Sai was off

Not sure what makers were trying to show specifically in Sais actions today but i think it was a mix of things.

Perhaps there was nervousness about her performance, the stress of making sure she took everything, missing her aabaa - its prolly thr girst time she is performing and her father wont be there, stress about her plan to make sure that everyone including the trifecta attend her function.

I am not sure if she was "taking it all out" on Virat - i think maybe she was.

And somewhere Virat seemed to get it. He seemed to be distracting her from whatever was on her mind and was partially successful but not quite. But i think thats why unlike audience he didnt look as affected by her "rudeness" this time . Normally he does. If she says something rude/off, he immediately frowns ,or looks upset But today he gave more of an affectionate smile n shake of head to say that- i get you, you pretend like you dont like it or dont care but really Sai is eager to have him there, care that Virat should get there in time, is touched by his gesture of leaving car too but wont acknowledge it. The "you invited yourself" was not needed but i understood the hesitancy about not taking his car because she doesn't want to get taunted about how Virat is going out of the way for her sake. She is really holding herself back from taking money, gifts, "favors"from him, even though she feels natural in doing so. Infact not relying on him is am effort. But Virat is really reading her face, expressions more than her actual words. He was happy to see how despite being occupied, she knew exact answers to his questions. Wheres the kercheif- right hand 2nd drawer, wheres the wallet- table. She knew it all. So he can see she cares/in tune. So he is trying to give her time. Sometimes he fails because he wants her to get to his stage already but mostly he is patient. So He is not forcing her to "accept" things but doing them anyway because he knows she will eventually bend. Whether that be the nakhre about inviting but having complimentary ticket for him, whether it be accepting money for 6 tickets even though she wants to pay him back for the extra, whether it be not wanting to take car but eventually going when he makes mohit insist on dropping her. He has also figured out what buttons to push to get her to do these things. So i think its very domestic. Unlike the audience like us that is affected by her bluntness and rudeness, virat is accustomed to it and can see past it all. He can sense that she is fighting the feeling of getting dependent on him or caring too much about him so he is letting her take her time.

Loved him for being so. For her the performance matters because coming from GC ,first time she is performing on a big stage and so the tension that she won’t show off. She very much wants Virat to be there to see her and support her. People think that she is being extra concerned to make the family attend but I say she bothers because they are Virat’s family. He is important for her. She may not say it but Virat thankfully is reaching there and gauging the inner feelings rather than judging her by her outward pretence that borders on rudeness..

You just spoke my mind. I couldn't understand Sai's behaviour either. Virat acted like most spouse would do in such situations , One has to bow down to get the other closer. Sai has long long way to go as a wife. She was acting mostly like old GC Sai, stubborn ,brattish. Hope Virat keeps his calm as he is the elder one.

I still can't figure out her obsession to take Kaku and minions to her fest. Earlier I thought it was because she felt it may make her life easier in Chavan Nivas or for Virat. But it looked like as if a10 years old kid demanding for attention from all.

The main problem is in writing. The transition between Sai behaviour towards Virat returning from Mission and now has no proper logical flow. She gave Vaada to Pakhi may be spur of the moment then she completely forgotten once he returned.

I am liking Mansi bua. She has put pakhi at right place without saying much. 😆

Loved your post. I too couldn't figure out Sai's behaviour today but after reading your post I realised it was a mixture of tension and missing her Aaba. Virat has begun to understand her perspective and knows how to get her to realise her feelings towards him.

But, still I don't understand why she's forcing the Chakras to attend the fest. And, she will be successful in getting them but they'll never appreciate her.

She's forcing them coz shes trying to worm her way into their heart coz she is tired of daily drama. She wants to be on good terms with them coz she has to if shes actually gonna live with them for nect few years even. Plus she wants to stop getting Virat stick between her n them. Shes now seeing how Virat gets stuck and feels guilty.

I understand your point. But, are they even ready to acknowledge her efforts? In today's episode she said that her friends are eager to meet them since she had told them that she's got a very lovely family but Bhavani smirked and said when they're not bothered about her why would they bother about her friends. I mean after taking so much efforts when people don't acknowledge us we do get tired and finally we just leave them on their own.

Yeah I forgot about her vaada about giving up her rights. May be that could be it and also she doesn’t want to bring virat in. They keep saying that she controls him and she wants to prove them wrong.

I think (and hope) that they are trying to show Sai caught between her head and heart. Somewhere she is falling for him, but her head wants to maintain a safe distance - so as to not suffer a heartbreak. So it's kind of like a defence mechanism. It could have lead to some tension, but Virat handled it maturely - and realized that she was saying something but feeling something else. Somehow today I felt like I was watching GC Sai and Virat. Sai acting indifferent and nonchalant and Virat being perceptive, patient.

Loved the way you wrote about Sai and Virat being in different stages of their relationship. Virat is by and large patient and gives Sai space, but suddenly loses it when hit by insecurity.

She is stubborn. But yes, she has a limit. If they dont cave soon, she will give up.
