ShiVi Drabble - Healed
After Rishita got a panic attack because of Krish and Shiva. Dhara had been furious. She hit Shiva and Krish with stick. Krish had been crying uncontrollably and Shiva was upset in his room.
Being the younger child, Krish was always guarded but today Dhara had shouted on him for Rishita who had literally been rude to everyone. He was hurt. Raavi went his room with ointment. Krish refused to apply it. He was too upset. He had been waiting for Dhara Bhabhi to come to him.
“I know tu apni Dhara bhabhi ka wait kar raha hai aur mai vo nai hoon. Par teri ye bhabhi bhi itni buri nai hai. Dhara di gusse mein hai unko thoda waqt do”
“Raavi Bhabhi muje nai pata tha unhe panic attack aa jayega. Maine jaan ke nai kiya. Aap muje jante ho na.”
Krish hugged Raavi and started crying.
“Mai janti hoon Krish. Koi baat nai tuje andaza nai tha.” Raavi consoled Krish
Shiva entered Krish’s room to console him. He knew his younger brother. He was a crybaby. He saw Raavi already there consoling him. He always knew his chudail was close to his family but he didn’t know this close. She was exactly doing what Dhara bhabhi would do. She had always been possessive about Krish and had got really worried when he had cooked up a baseless story. She genuinely cared. Maybe he had got lucky with Raavi. Whatever maybe their relationship, but Raavi was the perfect fit for Pandya bahu and he now felt it.
Raavi applied ointment where Krish was hurt and and helped him relax and sleep. As she turned to move out of the room, she saw Shiva standing there staring at her. She came to him, caught his wrist and dragged him to their room.
“Kahan lagi hai? Mai ointment laga deti hoon.”
“Koi baat nai muje dede mai laga deta hoon”
“Ek baat theek se nai kar sakta. Bata ab.”
Seeing Shiva not responding to her, she went to him and checked his arms which were bruised and pulled up his vest to see if he was hurt making him uncomfortable. His back was bruised.
Raavi could not control her tears. She applied ointment on the wounds crying silently.
“Tu kyu ro rai hai?”
“Tuje aur Krish ko kitni lagi hai. Muje tujpe vishwas nai karna chaiye tha. Na ye sab hota na Rishita ko panic attack na tum dono aise” she sobbed
“Aye chipkali.. Ro mat. Sab theek ho jayega.”
Shiva pulled her in a hug which she gladly responded.
“Mai tum dono ko aise nai dekh sakti. Mai Dhara bhabhi se bahut pyaar karti hoon. Par ye sahi nahi hai.”
“Unka haq hai humpe. Tu sab janti hai. Galti hamari thi. Overboard ho gaye. Tu aa chal so jate hai. Kuch waqt de sab theek ho jayega.”
“Sach?”
“Sach”
“Koi ghar chodke nai jayega na? Muje ye parivaar saath saath hi acha lagta hai”
“Koi kahi nai jayega. So jaa.”
Shiva put Raavi to sleep. He wondered if he actually got lucky. Where was he to find a woman so attached to his family? For Raavi, Pandya family has always been hers and after seeing Rishta, he had realised that obviously she had no attachment with the family and was not ready to build one too.
Shiva indeed felt that he got lucky. Someday family was to force him to get married and god knows who that would have been. He’s lucky Raavi cares for his family like he does. Today, he genuinely felt he wanted to forget everything and move ahead with Raavi. Maybe the wedding fiasco wasn’t that bad.
Shiva checked Raavi if she had slept. He wiped the dry tears from her face and settled on his side of the bed. He should have been upset but trust chipkali to change his mood in seconds. He finally drifted off to sleep with a content smile on his face.
