I hope all singers perform their best with out confining to a specific genre.

I am tired of folks complaining about versatility etc.

Best singers are not versatile.

Personally I like high energy performances and those who rock the stage, are independent, confident, and bring variation to old songs. But others may like songs performed as original.

Every year we have folks who are compared to Shreya Ghoshal(I can literally count atleast a dozen in the last decade) and none of them resurface after a month. Lack of originality and confidence just pulls them down to stage shows.

I think we need singers who can break the mold of hindi movie songs and generate music albums on alterative platforms like youtube. I am sure Shreya will sing till her voice is shivering (Lata's few songs make me cry) leaving no room for these young folks who are trying to be her copycats.

Is Rekha special whole weekend (2 days). Reason is the way Jay Bhanushali commented in article. If it is then I think one episode solo and one episode duets!!
