I don't think it is appropriate for kids but we all have our own thresholds. It's not exactly a harmful video even if they do watch it and they're not gonna know that it's inappropriate for their age either.

Obviously kids won't know its appropriate for them or not. Kids imitate. These dance steps are suggestive and at times vulgar. Haven't we all seen little girls dancing so inappropriately in dance reality shows. It starts at home.

We aren't living in an ideal world. Enough pedos and weirdos out there. These days, you have to teach kids good and bad touch at the age of 3.

And seeing my daughter's & friends' kids reaction to romantic songs and questions around them, I wouldn't make her see them yet. May be when she is little older and is able to wrap her head around these things. Not now for sure.

When I taught in a school for a few months, 8-12 year olds used to dance "Sheela ki jawani", "Chikni chameli" etc and the lyrics of those item songs are so gross.

But we all turned out okay, so as much as this song is so weirdly shot, it's not a bad influence on children. If you think the graphics is too much, then maybe just play it on Spotify or without video.

I used to sing raat ke nasha whenever someone asked to me to sing 🤣

You have a point.

I think it has nothing to do with these times, the only thing that has changed is people have become more aware. Parents never gave their kids any sex education, especially in India. My mom, aunts etc never talked to me/ cousins about these things, I just learnt by myself through random magazines, friends and experience.

Some decades ago, it was normal for 11 year old girls to get married and have kids at 14. Times have changed, but not all for worse.
