My exams have been postponed and I have a month in hand. I was bored too much. So thought to write this drabble. Hope you like it.
Ah yes, shoes are accepted, but of no 7 please. And brickbats are welcome too!
Drabble 4:- A Random Day!
' Stay out of my Life! I don't ever want to see your face! ' he said to her.
Indifference. The word which she hates the most. Its like the thorn of the rose. Always pricking. But she won't mind getting pricked uncountable times. Because she has aimed for the rose. For Him. Her love. Her strength.
' Mr.Bajaj. Please hear me. Please. I beg you. Please. Don't seperate me from Kukki please.
' I am not. Kukki will be not seperated from you, nor Sneha from me. But I am separating you from my life. For ever.'
Like pearls, tears rolled down Prerna's cheeks.
' This won't work for me. Don't shed tears for me, Prerna.'
Prerna sighed. Why are you so cold hearted, Rishabh? Why? Please forgive me. Please. I am dying. I am dying for your love. For your care. For your concern. I am dying to hear your voice calling me 'Mrs.Bajaj.'
But for now, it's me who will not forgive him. For what he did. Never.
There was a knock on the door.
' Yes?'
' Ma'am, Sir has returned with Kukki and Sneha baby and they are having dinner. They are calling you.'
' Did your sir call me?'
' No, Ma'am. Sneha called.'
' Go and tell them that I am not in the mood to eat.'
' But ma'am, you didn't had breakfast properly and skipped lunch...'
'Do as I tell you. Go!'
Not for a second Prerna opened the door.
' She has gone in her old self na? Oh gosh!' Rishabh asked, feeding a bite to Sneha.
Chandu nodded and went away.
' Your Mom. Sigh. Tantrums and Prerna are inseperable.' Rishabh began blabbering.
Kukki chuckled, only to get a glare from her dad.
' What's there to laugh?'
' No, nothing, dad.' replied Kukki and focused on eating.
'Dad, I know you love and live for Prerna. But can't express it. I want you two to unite once and for all. But not so soon. I want Prerna to feel every pain you had to go through, for her love. You two are made for each other.'
' Didi. Didi...Where are you lost?' Sneha asked.
' Nothing, Sweetie.'
Kukki noticed her dad was not there.
As if she read her elder sister's thoughts, Sneha said,' Papa went to call Mumma, for dinner.'
Kukki mentally facepalmed. Now an hour long so called quote unquote quarrel will happen in Bajaj Mansion.
Kukki-' Let's go to bed Sneha. I will read you bedtime stories.'
Sneha smiled and went in her room with her elder sister.
' Get the hell out of here! '
The rooms of the magnificent Bajaj Mansion echoed with her voice.
' No screaming, Prerna. It won't help.'
' Are you challenging my capabilities?'
' Kind off!' Rishabh replied and shrugged his shoulders in a ' Idon't care ' kind of way.
Prerna felt hot, boiling blood in her veins. She felt like throttling his neck.
' For heaven's sake I am your Wife, Mr.Bajaj.'
' I have forgotten this a long time ago.'
' But I haven't!' She grabbed his shirt's collar and burst out,' Why are always cold towards me, why? What have I done? Mr.Bajaj... I... I...'
She couldn't complete the sentence. She broke down on the floor. Devastated. Shattered. Lost.
' Kukki and Sneha are my children too. You didn't feel the urge to inform me that you are taking them out for nearly a week? Okay, I accept you don't consider me as your wife. But you accepted me as the mother of our daughters, na? Why are you playing with my heart, Mr.Bajaj? Why? '
'It was you who played with my heart first, Prerna.' Rishabh thought.
' I informed you.' He replied.
' Did I give permission?'
' I am their Dad. I have as much right on them as you have.'
' Let the permission to to hell!'
' Come and have your food.'
' No, I won't.'
I can't do anything to lessen your pain, Prerna. I don't want to, infact.
'Come and have dinner.'
'I won't.'
' Don't be so stupid, Miss. Sharma.'
' Khabardar! Don't call me Sharma.'
' Then what?' Rishabh asked with a raised eyebrow.
' As you wish...' said Prerna, feebly.
She longed for him to call her as a Bajaj. But Alas!
' I am not in a mood to eat! '
Without saying anything, Rishabh went out.
Prerna heaved a sigh of relief.
Andin the next few moment, her husband entered, with a plate of food for her.
'I am not in a mood to eat.' Prerna huffed.
' You haven't eaten a morsel today. I know.'
' Meri marzi. I won't eat.'
' Eat...'
' No. I don't like carrots and lettuce. I hate salads!'
Rishabh kept the plate on the table and rubbed his forehead with his fingers to calm himself.
Such a kid she is! Oh God!
' This is you favourite... Fried rice and chicken.'
Prerna thought, 'Let me keep my anger at bat and eat first. God, I am so hungry! But he is here and I don't want to eat in from of him...'
She looked at the plate helplessly.
Suppressing his laughter, Rishabh said,'Good night.'
He went out of the room.
As soon as he was out of her sight, Prerna literally jumped on the plate.
'Really, hunger is the best sauce!'
After filling up her heart and stomach she let out a sigh of contentment.
But tears again pooled her eyes.
' Mr.Bajaj...please forgive me... Please...'
All this time, Rishabh had secretly kept a watch on her. His lips curved into a smile at her craziness. He sighed at her.
' Prerna... I can do nothing now. Karma is doing its job.'

Is there going to be a continuation for this story to show what karma does in this case? Indifference phase is good.... But she has to learn her lesson and for that he has to say what's in his mind to her face.... He shouldn't bottle up his thoughts... Nice story....

The famous Indifference track. I love how Bajaj is sure about his decision. He didn't let her go away from the kids, but he still was away from her. She is a tantrum queen, but he knows how to make sure she eats something. Kukki and Sneha's bond is beautiful❤️.
