Thank you for the list. Will make sure not a single money from my wallet goes to these people who rather fund & defend druggies and their drug habits which in turn will fund the arms for Anti-National activities.

The suit asks the news channel to ABIDE by the provisions of the Programme Code and to withdraw, RECALL and take down all the DEFAMATORY content published by them against Bollywood.

If calling BW 'filth' and 'druggie' goes against their own Programme code(which I don't have much knowledge about tbh), I'm pretty sure calling people fascist and Nazis(which the likes of Faye, NDTV journalists mostly indulge into) must also be against this Programme code. In fact anyone can/will pick any words from a news program and say it hurt their feeling thus was defamatory and ask to pull down the segment.

FOE anyone?

If someone calling BW terms like 'filth', 'druggie' etc makes it a punishable offence then the words used against news channels, politicians, states, policemen or anyone in general in movies will also be fair game. Thus, they'll be losing more control to who so ever has the power.

And BW trying to convince the masses that they are 'holier than thou' and don't consume drugs, yeah good luck with that😆. At the end of the day it's a cesspool of mediocrity rotten to the core. By taking this route they are just tightening the noose around their own necks.

Ho gyi FOE ki ladayi aise toh.

You're missing a crucial fact here- I've read the petition- it is NOT a case of freedom of expression but a case of reporting false facts and unverified information- as ably evidenced in the case of Rhea's neighbour who was given khuli chhoot on Republic to lie and then admitted she was lying in front of the cbi

Our issues maybe several with Bollywood but NO WAY do the news media deserve to get off lightly. The damage they have done- pushing unverified news- is far greater. My father who hasnt seen a bollywood film since Dhoom 2 DOES watch the news because he is a concerned and well informed citizen- what sort of news was being given to him during this time? And why?

Anurag Kashyap is not who I turn to for my daily news. He is just an opinion giver. It is not even about personal bias creeping in- it is just about pushing BS by primetime news anchors!! BS that was unverified and ultimately disproven

Regulation se inko hi problem hogi...funding of some movies are shady..black money (Panama papers style)... money earned from shows abroad..everything will come under the lens...pandora box will be opened...

Some things are not a one way street...Cesar's wife must be above suspicion ..agar nahi hai toh problem hai

Media and Bollywood are like two gangsters...they better not confront each other directly

Good luck to Bollywood to try and convince people that there isn't drug consumption in there. Bollywood is a cesspool of derogatory behavior and their very hypocritically preachy holier than thou attitude. I can understand Rhea suing the hell out of these channels as she was attacked by them on a very personal level, but these Bollywood folks collectively preaching about morality, ethics, responsible behavior is a bit rich.

I truly believe the likes of Arnab and Bollywood are just made for each other. Two sides of the same bloody coin. The only difference is that Arnab doesn't pretend to be holier than thou. He is what he is khullam khulla.

Anyway, looking forward to the hypocritical speeches and double standards that will come our way through this battle.

Lol...this isn’t bollywood trying to “convince” them they are clean and pure

This is them saying :

stop name dropping and holding media trials for criminal cases ...without any evidence or proof...half the so called accused haven’t had anything come out of their investigations and were slandered mercilessly for no reason ...some were just starting their careers

Stop calling their industry scum and filth..or pudiya gang or whatever nonsense term comes to ur mouth...

There are ppl there who are honest, and work hard and earn a living .....it is not on ur part to put such labels on them ...and they don’t deserve to be impacted by this crappy sensationalism

To put it in different terms- will I judge Rakhi Sawant and lets say Faye DSouza's behaviour in the same breath? One is an entertainer or even a jester by profession. She might be attention seeking and thirsty for pap shots but that is NOT the same as Faye targeting her every night because Faye is scared of covering politics and she needs content.

Really really not the same thing.

@bold - Then please, let’s stop treating it like it is.

False allegations pedelled by media channels with that kind of reach is wrong? Agreed! But when two individuals are forced to show the world that they are in a romantic relationship, sacrificing their integrity because #showbiz just to ensure a movie is successful, and calling the media to show up when these individuals are out and about together is fine? They’re both false narratives so again, forgive me for not feeling sorry for these stars.

Frankly, it’ll be interesting to see them all wage a potentially expensive legal case with diminishing funding in the midst of a pandemic vs media channels that have clearly benefitted massively these last few months.😛

Nope. BW has more power than you think. They were the ones that kicked out Arnab from Times Now. He gave a whiny interview himself saying Karan Johar was behind it.

Times Now will probably just make a back door deal and kick out Navika and end the feud. Vineet Jain himself is involved in film production. Everyone is connected to everyone. They can sacrifice someone like Navika and it serves as a warning not to do it again which will give everyone some peace for a few years before they start the same crap again.
