Regional or folk theme

I wish they have all the contestants singing regional or folk based songs. Not necessarily in that language..it can be a BW song based on that music.

Agar sab traditionally dressed ho to sone par suhaaga..and if possible they choose other regions , not their homestate.

Like Aru as a pahadan or Gujarati

Shanmukh as a bengali

Sayli as a Kashmiri with that cute smile

Ashish in Vaishnav's attire😆

Danish - Rajasthani

Nihal - Assamese/Odiya

Pawan - Punjabi

A singer performing on a song belonging to a state different than his birth place, in his own country is inclusiveness..it's not regionalism, it's unity in diversity.

Haven't mentioned caste and community so pls don't bring such words here.

Our Music is a part of our culture, and folk music is our heritage..we should be proud of promoting it.

You are promoting by making them remind like "Oh look you are a Bengali so you should try being a Punjabi just for fun". India is one. Not Punjab, Bengal, Assam, Rajasthan. Stop dividing. We have already suffered from this under the British rule. I am not sure if you are an Indian. I don't think you know about our history.

Nothing wrong in singing regional languages. In fact “real” singers will be able to sing in any languages.

Look at Lataji, ashaji, Rafiji, Kishoreji, Mukeshji, Manna Dey, Jagjit Singh, Anup Jalota, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Alkaji to name a few have sung in various languages.

I’ve said so many times in Indian Idol forums that even the contestants should be given a theme to sing regional songs/in languages. At least songs will not be repeated and would make the show more interesting to watch.

I am very much Indian ..Thank you ..and I know our history..both what has been taught to us and not taught to us.

And Unity in Diversity is what we have always believed in. If u feel otherwise well n good. I won't argue.

But what to do of the new fad ..division nahi karne ko bol rahe hai lekin logo ne kitne divisions karke rakhe hai apne desh me..so many types of 'isms'..and the worst is 'wokeism'..

Kahan gaye wo log.. seedhi,simple soch waale
