My theory on Devyani's honour 'killing'

Since they have decided to whitewash Bhavani, there will definitely be a backstory. Someone Bhavani loved (is she even capable of that?) , maybe a sister probably married a servant. That servant exploited his wife...maybe sold her into a brothel.

When Devyani wanted to marry Pulkit, all the flashbacks came back. She was afraid that Devyani will suffer the same fate as her sister at the hands of Pulkit. So she forcefully separated her from Pulkit and Harini and hoped to marry Devyani to someone else. But she did not expect Devyani to lose her mental balance. Hence, whatever Bhavani did stemmed from her pain and her instinct to protect Devyani from harm. Lo and behold...Bhavani becomes a coconut - upar se kadak, andar se naram. Doesn't matter that she was least bothered about Devyani's well-being after DevKit wedding and more happy about Sai not coming back to CN.

With Bhavani's whitewashing nothing else makes much sense. Virat's toxic upbringing is a major point in his characerization since his weaknesses, his flaws become unrelatable without that. The ups and downs SaiRat have faced loses a lot of context since the toxic family had a major role in their MUs (Pakhi being the other factor). If the writers themselves don't care about the story and characters, why should we.......

I won't be surprised if they bring up some crap story from the past to justify Kaku's thinking. In any case, she didn't 'know' Devi would go cuckoo after she separated her from her husband and told her her child was stillborn. So her excuse is not knowing? What about the medicines being given to keep her sedated all these years? What about not showing her one moment of affection until that Mata kumata dialogue. Oh please. If there's a kumata in this world it's Bhavani Kaku. To brush her crimes under the carpet with a "I didn't know" and "I love my daughter" is just unacceptable to me. At least they could have kept her evil. That would have been somewhat ok. This is not ok.

I think for the online viewers they added the disclaimer. To avoid the uproar in SM.

Ma ka mamtha is great TRP aunties material and they are using it to whitewash kaku.

Last few lines about cvs not caring about the consistency of the story is the ultimate truth. Since they have become number one for three consecutive week I doubt they will care for people like us.

One of my friend here mentioned that top four shows in ITV currently are about two women chasing one guy. TRP audience seems to like stuff like this.

with ott platforms there are plenty of better content available. Best option would be to move on rather than watching this regressive crapfest.

Ofcourse Bhavani is the ultimate kumata. But neither will they show SaiRat taking any action against Bhavani nor will they show Bhavani as evil..

Wrong medication and her lack of basic emotion towards her daughter will all be forgotten .... they will create some tear-jerking backstory and absolve Bhavani of her crimes....

I don't know how a group of young, educated writers can have no qualms about trivializing such a grave issue. The details of Devyani's past were chilling and disturbing....

Yep...disclaimer was for online viewers. Bunch of shitheads. As someone made a post yesterday, such crimes don't happen only in some remote villages, it happens in cities, in middle-class families. The people who commit these crimes justify it exactly the way Bhavani did today....

I think this is the end of the road for me too......Lots of better stuff to watch than stick to this crapload...
