when you belong to same profession and have had same kind of struggles.

- Both could discuss their work with each other and understand each other.

- along with being in birla hospital, they are together in house too so they can understand things better.

- Both have similar traits. Both are ambitious and not philosphical like akshara. Both have similar personalities . Both are self obsessed and are extremely ziddi. They know what they want in life and anyhow in life will get it. So that way they are compatible. They are selfish too when it comes to their own needs.

- why can't abhimanyu show her a better path. He being a righteous man and she a liar. Why couldn't he have supported her ? I'm sure she would have listened to abhimanyu. If Neil can do that, so can abhimanyu as abhimanyu is a kind of person who can put anyone straight. So he could have done that with Aarohi too. Plus, he is her senior so she would have to obey.

Why couldn't their marriage work I don't get it?

It's just a situation am considering when it's an arrange marriage .

Arranged marriage or love, does their mindset match ?

Abhimanyu cares for his family a lot , he would expect his wife to be as much respectful to his mother..will arohi do it ?

Abhimanyu and arohi will have same differences which harsh and abhimanyu have. Abhimanyus morals and ethics at workplace clash with harshs and they will clash with arohi also.

Because Arohi is not the kind of person that abhimanyu is looking for..all the points that you stated are valid but they are on face value..abhimanyu's mother has been forcing him to get married for a long time even before he met akshara..but he didn't budge..reason is that he never found the kind of person he was looking for marriage until he met akshara

Abhimanyu wants someone who can give him the love that he needs..he wants a person to become a source of peace and calmness in his life..he doesn't want a self obsessed and overly ambitious wife like arohi ..he wants someone who can nurture him like a mother..and give him the emotional connection that he's looking for..

AND THAT'S WHY ABHIMANYU FELL IN LOVE WITH AKSHARA AND NOT AROHI..because akshara is his sukoon

Because Abhimanyu hates liars and Arohi is an unrepentant liar.

If it was an arrange marriage it will have its own complications like any other marriage.

In terms of professional front I don't think Abhi will have any pblm. Because he is not ambitious like Aarohi, he takes his profession nto support the needy. So they are not similar. And I don't think Abhi is selfish. He is like every other person who have some traits. As per show he is behind Akshu is not because he is self it's because he knows she loves him the way he loves her so why would they sacrifice it. Whatever he does is right. If you look at I think what Akshu does is som ekind of selfish to her. She only concerned for her family's happiness. She never thought of Abhi. He is thinking about them their future. I know he is not considering what she want but as we know by her behaviour she shows him that she also want him as much as he wants her. ( This is my POV of abhi)

Whereas aarohi is selfish she doesn't care about anything or anyone she just focus on herself where Abhi is concerned for his family especially mom. Specially he is an emotional person where I don't think aarohi is. So they both are not similar in any way but by profession.

Abhi wants a stable relationship and he is not a person to change his wife frequently but i cant say that thing to arohi🤣 If she find a good surgeon who is from other country she might even ditch abhi. 😆

For eg mbbs was the best course she completed that. When mahima taunted her for being just an mbbs she went for more.

Similarly in future if abhi falls ill or if he looses memory or status which will make him nothing but normal human being she will definitely crave for more and might leave him when he might be expecting her to be there standing right beside him 😀

Arohi can never fall in love with attitude. In future she might change this habit but thats another discussion.

Interesting topic.

Let's say there's no Akshara and Abrohi had arranged marriage. First of all, till now they have shown Aarohi is self obsessed kameeni but not that bad of a person. I do feel there could have been issues between saas bahu. Manjiri is looked down upon by Harsh and even Mahima for being a homemaker and I feel Aarohi too wouldn't have been an exception. She too would have looked down upon her own saas. Till now Manjiri kept quiet and tolerated all the nonsense because Harsh and Mahima are elder to her but she may not have tolerated Aarohi's nonsense. This nonsense would affect Abrohi marriage. Abhi would be sandwiched between maa and biwi. So things would have been bad initially and they had to work on it.

Secondly, I feel there are just few similarities between Abrohi like both are career oriented and ambitious but other than that both are as different as chalk and cheese. So again there would have been some compatibility and understanding problems and both have worked on that too.

In short, Abhi and Aarohi marriage may have worked but they would have gone through lots of ups and downs to make the marriage work. Their married life would have never been easy.

These days, I usually refrain from analyzing the story like a normal audience. I can't seem to do anything other than make fun of it or give my academic hot takes.

Since I have been tagged and the topic is not really confined to the show, here is my two cents.

Anyway, I don't think a relationship will work better just because the couple studied the same thing or work in the same area at the same space. It will put all kind of expectations on one person and cause unnecessary strain and burden on a relationship.

Also, at home and office everywhere you are together doing the same job, wow, everyone needs a space of their own. You can't have your entire life revolving around this one person. An individual is more than their relationship with their spouse.

I am not saying people belonging to the same professions won't work well in relationships, it is just not necessary, because of the simple fact that everyone is different irrespective of their career choices.

And if you wanna be with an exact copy like yours, one might as well date themselves and I also see that as an extent of some other level of narcissism. 😆

The thing is if Abhimanyu even cared to consider her as someone he was going to spend the rest of his life with. He probably would have eventually come to terms with her and helped her.

But if you are forced into it you may never allow yourself to be open to that relationship.

Arohi herself is very self centerd and see things in an even more practical level than Abhi. She is on the different spectrum that what you achieve determines who you are. I think Abhimanyu just does things because it is the right thing to do. He may be a topper but I haven't found him flaunting his credentials around. His achievements are his own but it not what defines him. He rather do charity surgery than chase after a minister's case. As a doctor his job is to help people and shouldn't matter the size of their purse.
