Is this the state of Shaurya’s mind?

I found this and I think this relates to Shaurya’s words. Not justifying it but it helps shed light on why he said what he said. We had multiple posts regarding his psychological state of mind. Additionally, I think he is also experiencing some PTSD. I hope they highlight this in detail and it’s not brushed under the carpet.

I agree. He has shown visible symptoms with his actions. Also the posts about his situation were valid though I don't feel that kind of blunder correction would be shown to the T yk? Let alone highlight. We mayhaps witness Anokhi making him understand his mistakes (Usual route) but no huge development for that mentality of Shaurya's. Given that this is ITV 😳

Shaurya has inner child issues and anoki used to trigger him by speaking about astha. Now recently the way he behaved with anoki that is part of his conditioning. For that matter anoki s sister husband would beat her sister if he saw her with someone else.

Regarding triggers almost everyone has triggers. For example Devi who gets triggered when she senses shaurya going away from her. Anoki gets triggered when she sees shaurya disrespecting astha because she has always seen her father treating her mother badly so there she gets triggered. So she doesn't understand that it's a matter between mother and son. The mother had left son years ago so he is bound to be angry and disrespectful.

Shaurya’s words and aggression towards Anokhi this week was rooted in a deep internalized misogyny and sense of male entitlement. Sense of ownership over Anokhi as if she was his property. Maybe inner child issues played a role but it seems mainly cultural and societal especially the reference to class differences and small town versus big town. His other family members and probably more in their socioecomic status have similar views as him.

Everyone has trigger conditions as the last post mentioned. Some that led people to resort to heinous deeds such as extreme verbal abuse, physical and emotional harassment and sadly violence. As we have seen with other characters in this show and their actions. At some point, what can be excused and what cannot? This is a tv show so they’re most likely not going into the mental aspect or else nearly everycharacter in ITV would be seeking professional help

I really hope it is not limited to Anokhi pointing out his mistakes and no development on his beliefs. I really want this show to be diff and highlight what real and major consequences words and this soch can have.

Shauryas words were more extreme than Shankho or any other male lead we have seen on TV. Thye have limited thier dialogues to"i know what type of girl you are, choti sheher, blah blah"

I have not heard a male lead ever use the same words like "score, wild card, sab kuch karkarake.."

So i hope that in effort to point out the realness of it all, they also show a track where consequences of his words is displayed and genuine realization/apology. Along w the mistake not being repeated again.

Yeah I think fear triggered by his abandonment issues following the events following his mom leaving him ensued these words that come from his choti soch.

You make a great point there - the saberwals carry choti soch, however, they also seem to show a sense of responsibility and care towards others as highlighted from AA track, Devi asking if Anokhi is okay, a sense of respect for others as long as they have nothing to do with them and they feel are the entitled ones.

You hit the nail in the head there. Yeah as its a TV show, they mostly wont highlight mental aspect but I do want to see them highlighting whatever happened on Tuesday to a great extent. Not just a simple sorry and let's move forward.

Shaurya doesn't suffer from PTSD. In fact it's Anokhi who suffers from PTSD due her experience with domestic abuse. Yes Shaurya has Childhood Emotional Negligence issue which explains his angry outburts and his Emotional handicap to deal with certain emotions along with his home environment of misogyny and entitlement.
