You need to understand difference between Vegan and Vegetarian. 

Vegan — No meat, no chicken, no egg, no milk and milk products. 

Vegetarian — No meat, No chicken. Milk products are fine. Some eat eggs some don’t.

Vegetarians who also eats eggs and egg products, have started calling themselves eggetarian these days. 

I hope that was clear.

It’s not us who has derived this term - Veg Biryani. 

Go and start a protest on wider level. May be when popular chefs and restaurants and food critics will put on ban on calling it Veg Biryani, we will too. 😃
