I see your point and I do agree to a large extent that he has had an emotional relationship with three woman at this point. First he pulled in Pakhi, then got emotionally tangled with Sai without clearing things with Pakhi; now having an emotional pregnant widow dependent on him, while his wife stands by in tears thinking he’s having an affair. My view is that his biggest flaw is he thinks whatever happens in the moment is the end all be all. He met Pakhi and in a minute he decided he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. When she agreed to marry his brother, he promised her he’d NEVER love anyone but Pakhi. Kamal Sir died and he married Sai, but told her he will NEVER love her. Every moment for him is an absolute. Now he promised Shruti he will ALWAYS be there for her. Why not for once say, “I‘ll try my best”? So you have three woman who trusted your promises and none of them are happy and you look like a cheater to at least two of them. Shruti will soon be a victim of his failed promises and then they’ll be three of them let down by Virat. I don’t know the character sketch originally written for him, but to say his character has been butchered, is an understatement.
Actually everyone is a victim of failed promises of the biggest victim, vaado me barbaad ek dil...he thinks so highly of himself, how does he not think he is treading that line, how does he think he will balance three at a time. How does he get so much confident to be so absolute with everything when he can't fulfill even one promise. I don't know about getting butchered, his character sketch itself seems a problem, he is like this since start...then he was given a benefit of doubt but till when can he behave reckless.
