I am thinking differently here. I think after Rohit takes pari to Rastogi house, sona came to say thank you to Rohit. But he shuts her off angrily and hurt her by his words to create hatred for him in Sona heart.

Lol tell me about it. Terrible!! Face bhi dikh jaye, what they're doing i cant see. Woh bhi subah subah drowsy and blurry eyes ke saath dekh ke ho gaya!

Why i feel the difference, they are shooting night scenes in the day so they have to get in the artificial darkness hence the shittiness. Whereas, the Rohit's accident scene, it was genuinely shot at night so no artificial darkness. Hence proved. But first time this 'hence proved' is without satisfaction.
