I don't think that's the motive, just keeping the movie hype alive for funding. Otherwise they wouldn't have named Shraddha either, if the intention was to just defame Deepika.

Just like Ramayana ka articles pe articles chap rahe hai to get on the hype.

Ulta movie ko attention milega. And let's be honest, legally nobody can stop Deepika from doing that movie.

But as per our sources, Deepika and the makers are shocked to read such reports as they are untrue. Because the actress and the director both know that they are doing the film together. In fact, they have had several meetings for the film to discuss the project in detail. 

"The source further added that there is no truth in the news of another actress stepping in for the film and Deepika is very much a part of the project"

to ye source Deepu's PR  who is trying so hard to bring negativity in her life. btw why deepu and makers so socced in private, why not public?
