Let's relive SAAKK Season 1 together from the beginning, as we manifest a Season 2 together!

So, one of those episodes where you want to scold and hug anokhi in one go.

The start of the episode was weird. I am attributing the sudden burst of mother's love from Aastha to her near death situation! After 25 years now she realizes that her son still loves her and wants to play mother? Dont agree! And to agree to let anokhi talk, not ver Aastha like too

Anokhi, ihas no idea how complex Shaurya's emotions are at this point.I miss this sarcastic Shaurya. Uff the dialogues here!! At this point Anokhi is already pestering an already tortured soul without any clue about the mess he is! I loved the interaction, while here i take Shaurya's side, Anokhi with all her 20 year old logic pulls you a little. Having said that, girl, no way to speak to a professor!

I realised the other smart think Alok has done in the show is warn Tejvi of the baby Shakhi that was about to bloom ! Alok can see what this push and pull leads to? (Dayum Alok chachu!) He can clearly see how much this girl affects shaurya and now so can Tej. Tej has an indication that this relationship that they have built on fights, could lead to something.

Shaurya bans the girl and yet searches for her face in the class (How poetic!) and then gets annoyed that she did not attend (Typical shaurya!). Here I loved anokhi! What will to study! Someone who has had to fight for her eductaion could only do this. I liked the confrontation and mild concern when she was about to fall off the ladder.

He goes back, his ego does not let him call her to the class but his heart leaves the door open. Sir is teaching the class but is very consciously aware of her standing at the door. (I like theses scenes of sudden awareness)

Annnnnnddddd its his BIRTHDAY!!!! (Also, one of my fav Shakhi conversations!)

The mother’s heart lingered on to the hope that her son is good at heart as he visited her inspite of all his built up hatred that he showed off in the crudest way possible. Shaan meanwhile is haunted by the thought of divorcing the person he loves the most and not in a position to break the news to her. How come Shaan who has so much clarity in telling Astha not to bother Shaurya on his b’day as he hates her did not apply the same logic with Shaurya? Why did he ask Ss to visit the hospital when he was very well aware of the situation?

Anokhi… she is completely clueless about the complexity of the equation and thinks that she’ll be able to better it for Astha. Little does she know that the gulf that has been formed by the likes of BM can’t be bridged easily. She is deeply indebted to Astha and thinks it’s the least she can do.

Anokhi… does she talk to Ss as her professor… the answer is no and that holds true from day 1. She openly confronts, argues,Reasons with him fearlessly. And if there was someone else in Anokhi’s place they would’ve run away looking at his anger. Even then she stood firm and dared to list his shortcomings.

Inspite of all that Tej and Alok lectured him about, Shaurya’s mind was completely occupied by Anokhi’s thoughts..

Why does she affect him so much? Was it his guilt of punishing her by asking her not to attend the lesson? Just a professor thing?

Great going Anokhi… what will you have girl. I don’t think anyone can beat her at her will to study. Another action of hers enough to annoy the already annoyed Ss. What is it that he subconsciously stole a glance quickly to check on her?

Alok expressed his fear of these interactions resulting into the obvious and this shook BM to the core. Now they have two people to deal with .. not just Astha but Anokhi as well.

Side note: what’s with BM saying if not for Shaurya there is no existence for her?

So true. During all those hospital scenes I felt sorry for Shaurya. Everyone misunderstood him. He was absolutely lonely. Miss Bhalla was miffed thinking he left her alone.😆 I just couldn't stand ACP during these episodes. Hopeless fellow.

I loved class room scenes of Shakhi but unfortunately we got very less of it. Anokhi looked like some tiny doll in front of professor sahab on that ladder. And he always loses control when it's about miss Bhalla. Loved our confused professor Shaurya. ❤️

How does Aastha show her love for her son?She tells Shaan who is all worried about having to divorce her that no matter how much Shaurya hates her she as his mother can only love him. Is she living in dreamland? When did she realise she loves her son? How about all the years she was away? Agree when Shaurya was small she was not allowed to meet him, how about writing to him when he was studying? How about asking Shaan to make her meet him? She may have been angry with Shaan for not supporting her but why punish her son for his father's mistake?

Aastha is quick to notice Shaan's worry, and then enters Anokhi who notices how sad Aastha is and the latter tells her how difficult it was to live away from her son. This statement contradicts her strong character as shown so far. Unless if she was blackmailed or something dangerous happened, I cannot accept the fact she easily abandoned her son to the sabherwals knowing what a weak character Shaan is.

Anokhi and her mummyji ka psychology. there will be more to come as we move along...😉

Aastha once again says she did not abandon him but the truth is something else. If it was having to look after her parents then it is a lame excuse,,(as deba usually tells KV off in IVs,😃).

Anokhi as usual will try to play at mending bridges and try to convince Shaurya about meeting is mother, Aastha was correct in predicting that this would not sit well with Shaurya, but still she went!

From what angle does it look like Shaurya will listen to Anokhi? The girl is crazy! She lives in another universe...She has the firm belief that any child would like to be reunited to their mum. She has had a caring mother whilst shaurya, none, so how can she even think of convincing Shaurya,

What makes her think she has the right/duty to convince Shaurya?

She asks Shaurya permission to enter his office and when the latter asks her to take an appointment she does not listen. This is wrong, because as a student if your Professor asks you to come later you listen.

I love the sarcasm of shaurya, in fact I am also quite sarcastic in nature so understands him perfectly. Shaurya is correct in telling off Anokhi as she has no right in meddling in his personal life.

These two have crossed all barriers between Prof and student from the first day itself. Throwing Anokhi out from the lecture and stiill hoping she would be there and then letting the door open so she can listen and take notes, tells a lot about the fairness of Shaurya as a Professor.

I was quite pis*** *** with Aastha sudden motherly love springing out of nowhere. She has a special way of showing it 'keep away from your son for25 years at the hands of the Sabherwals"

Exactly, Anokhi was completely wrong to even attempt the reconciliation, she has no right.

When Anokhi is around, Shaurya loses his APPA, whatever that means.

(Dayum Alok chachu!) He can clearly see how much this girl affects shaurya and now so can Tej. Tej has an indication that this relationship that they have built on fights, could lead to something.

Total dedication indeed, she did run away from home for her studies.

This episode really brought forth the fact that Shaurya puts on a mask for the world and the significance of Anokhi is that she's able to crack it little by little. Shaurya to the world is the accommodating and accomplished professor and director of SIAC. But in the presence of Anokhi, he turns impulsive, shows his anger, and spews his bitterness. When he feels her coming too close, he reminds her that "you're just a student".

Aastha knows that her son's eyes speak louder than what his face conveys. Even she wonders why he holds himself back. To me, this was a disappointing dialogue. Shastha refuse to take the blame for this. Shaurya was himself for the first 4 years of his life and in return he got parents who abandoned him. For the last 25 years, he's played the role of the golden child and people have stuck around. Wouldn't that give someone the idea that they're the problem in the situation? Aastha actually says with pride "mera beta dil ka bohut acha hai". But she had no hand in that. Whatever we want to say about Shaurya's upbringing at the hands of Devi's regressive soch that she passed onto Shaurya, he turned out to be a sensitive and loving soul.

Anokhi is soooooo frustrating. She's interrupting and he's not in the mood! "Distrub karna to aapka fundamental right hai". She worsens his mood by mentioning Aastha! He maturely and politely asked her to leave(#1). Without knowing the situation, Anokhi asserts that mothers want to spend birthdays with their children. Shaurya is rightfully angry and points out that his mother didn't spend 25 birthdays with him. He asks her to leave again(#2). She counters that there's been a misunderstanding. Even if the misunderstanding is over Aastha leaving, what is the reasoning for her staying away for 25 years? Shaurya's anger blows up and he reminds her who he is and who she is in the equation. "Out...Get out....Please....Leave"(#3). She still counters that Aastha has been hurt whenever she's spoken to him. I hate that Anokhi totally dismisses Shaurya's hurt in all those interactions. He rants and kicks her out of class! It's amusing how he says things and doesn't let it go though his mental filter! Why does Anokhi act so dense? She requested one thing and he could have said "NO"........but he did say NO and she continued to bulldoze him. She lectures him and he listens! The fact that he continually asked her to leave but she totally disregarded him and then played victim in the situation is equal parts frustrating and amusing as a viewer.

When Shaurya rants to his family(Tej and Alok), Tej asks an interesting question, "Tum kya ho". Tej insinuated that the angry and impulsive Shaurya is not the real him. Tej wants his shaant good boy! It's most likely why Shaurya continues to twist himself to fit the mold. Tej is all about dignity, izzat, and position. Anokhi is the one that allowed Shaurya to reveal his real self and then loved him for it.

Side notes:

~ Shaurya's birthday is February 26! He normally avoids his birthday....but this year there's a surprise party!! I wonder what he normally did for his birthday.

~ Alok voices what we all see, "Iss ladki ke aage, apna hosh ko baith tha hai Shaurya". No one could understand how lost he would get in "that" girl!

~ Shaurya called Anokhi "nehaiti badtameez ladki".....I believe Devi calls Anokhi this exact term sometime later as well. He learned it all from his Badi Ma!!

~ I love our Jugni Anokhi. She finds a creative solution to attend class! I liked that at the end, Shaurya leaves the door open so she can stand outside and listen to lecture. He respects her as a student at least. Would we call this their first compromise?

Anokhi can be frustrating as hell to watch, but you also know that her heart is in the right place. She comes to every situation looking for a solution. She's just not any match for the savage Shaurya. I miss him too. He saved his savagery for others later. I take Shaurya's side in all situations when I'm watching, then when I do the review, I try to be fair! 😃 Anokhi doesn't talk to him like a professor because he's gone way beyond that in her mind! She just isn't fully aware. They're gaining that slow awareness of each other!!

Alok chachu didn't get enough credit for being the first one to see the hate to love potential for Shakhi!

Being a student, I never had Anokhi level will to learn! But being a professor, I hope that all my students could cultivate this level of interest in their education.

Shaan only saw his "Noor"'s pain. Anokhi did the same thing by only seeing Aastha's pain. Both of them disregarded Shaurya's pain, who was actually the innocent in all of this!

Shaurya is weird. He looks for her before class and find her seat empty. He sees her during class and scolds her. He sees her while lecturing and lets her be. Why does his eyes search for her always?? She's like an earworm, continuously living rent free in his head!

Yes....Devi says 'Shaurya hai to Devi ka wajood hai" It was an interesting dialogue that I have a theory for. I think she was fearful of infertility(hers or Tej's). I think to avoid having fingers pointed at her(or Tej) for not giving the eldest Sabherwal a waaris, she stole a Sabherwal child. I think Shaurya isn't a product of her maternal love, but a selfish protective tactic. It will stay unproven!!
