Shivi FF: Couple’s Day part 6, pg.6 (finished)

I started writing this ff yesterday late night. Tell me if you like this concept. I still don’t know how many parts this will have. 

Dhara had called the entire family in the living room, the first thing in the morning. No one knew why. Even Gaumbi was confused. Dhara had said she had taken an important decision and she needed to convey it to the family. Everyone came to the living room and took their seats. 

Dhara took a long breath. She had taken this decision after a whole night of thinking. After the whole Raavi and Rishita fiasco, she believed this was the right decision. It might even do them some good. Rishita may stop fighting them after this, and maybe this might bring Shiva-Raavi closer together. 

“Rishita maine bohot socha kal ke baare mein.” Dhara started and she had everyone attention. “Aur shayad tum sahi ho. Woh kya hai na, main jab iss ghar mein shaadi karke aayi thi tab Dev, Shiva aur Krish bachhe the. Un logo ke rehte, mujhe Gaumbi ke saath zyaada alone time spend karne ka mauka hi nahi mila. Main toh tabse sabka khyaal rakhne mein lag gayi. Par tumhari koi aisi majboori nahi hai. Ab koi bachha nahi raha.”

“Main bachha hu.” Krish suddenly chimed in. He had this feeling that he won’t like where this is going. 

“Krish-chup kar. Toh yeh baat dimaag mein rakhke maine yeh faisla liya hai ki hafte mein ek din, hum sab family time chodke couple time spend karenge.”

Rishita’s face brightened up. “Sach bhabi? Main Dev ke saath alone time spend kar sakti hu? Hum bahar ghumne jaa sakte hai?”

“Haa Rishita.” Dhara said. “Aaj ke din tum dono ko chahe karo. Sirf tum dono hi nahi, Raavi-Shiva aur main aur Gaumbi, hum log aapas mein time spend karenge.”

Dev looked slightly uncomfortable. He knew this new decision was because of his wife. She hurt his bhabi, and he couldn’t understand if his bhabi had taken this decision out of anger. But there was no anger on her face. Even Gaumbi looked cool with this decision. Rishita was almost jumping in joy. 

“2 saal tak alone time spend karke bhi mann nahi bhara.” Krish whispered.

The only couple who looked unhappy with this decision were Shiva and Raavi. They didn’t want to spend alone time together. In fact, they wanted to spend no time together. The other person who looked unhappy was Krish, who didn’t have a better half to spend his day with. 

“Aur ek aur baat. Yeh bilkul bhi expect mat karna ki main aaj ke din tum logo ke liye khana banaungi. Yeh din main bhi Gaumbi ke saath spend karna chahti hu toh main sirf hum dono ka khana banaungi. Tum log apna apna dekh lena.” Dhara said. 

“Koi baat nahi. Hum aaj bahar kha lenge.” Rishita said. 

“Ek minute, mere liye khana kaun banayega?” Krish asked. 

“Tere liye khana main banaungi.” Dhara smiled. 

“Koi zaroorat nahi.” Suman spoke up. “Yeh kaagri yaha muft ki rotiyan tod rahi hai. Yeh banayegi hum log ka khana. Tum log apna dekh lo.”

Prafulla made a face at Suman’s declaration, but didn’t dare say no to her. Krish made a face too, because he didn’t like his Maami’s cooking. So it was decided, Prafulla was going to cook for her, Anita, Suman and Krish. How Krish regretted not seeing his mystery girl. He could have gone on a date with her otherwise. 

“Dev, aaj hum sightseeing jayenge. Okay?” Rishita asked. Dev said yes. 

“Ek aur baat.” Dhara said. “Aaj raat ko maine yaha ke staff se kehkar candle light dinner plan karaya hai, hum teeno couples ke liye. Toh 8 baje front lawn main pohoch jana.”

“Wow bhabhi! Aap bhi itne romantic plan bana sakti ho mujhe pata hi nahi tha.” Rishita said. 

“Meri shaadi ko 10 saal ho chuke hai Rishita. Toh obvious si baat hai ki maine yeh romantic plans bohot banaye honge.” Dhara retorted. “Aur tu Shiva, date hai. Achhe se taiyar hoke aana.”

My classes started so I could only write a short scene. I’ll write the next part after my classes get over. Hopefully it will be a longer one. 

Raavi was sitting in room bored. Why had Dhara bhabhi taken this decision? She didn’t like this at all. How could she spend an entire day with Bhootnath. He would leave one chance to annoy her. Dev and Rishita had gone for their sightseeing. Even Dhara and Gaumbi had gone out to some lake. And here she was sitting alone! It was just then Shiva decided to gave her with his presence. 

“Kaha tha tu?” Raavi asked. 

“Maami ki lakdiyaan chahiye thi khana banane ki liye. ” He gave a smile, and came and laid down on the bed.

Raavi looked at him suspiciously. He couldn’t have just done this easily. Surely he must have done something to her Maasi. But her mind returned to her earlier problem. What would she do with this bhootnath for an entire day?  He looked least bothered about it. 

“Tu uth idhar se.” Raavi pushed him off the bed. “Jaa pehle nahake aa.”

“Ae maami ki behen ki beti. Tu phir se biwi biwi khel rahi hai mere saath. Mera mann main nahau ya nahi nahau.”

“Main Dhara di ko bol dungi.”

“Achha thik hai.” Shiva grabbed a towel and went to the bathroom. 

“Raavi.” Her Maasi called her from their door. Raavi went outside. 

“Aapke pair main kya hua?” Raavi asked as she noticed her limping. 

“Hoga kya? Uss Shiva ne jaan bujhkar saari lakdian mere pairo mein gira di. Satyanaash ho uss raakshash ka.”

Raavi had learnt long back not to speak between Shiva and her Maasi. Whenever she would defend Shiva, her Maasi would get mad. And if she defended Maasi, Shiva would lose his mind. So she decided early on not to interfere in their quarrels. 

“Aap yaha kya kar rahi ho?” Raavi asked. 

“Maine na tere liye badhiya se paneer makhani aur roti bante hai. Aake khale.” 

“Aur Shiva ke liye?”

“Uss raakshash ko bhookha rehne de. Hume kya?” 

Raavi rolled her eyes. Leave it to Maami to say stupid things like that. “Nahi maami aap log khaa lo. Main apna aur Shiva ka dekh lungi.” She went back to her room, leaving her Maasi. 

She had completely forgotten about lunch and it was 2’o clock already. Shiva must be really hungry now. Dhara and Rishita had made plans to eat out with their husbands, and she had to cook! It was really unfair. She came back and sat on the bed. It was Shiva’s fault. He could’ve taken her out too. 

“Khaane mein kya hai?” Shiva asked, as he got out of the shower. 

“Mera sarr. Khayega?” 

“Nahi. Chipkali kaafi zehreeli hoti hai” Shiva said. “Thik se bata khaane main kya hai?”

“Kuch nahi.” Raavi pouted. She didn’t feel like cooking just now. 

“Yeh bhabi ko couples day rakhne ki kya zaroorat thi.” Shiva complained. “Woh bhi uss Rishita ke liye.”

“Kabhi kabhi uss Rishita ke itna gussa aata hai ki lagta hai uska murder kar du.” Raavi confessed. 

“Mera bhi.” Shiva said. 

Suddenly both of realising that they had similar feelings for Rishita, started laughing. Shiva almost decided to tell her about Kesar bhoot but he stopped himself. 

“Mujhe khaana nahi banana Shiva.” Raavi whined. “Aaj bilkul mann nahi hai.”

“Toh chal kuch jugaad karte hai.”

Adorable! Can’t wait to read what happens next:) 

My class turned out to be super boring so I wore this instead. 

Raavi and Shiva searched the kitchen for some leftover food. But there was nothing there. Raavi pouted. Looks like she had to cook. Her stomach was growling by now. 

“Woh dekh. Paneer.” Shiva exclaimed.

“Woh toh un logo ke liye hai. Maasi ne banaya hai.” Raavi said. 

“Dekh bohot bhook lagi hai aur uss paneer ke alawa ghar mein kuch nahi hai.” Shiva said. Then he looked outside the window. Prafulla was making Roti. “Aur maami bahar roti bana rahi hai.”

“Woh tere liye nahi banayegi.”

“Woh toh mujhe bhi pata hai. Tu 6 roti le aa kisi tarah, main yaha se sabji le leta hu.”

Raavi realised what Shiva was asking her to do. “Tu mujhe chori karne ko keh raha hai! Besharm insaan!”

“Ae mami ki behen ki beti, tujhe khana banana hai?”

“Nahi.”

“Toh chup chap main jo kehta hu woh kar.” 

Shiva took out a plate and took two huge servings of the paneer. Then both of them moved towards the kitchen, where Mami and Anita were making rotis. They hid behind the wall, and waited for them to be done with it. After about 10 minutes, Maami and Anita were done. They went to call the others for lunch and that’s when Raavi quickly went and stole seven chapattis. She knew Shiva would want an extra after finishing his food. Shiva signalled her that someone was coming so she quickly went and hid behind the wall with him. 

Suman came in with Prafulla and Anita. “Sab thik se banaya hai ya nahi dekh leti hu. Tujhpe bilkul bharosa nahi hai mujhe.”

She saw the rotis and shouted. “Ae kaagri, itne kam rotiyaan kyu banaye?” 

“Kam kaha maine gin ke 16 banaye the.” 

“Toh baaki ke kya udd gaye?”

Prafulla searched for her rotis here and there. Shiva couldn’t help but laugh. Raavi nudged him with her elbow to be quiet. 

“Maine sachhi banaye the.”

“Tu nahi sudhregi. Chal ab bana aur roti.” Suman said and asked Anita to wheel her away. 

Prafulla sighed and got back to work.

Shiva couldn’t stop laughing as he reached their room. Raavi had really learnt to love his laugh. It was beautiful and he looked so... He looked amazing when he laughed. And nowadays she was getting to see this side of his more and more. She loved it! They divided the food and started eating. 

“Shiva, tujhe yaad hai hum log kaise Jamna kaki ke aangan se aam churake khaate the?”

“Hum nahi main. Tu kisi kaam ki nahi hai.”

“Ae Shiva! Bakwaas mat kar. Main guard pe rehti thi. Kitni baar toh tujhe maar khaane se bachaya tha maine.”

“Problem mein tu hi daalti thi. Chilla chilla kar ‘Shiva Shiva Shiva,’ bulane se aa jaati thi Jamna kaki aur unka woh mota palwaan pati.”

Raavi laughed. “Ek baar toh almost dhulaayi ho gayi thi teri. Yaad hai? Maine kaka ke sarr par aam maara aur hum kya bhaage uske baad.”

“Dhulayi toh phir bhi hui thi meri Dhara bhabi ke haathon. Pehelwaan kaka ne shikayat ki thi.” Shiva said.  

“Aur Dev kya roya tha yaad hai? Hum dono toh bhaag gaye the par woh phas gaya tha. Woh bechara itna roya ki daatne ke bajaye pehelwan kaka ne use 2 aam muft me de diye.” Raavi remembered. “Aur hum dono ko villain bana diya Dhara bhabi ke saamne.”

“Uss saal mujhe aam khane ko nahi mile the.” 

Raavi was loving this change between them. Instead of fighting, they were reminiscing about their past. Shiva was talking to her like a normal person. Did the Sun rise from the west today? She just didn’t want to jinx it. 

“Waise ek baat bata, tune Dev ko chorke mujhe kyu bachaya tha?” Shiva asked. 

Raavi had no answer. Not that she thought of it, the three of them were there together every year. But she had completely forgotten about him. This was the only activity she didn’t do for Dev. She did it because she loved mangoes, and she liked to watch Shiva climb trees. Once or twice, she asked him to teach her but he refused. 

“Woh pehelwan kaka toh tujhe maarne wala tha. Dev ko nahi. Aur mujhe uss waqt tu hi dikh raha tha.” 

Shiva was surprised. He always thought that this mami ki behen ki beti had eyes for Dev only. But it was lucky that she saved him. Otherwise pehelwan kaka would have definitely hit him. He always seemed to have a grudge against Shiva.

“Waise Dhara bhabi ne thik kiya yeh couples day rakhke. Woh yeh deserve karti hai. Bachpan se toh unhone humara khyaal rakha hai. Ab thoda khud ke liye waqt nikalna toh banta hai.” Shiva said. 

Raavi agreed wholeheartedly. She liked this side of Shiva when he shared his opinions and feelings with her. It made her feel important. 

“Yeh maami namak daalne mein bhi kanjoosi karti hai.”

“Isliye toh main Pandya house aa jati thi baar baar.” Raavi confessed. 

“Pata tha mujhe.” Shiva shouted.  “Maine kaha tha Dhara bhabi ko ki yeh mami ki behen ki bari yaha sirf thoosne ke liye aati hai. Ise ghusna mat dena. Par tu toh maati nahi thi.”

“Haa toh? Dhara di ne mujhse kaha tha ki main jab chahe aa sakti hu.” Raavi replied. 

“Isliye tu bilkul chipkali ki tarah chipak gayi humse.”

 “Mujhe koi shauk nahi hai tere jaise pishach se chipakne ka.”

And just like their, their moment was over, and their tu tu main main started again.
