Apurva is 100% correct. People watch a movie that has a good screenplay, direction, acting from old established names. With them a star kid is thrust in and the entire PR machinery hypes that star kid. People liked the movie.....they hear PR shouting.....they associate movie with star kid.....they are fooled into thinking movie is good because of said star kid.

Shekhar Kapoor , I so agree with him in this one. WHen Kai PO Che was to come, I was simply very excited to go and watch Sushant on the big screen and in those he was pretty vocal on FB, on whatever he was doing. SO had followed him entirely from May 2012(when shooting started) to it when it got released. So my excitement to see him pushed me to force all my friends in college to go and watch the movie. We bunked that day in order to watch the first show, was good for our pockets. 😊 I was totally blown away by all the three actors and Amrita Puri with whatever she had been give to do. RKR did brilliantly with what was provided to him , AMit and Sushant had better characterization that RKR (personal opinion). However all three were absolute delight to watch. A refreshment in terms of friendships we have seen in previous movies, including three idiots. Last scene where Ishan's trained boy goes on to play and the way Amit cries , being consoled by Ishant's sister is portrayed phenomenally, followed by a smiling face of Ishaant saying a goodbye to the audience. I have not seen debutantes performing so brilliantly in the movie since a long time. It was far better than the Ananya Pandeys, Alias(considering highway ,there was nothing to do in SOTY), Kareenas ,Abhisheks , Ranbirs , Imrans, Saras and others. All these star kids have been celebrated and  awarded in all the award shows. Anyone who came close to such great performance would be Vicky in Masaan and Siddanth in Gully Boy. 

I am reminded of Kangana's interview (before someone jumps a gun on me, I like her for the good and dislike her for the bad) where she mentioned how these kids are prepared forever on how to talk, look, stand and then tou are looked down upon probably because you have a different accent than them.
