Hello everyone, my name is Anam and I enjoy reading and hence decided to start a book club. I've been toying with the idea of a book club for a while now but often wondered if anyone would be interested in being part of it, considering that there are several book clubs already. A big thank you to the five members who showed an interest in the idea of a book club and encouraged me to start one.
One of main reasons to start a book club is to read varied genres which unfortunately I haven't been very good at doing. I'm assuming it is the same with some others here as well; we are very comfortable in sticking to the genres we have always been reading. Hopefully this book club will change that for us without making us go way out of our comfort zones; because at the end of the day we have to enjoy what we are reading, which is always the main reason to read.
Hope many of you join in and we have a good time reading
1. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
2. Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
3. The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
4. Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
5. The Bride Test by Helen Hoang
6. The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino
7. Finlay Donovan is Killing It by Elle Cosimano
8. Radio Silence by Alice Oseman
9. Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
July: Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi
August: People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry
Eileen by Ottessa Moshfegh
Diya, you are on a roll! Didn't think you would pick up a romance voluntarily
I'm rather enjoying reading so many books in a short time. The only time it has happened before was when I was reading a series. Also thanks to you for selecting short books
@bold: Neither did I tbh. The only reason is that I haven't downloaded the rest of the books yet, and this is the only book already uploaded to my reader.
