I dont want anyone in Bollywood to make Mahabharat. They have no respect for their craft. They only will try to churn money. They’ll not even bother to respect the epic and do justice to it. But will definitely use their PRs to start controversies to “sell” the “product” and make “profit.”
Film making is no longer an art in Bollywood. It’s all about bottom line only.
Someone who has respect for their art should attempt this, else leave it alone.

@ bold...Becoz they themselves identify as muslims only. You should check that shahrukh khan thread how all hell broke loose when someone mentioned his hindu ancestry. When they claim only their muslim side ancestry and refuse to even acknowlege that there is also hindu dna running in their blood, how do you expect people to not look them as muslim only? Why is secularism all about glorifying only one set of people and running down the others? Waise We are toh willjng to accept them as one of us but they want to be seen different and special highlighting only about being from warrior race who ruled over dirty indians. People like amir khan are still making movies depicting hindus as backwards. PK is a fine example of that. Its only fair that people question his motives when he tries to play his dirty trick again with sacred hindu Epics.
If they are actually secular and indians by heart, let them acknowlege their actual indian ancestry which is inherently hindu..that will justify theirs and yours secular claims and then they can as many mahabharats as they want. He has no creativity, so there is no question of respecting his creative liberty.
A an artist is honest to his work as well as his inspiration. Rahi Masoom Raza gave us the wonderful screenplay of Mahabharat, which inspite of being plagued with distortions is still a creative work worthy of respect. He was a muslim too.
Aamir Khan is a gas bag looking at purposely creating controversy for free publicity.
He is looking at an opportunity to make money and ridicule another religion with malicious intent while doing so and when questioned use wokeness and secularism as an excuse to justify himself.
He is not getting funding for MB because he is no rajamouli, but he snarks about intolerance in the country preventing him from making the movie.
He can go to turkey with his wife and make movies on his religion there. And never return.
