let parvathy shine coz she single handedly and very articulately (dp take notes) and calmly (alia take notes) and without constantly interrupting others (ranveer take notes) spoke the most sense and oh so well

DP is not the most articulate but saying she bought nothing to the conversation is just pure hate. She also didn’t indulge in PDA, her husband was doing his nonsense trying to stop her from saying how women takes more risk in general then men.

How her point was nothing worthy? The other actor saying film doesn’t impact the audience and her trying to show that whether we like it or not films and crickets are the most influential in india. Is it even wrong?

Also one random article on an irrelevant website is not her team trying to make her the hero. Beside IF no one ever reach these websites. Wait till it reaches bigger website then you can blame her team.

Don't even get me started about his interrupting ways. It was like it was his chat show and not Anupama's.

He was also mansplaining along with Vijay when it came to the women's narrative. 'Vijay I agree' and 'We will talk about it at home'. He was horrible in this.  Why does he need to talk about it at home about women taking more risks. Deepika said to that 'why don't you talk about it here'.

The risk taking thing was about what Shoojit said about women taking more risks and the way he deflected that on Ayushman when the guy himself knew enough not to get involved.

That shoulder kissing thing was..cringe. This is a professional interview for heaven's sake.

Honestly most the hate she is receiving right now because of this roundtable is due to people putting them both in the same basket. She had good things to say but it has to be overshadowed but his antics. Speechless.

🤣 .... What a shitload of PR work, I am feeling second hand embarrassment for Deepika. This article makes it seem like "Winner took the winning cup but loser needs some consolation prize too much bhi dedo" 😆

I wouldn’t take your words seriously but this is gross misrepresentation of what happened. Did you even watch it?

1. She never indulged in any PDA. Ranveer did. And that was once (still inappropriate and unprofessional)

2. She put forth her points quite clearly while still supporting Parvathy. She also pointed about how women have been taking risks without getting the due even before Ayushman making waves for it now.

3. The men were at her throat and she misspoke a word. 😑

I could go on....

While Ranveer how reacted is his problem, Deepika saying womem take more risk than men in acting roles in general or particular wasn't exactly correct.

It's not like men haven't played the role of LGBT, Neeraj Pandey, Paresh Rawal, Ashutosh Rana, Arif Zakaria, Sanjay Suri and so on have all played LGBT characters in serious manner(not counting the LGBT being used as humor prop). And if you say these actors aren't big stars, than none of the big female stars have played roles of LGBT, the only one that has played is Sonam.

Fire was not exactly an Alist ridden, nor was Margarita with a straw.

If actresses have played roles of mom, than so have actors. And most of the actress play the role of mom, after they cease to be lead heroine.

So this female actors taking more risk than male actors in general or particular statement wasn't exactly true.

Her main point was not getting credit for it like how men get. It wasn’t men not doing it before. It wasn’t the first time an artist (male or female) was taking risk like how Ayushman was being represented.

Plus the men bh her side were stifling her ... ughh 😡

I appreciate that you responding with points instead of just blatantly dismissing her because “she is on cocaine, her words make no sense”

Amen! 😆 I love how the men tried to generalize the whole conversation completely disregarding Shoojit's original point lmfao! Look how someone at the table is taking risks! Now let's just stop thinking about the broader spectrum altogether. Deepika also put forward this extremely important point : how women didn't have a choice but to take risks since they had a shelf life and they had to break their artistry into these risk taking roles just to sustain. Its still so true!

Yet she’s been at the receiving end of criticism for something as simple and as easy to understand as this.
