This is a great deed and that’s why outside of the filminess he is more generous and genuine compared to others... 25 crores is not a small amount... Proud of him...

why did he donate today only when modi opened a new fund ? did he know about it before and was waiting for it ? why modi is not thanking south indian actors who donated in regular PM relief fund than this PR inspired fund of Modi ?

How does it matter? Desh ko paisa chahiye, doesn’t matter in whose name you give....If somebody hates Modi , create a ‘hate Modi relief fund’ or whatever floats ones boat....Important thing is that everybody contributes as much as ones pocket allows towards the cause....

It still shouldn’t matter...Let him say whatever, what matters is that he gave real money and the guy who is getting that money is not going to care whether he praised or cursed Modi....

what's with shaming other actors for not donating what Akshay donated? no one knows what their financial situation is..

it says "pledge" hopefully the amount gets transferred soon and gets used in the right cause without much overheads

Akki has been donating since ages, so I don't get this since BJP is there hence Akki is donating thing. It has mostly to do with Reshma being his new manager who always highlights Akki's philanthropy nowadays.

Why is every star announcing their amounts?  No way the average middle class person can donate anywhere near this amount.  Just talk about donations to encourage the general public to donate and leave the amount to your accountants.  

If Akki was really about the tax cut, for years guy has been donating, and still has been the among highest tax paying individuals from celeb field in the country since years. And not just in BJP governments, even with the previous government.
