Repetitive acting as cute & bubbly ! She did not experiement other roles which showed a different side of acting.

Preity was popular & probably no.1 from 2002-2004 period Its just that she faded away all of a sudden

Juhi's problem was not her acting capacity. She actually was and is a damned good actor. She was lazy and also chose the most idiotic and regressive of scripts. 🤢

She gave so many great films right from her early phase. Kya Kehna, Soldier, Koi Mil Gaya, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Veer Zaara.

It's just because she hasn't had that "successful comeback" storyline yet.. as her contemporaries Rani and Ash have had success after getting married and taking short breaks.

But during 2000-2006 she was a megastar and she ruled in 2003/4.

Question was why is she not considered iconic? Not why was she not successful... she clearly was.

PZ didn't have a single breakout role unlike her contemporaries. She played the same manic pixie dream girl in every movie bar KHNH and KANK, both of which were rather silly.

Not really, she debuted in 2000 and wasn't really well known until 2000 and eventually broke out in 2001 with Chori Chori and Dil Chahta hai... and literally disappeared in 2006.

It has more to do with how she disappeared ALL OF A SUDDEN..

This doesn't answer the original poster's question but I feel like her downfall was so weird. She fell off pretty hard. She was literally a top actress till 2007. It's not even like she had a series of flops or anything. Jhoom Barabar Jhoom didn't do well and then BAM, all of a sudden all we saw her in was a random series of cameo roles. Then again her sudden disappearance from movies also coincided with the debut of the new breed like Deepika, Sonam, Anushka so maybe that could be a factor too. Along with that I feel like IPL became a priority for her. Also, her face started looking weird in 2008. She really overdid it with the botox.
