Rishtey...Relationships...Part 1

I dedicate this to my friend KajalPanghal4 who wanted me to write on this theme.

Two small boys are playing.

Their parents came with toys.They are Manik and Nandini.

Manik:Naksh!

Nandini:Rudra!See the toys we bought for you both.

Naksh and Rudra got excited:Wow....

Naksh took a teddy bear from the packet.

Naksh:I loved this one the most.I will take this.

Rudra's face became dull.

Rudra:I also want this teddy bear as I also liked it the most.

Naksh:Rudra,I took this first.So you take some other toy.

Rudra started crying.

Rudra:No,I want this toy itself.

Nandini started wiping his tears.

Nandini:Don't cry Rudra beta.

Manik:Naksh,give the teddy bear to Rudra.

Naksh:But dad...I also liked this the most.

Manik:See how your little brother is crying.Don't make him sad beta.

Naksh gave the teddy bear to Rudra.Rudra became very happy.

Rudra:Thank you bhaiyya.

Naksh gave a painful smile.

Naksh thought:Rudra's tears are affecting my parents.But why they are not seeing my pain?

Nandini caressed Naksh and said:Naksh,the other toys are for you.

Naksh:Like Rudra,I also liked only this teddy bear Mom.

Naksh walked away.Nandini became dull.

Manik and Nandini smiled seeing Rudra playing happily with the teddy bear.

Nandini:Manik,Naksh looks upset.Does he feel that we are more affectionate towards Rudra?

Manik:we love both our sons equally.Naksh can understand that.He is very understanding.

Nandini smiled.

Naksh was sitting with his friend Sitara in the playground.

Naksh:I can't understand why my parents hate me.

Sitara:You simply feel like that Naksh.Your parents love you.

Naksh:No Sitara.They like only Rudra.

Sitara:But Rudra loves you.Right?

Naksh:Yes.Sometimes I feel that you are the only one who understands me.

Sitara held his hand and smiled.

Sitara:Yes Naksh.I will always be with you as your best friend.

He smiled.

Suddenly Rudra came in between them.

He held Sitara's hand:Sitara,lets play.

Sitara was silent.

Rudra:Please play with me Sitara.

Naksh became dull:Ok...you guys carry on.I am going.

Suddenly Sitara held his hand.

Sitara:You also play with us Naksh.We all are in one gang.If you go,there won't be any fun.

Rudra:Sitara is right bhaiyya.You also play with us.

Naksh smiled:Ok.

The trio played together.

Years passed....

They are in college now.

Naksh and Rudra came with the report card.

Naksh:Dad..mom..I won first rank.

Nandini:Wow Naksh..well done.

Manik:I knew that you will win  this time also.

Naksh smiled.

Rudra:I got 68 percent for Maths.

Manik-Nandini were surprised.

Nandini:Really?

Manik:I am really proud of you Rudra.You were always failing or getting less marls for Maths.But for the first time you got this much for Maths.

Nandini:It's a great achievement.

Manik:I told you that I will gift you a car if you score 60 percent.I will keep up my promise.I will gift you a car.

Rudra was excited:Thank you dad.

Rudra hugged Manik.

Naksh thought:I won first rank.But my parents are more happier for Rudra's 60 plus percent.Why this is happening with me?

He walked away with a dull face.

Nandini to Manik:Will Naksh feel bad for not buying him car?

Manik:No Nandini.As you know Naksh is a simple guy.He is not crazy about cars.He does'nt like gifts also.But I will give him a surprise gift after completing the final exams.I will make him the head of my business.For his intelligence he deserves it.

Nandini smiled.

Nandini:I think you are right Manik.

He smiled.

Manik and Nandini entered the main hall of their house and got surprised seeing the decorations.

Rudra and Naksh:Happy wedding anniversary mom dad..

Nandini-Manik were surprised:Wow...

Nandini:We never expected this surprise.

Rudra:We are like that.We like surprising you both.

Naksh:Cut the cake dad mom...

Nandini and Manik cut the cake and fed each other.

Naksh:Mom...dad...you both are still madly in love with each other.What's the secret?

Manik:The secret of a successful love story is only love.

Nandini:Yes.I got Manik who loves me a lot..

Manik:And I got Nandini who loves me a lot.That's why we love each other a lot.

Nandini:We pray that you both get the ones who love you a lot.

Naksh and Rudra blushed.

Nandini went to their bedroom.She was surprised to see the room being decorated.

Manik came near her.

She smiled.

Nandini:First ..a surprise from our sons.Now from you too.

Manik:We celebrated our wedding anniversary with our sons.Now we have to celebrate it privately too...just you and me.Right?

Nandini blushed.

They embraced each other romantically forgetting everything.

Manik took his guitar and played it for Nandini looking at her with his romantic eyes.Nandini was immersed in the music.

College....

Naksh and Rudra were sitting on the verandah with their friends.A girl entered the college compound.Naksh's face blossomed seeing her.

She was none other than Sitara.

Naksh got mesmerized by her beauty.Unknown to him,another person was also lost in her.He was none other than his brother Rudra.

Rudra murmured cheerfully:Sitara!

Both the boys were lost in Sitara.But who is in Sitara's heart?

Fabulous and so Fascinating Start

Naksh is too little to understand his parents' love. They are taking it lightly.

The way Naksh sees it, Rudra ia always getting better treatment than him.

Rudra has to learn that he can't have everything he wants and Naksh can not always give in.

Valentine's day arrived...

Manik gave flowers to Nandini.

Nandini smelled those flowers with a blush.

Nandini:Are you repeating our past

 moments Manik?

Manik:Why not?After all years back on this Valentine's day only I proposed you.You 

remember that?

Nandini blushed.

Nandini:Can I ever forget that beautiful moment where we decided to be with 

each other in the bond of marriage?

He smiled.

Flash back....

Nandini went to the place Manik asked her  to come.The lights went off.Nandini got 

scared.

Nandini:Manik....where are you?

Suddenly the spotlight fell on a particular 

area where Nandini looked.Her face blossomed seeing Manik there with a guitar.

Manik started singing..

He walked towards Nandini  and held her 

hand.

In a musical tone he asked her:Will you marry me?

She blushed nodding her head.

They embraced each other.

He continued singing looking at her 

romantically.

They shared an intense eye lock while he sang for her.

Present.....

Sitara dressed up to go to Naksh-Rudra's 

house.

Sitara's mother  Muskaan asked her:Where 

are you 

going Sitara?

Sitara:I am going to Manik uncle's house.

Both Naksh and Rudra have invited me 

there.They said that they want to tell me 

something.

Muskaan:Ok.Carry on.

Sitara:Ok mom...

.

Sitara reached Manik's house.

Rudra came towards her.

Sitara:Hi Rudra...why did you call me?

Rudra gave her the flowers which he hid 

behind.

Rudra:Happy Valentine's day.

Sitara:Oh..thank you Rudra.These flowers 

are beautiful. 

Rudra smiled.

Manik and Nandini who came that way saw this and got surprised.They went back to 

their room.

Manik:That means Rudra and Sitara love each other.

Nandini:Yes Manik.I am very happy for 

them.We should talk to them about marriage.

Manik:Yes Nandini.I am really excited.

Sitara to Rudra:You said that you want to 

tell me

 something.

Rudra stammered.

He thought:I want to tell you how much I love you Sitara.But right now I am nervous to confess my love to you.

Rudra:It's just that I wanted to wish you specially on this beautiful romantic day.Happy Valentine's 

day.

Sitara smiled showing a heart with her fingers and said:Happy Valentine's day to you too Rudra.

He smiled.

Naksh took the glass red heart he bought from the shop for Sitara. 

Naksh:I will confess my love to you now Sitara.

He walked to leave the room to meet Sitara.But he slipped and the glass heart fell down and broke.

He became upset.

Naksh:Oh no...the heart broke.But it's ok.I 

will buy another heart and propose Sitara 

later.

He went towards Sitara.

Sitara:Hi Naksh..Happy Valentine's day.

Naksh:Same to you Sitara.

Sitara smiled.

Sitara:Why did you call me Naksh?

Naksh thought:Now I can't tell her why I

 invited her.

Naksh:I called you here to wish you a happy Valentine's day.

Sitara smiled.

Naksh:By the way you look gorgeous.

She blushed:Thank you.

Sitara:You also look handsome Naksh.

Naksh smiled cutely as he was on cloud nine hearing compliment from his lady love.

After some hours...

Rudra was thinking of Sitara and blushing.

Nandini  went near him.

Nandini:About whom are you dreaming?Sitara?

Rudra became embarrassed.

Rudra:How did you understand that mom?

Nandini:So I was right.You love Sitara.

Rudra blushed.

Rudra:Yes.But I don't know whether Sitara loves me.

Nandini:She also loves you for sure.Who cannot love you?

He blushed.

Naksh entered Manik Nandini's room.

Naksh:Dad...mom...I want to tell you an important matter.

Nandini:You say beta...

Naksh:I am in love.

They were surprised. 

Manik:You are also in love.Cool.

Nandini:Your both sons are romantic like you Manik.

He smiled.

Manik:Who is that lucky girl?

Naksh blushed:Sitara. 

Manik and Nandini were shocked.

Manik:Did you tell Sitara that you love her?Does Sitara love you?

Naksh:I didn't  tell her that I love her.She 

didn't tell me openly that she loves me.But 

from her face I can understand that she also loves me.

Manik and Nandini became upset.

Manik:Since Sitara doesn't know that you

 love her please forget her Naksh.

Naksh was shocked.

Naksh:Why should I forget her dad?Tell me.

Manik:Because Rudra also loves Sitara.

Naksh was shocked.

Manik:Rudra won't be able to control himself if he loses Sitara.So please forget her Naksh.

Naksh was shattered.

Naksh:Why are you always asking me to sacrifice for Rudra?Since childhood I have been asked to 

sacrifice.Now I should sacrifice my love also for Rudra?Why?

His tears flowed down.

Naksh:Why do you guys hate me?Am I not 

your son?

Manik and Nandini's hearts got pricked.

Nandini:Naksh...you know about Rudra 

very well.Then why can't you understand 

why we are asking you to sacrifice Sitara for Rudra?

Naksh was silent.

Manik:Since childhood whenever Rudra did'nt get anything he has a tendency to hurt himself.A few years ago when Rudra did'nt get the marks he deserved he even hurt himself so much that only 

because of luck we could save his life.

Naksh:I know.But his psychiatrist said that he is cured.Then why?

Manik:But the doctor told us not to give him any stress.

Naksh left the room tearfully.

Naksh sat in his room thinking of Rudra and Sitara crying.

Naksh:Why this is happening with me always?But I can't sacrifice Sitara.I will tell this to dad and 

mom.

Naksh walked out of his room to meet Manik and Nandini.

Nandini to Manik:Manik...today Naksh asked us whether he is our real son.My heart broke hearing

 his

 question.I think we should tell the truth to our son.We should tell him the truth that he is not our real son.

Suddenly they saw Naksh at the door way.His eyes were teary.

Naksh:So my doubt was right.You both are not my real parents and that's why you both always 

valued Rudra more.That's why you both want me to lose Sitara and Rudra to get her.

Nandini was in tears.

Naksh:Tell me who my real parents.

Manik:You want to know who your real parents are.Right?I will show them to you.

Manik took a photograph of a couple from the cupboard and showed it to Naksh.Naksh was stunned.
