Hema said nursing home

This was said in kapil show and she clearly said it was nursing home of the doctor attending to her.

Let me explain in a way even a 10 yo could understand.

Poor/middle class folks in India do not simply go only to government hospitals. A lot of hospitals in the cities are private. Hema would've been in the VIP wing. Having visited someone in the VIP wing of a hospital, I can tell upper middle class people do fork out cash to go there. By booking the entire hospital floor, those are the people she displaced.

Now, it's easy enough to say so what? She had the money to pay, and they could simply go someplace else.

It's precisely the kind of arrogance and entitlement, posters on this thread pointed out. She did it because the hospital/society let her get away with it.

Ah...that personal anecdote that shatters ground realities....Why am I not surprised?

Again.. plenty of VIP places that are not overflowing with people in the corridors....yes like a restaurant that's been booked for a party, one may need to go to a different place...that's plain economics which hopefully boomers can still understand. Hospitals would be happy to accommodate because 5 star hospitals are hardly in the business to save lives...they are in the business for business!!! And all the socialists' tears won't make them change...it's funny actually why people expect medical services to be some sort of altruistic service across the board...Reality check again---they are not!

Isn't that precisely the point people are making? That healthcare is not altruistic, and the hospital allowed them to get away with it because they were rich and famous? That it's not romance, only arrogance and entitlement, pure and simple?
