I don’t want to sound evil but I’m glad these days Kajol doesn’t really register with a lot of people. She was very very over rated and over hyped. It was ridiculous and she has a unibrow 🤣

Manisha definitely better than Karishma.

Urmila is best of the four.

I think Manisha and Urmila are very good actress than a kajol, karishma

But because Kajol and Karishma came from film family they got more publicity and oppotunity and press than these two

Also do not forget Juhi chawla her comedy was brillaint can rival sridevi in comedy and Tabu too was fabulous

But both Juhi and Tabu never really became super stars in 90s just like manisha and urmila they were ignored

Their PR was bad and neither they have family background from bollywood so all ignored

Tabu of course started parallel cinema again in 90s with machis, chandini baar etc

You forget Raveena Tandon she was better than Karishma and Kajol both in looks, personality and acting. But her open fight with Ajay Devgan where she confessed they loved each other but Ajay denied to save his image. Than her affair with Akshay where he cheated on her with many actress and made her stop signing movies to marry him that destroyed her career.

I won't compare them.

Manisha is good in the tragic innocent roles, Karishma in comedy and dance, Kajol in theatrics, Urmila as glam doll.

Urmila > Manisha > Kajol > Karishma

My order is different on the people I like Urmila -Karishma-Kajol then manisha

Yeah. I always liked Urmila as an actor specially in Bhoot & kaun. I wonder why manisha wasn't taken seriously as an actor. I liked her in Bombay & khamoshi.

Kajol is good actor but goes ott at times with her screechy voice.

Karishma was better. Zubeida was her best. In 90's it was only Karishma & urmila wearing western outfits and short dresses.

If lolo had married someone in the industry even she could have managed to stay relevant somehow.

Manisha and Urmila are actor-actors.

Kajol and Karishma are star-actors.

That said, Karishma in Fiza/Zubeida was equally strong and better than anything Kajol has ever done.

Since when Kajol is considered a one-note actress?

It would be criminal to call her performances in DDLJ, Dushman, PTHT, PKTDK, K3G, Fanna and many others as 'one-note'.

Having said that, I doubt Kajol could ever pull a performance like Rani in Mardani.

i agree that Manisha and Urmila are heavily underrated since they both Manish and Urmila gave some power-packed performances in their careers, but that doesn't mean we have to undermine Kajol's performances.

Karisma may not be as talented as others in but the effect she had on 90s generation cannot be described in words.
