Vansh death plot was necessary to keep Riddhima into the game??

If Vansh had not planed his death then the game would have been head to head between him and Kabir while Riddhima wouldn't have any part of the play also it was required for her to have a clear picture of Vansh who he actually was also all her misconception about both Vansh and Kabir got cleared.

Imagine if this has not happened ......

Riddhima would have never came to know real face of Kabir. Though Vansh or anyone else must have told her about Kabir not being a nice person she would have never believed as Vansh can never believe Ap to be wrong person . So to make her believe and know the true faces of the person she trusts let the person expose himself of his own.

Now what could be Vansh's Plan?

Vansh is someone who always goes on his plans unless Riddhima flops it.... so all this fake death scene was already planned long before .... starting from the time he said Riddhima about him meeting Ragini and also said the specific time of 4pm as he expected her to be there so that she gets caught along with the person behind her or using her but his plan failed as his car broke down in mid way and he couldn't reach them..... so he thought to scare her again and pushed her in grave but the girl didn't confessed.... so then he played her an emmotional game told her about his mother's murder and though she believed him sympathise with his broken state yet didn't confessed the truth...

Knowing her truth was never a problem for him for he knew she was a spy and that too send by Kabir but his real problem was her trust on Kabir which he had to remove somehow to safeguard his relation and his gaining her complete trust which he got and not only him even the girl trusts look alike too...

So about the fake death .... he would have definately not planned it sitting in the police van or while falling from the cliff fortunately he didn't died ....he must have planed long before even before Kabir came to arrest him that means he already knew what was going to happen and planned accordingly while Riddhima showing up there was also a part of his plan to defame Kabir in her eyes and that was his masterstroke so all the soft corner she had for that ex boyfriend of her was flushed into the gutter and the moment pawn became the queen.

At preset.....

he returned as Vihaan only because he wants his queen to be in the game while he will be always back of her to safe her. Kabir was never his enemy so he didn't have any personal gurdge with him but his queen has she had to give him a lesson for all the mental and emotional termoil she went because of him also for the people he killed...... while Vansh enemy is none other than his Ap mom so he is there to handle her as he said while looking at her photograph not calling her mom even said "bada beta Vansh mar gaya" so he as a son is no more for her so he will paly his game on her.

Vansh's words to Riddhima--- "tum chaho ya na chaho , accha lage ya na lage , saye ki tarah humesa tumhare piche khada milunga..." "agar mai tumhare sath hu to dunia ki koi takat tumhe chhuu to kya tumhare aas pass v nhi bathkegi"

And more explainable than what makers have shown us. If they follow somewhat same track then it will answer many loopholes.

But u never know with this show makers. Always expect the unexpected.

Excellent analysis....it is really fun to read all these possible theories...even the contract paper had something about children....which I didn't get though....but it seems like vanshz plan
