What do you think about the smoking ads shown in theatres?

Do you think it's ridiculous just like the National anthem? Why does our sanskari censor board allows such disturbing visuals to be shown to kids? No one is stopping smoking by seeing such ads. Also why is Akshay still selling sanitary pads? Padman was released long time back and was a success. So there is no need of still promoting like he actually cares.

Yes, it is of no use. People like me smoke and drink despite warning, hum jaise chutiyo ko sudharne ke liye faltu ka kharcha kiyu karna. Just ban the products.

I think Padman helped Akki a lot, image wise. Much more than Toilet, he and advertisement wale will milch it till the last drop.

ya I always look away when the disturbing visuals come on.. IDK I've become indifferent to the statutory warnings..If you ask me, such excessive warning upto this degree feels unnecessary.

It's understandable that the state is merely fulfilling it's duty of warning people of potential risks, creating awareness etc. Some time, some day or the other, someone somewhere who watches such horrible images may feel motivated(?) to drop their habit.. or strengthen their own fight against smoking.. so who can say

What do chain-smokers or people struggling with smoking, tobacco feel about such statutory warnings and visual ads?

yeah it's so disturbing to watch at a movie theatre ,not to mention I have doubts it ever caused anyone to quit smoking. Most people who smoke know it causes cancer tbh

I'm kind of inclined in favour of these ads. Even if it motivates only a few to stop smoking, I'm for these ads.

I don't mind this ads. They have become a part of all movies . I repeat with them. If by chance if even 1 person get motivated to leave this habit then it's worth of.

national anthem is not ridiculous

also these ads are supposed to be gruesome so that atleast a small percentage quit smoking and also to warn people not to take up smoking.
