Kyu bhai salman and srk refunded the distributors/exhibitors even though when they faced the huge loses and why not amir ? It’s not like releasing a crying /wiping with towel article ..and doing satyameva jayathe episodes and cries crocodile tears...ur movie TOH ruined many exhibitors then why not feel responsible and act accordingly ?

SRK and Sallu were producers, Aamir wasn't.

But why shud exhibitors be refunded for losses? Do they part with their profits to distributors or producers when films become blockbusters?
They pay a certain amount to sub/distributors to play any movie on their theater. That thing is called a premium. The bigger the movie is the producers ask bigger premium. So when an exhibitor can't recover the money he paid as premium upar se bilji ka bill and other bills, they lose money. That's the time they ask for refund.
It’s not an excuse ..otherwise he butt in other departments of movie making but when it comes to refunding it’s not his movie ?😆
Oh ho bholu Aamir Khan. Since when did actors start taking profit share from distributors? They take money from producers share, and the producers always make profit. And Aamir Khan got his share of distributors ke khoon choosey hue paise.
Oh ho bholu Tingu. Since when did actors start taking profit share from distributors? They take money from producers share, and the producers always make profit. And Tingu got his share of distributors ke khoon choosey hue paise.
pata nahi but Tingu said in an interview he takes money in accordance to the share gained by theatrical earnings. Pheek bhi sakta hai. But he said that.

But the same Aamir made many of them millionaires with his Dangal, PK and 3idiots.. I guess it's a risky business but that's problem when you make STARS/Productions houses a commodity instead of the product.. These exhibitors/cinema owners need to LEARN a lesson or two. Go for content.. and make intelligent choices.. not just go about blindly because of the "STARS"..
If you buy a stock and the company tanks you don't get a refund. Investing in a stock is a gamble. If the company succeeds, you get dividends. If it tanks, you lose.
Distributing and exhibiting movies is like buying a stock. If the film succeeds you get profits. If a film fails you incur losses.
Now YRF is greedy. They are using their brand to strong-arm distributors and exhibitors. But I believe in free markets and the law of equilibrium.
A stock is valued based on its anticipated future. Similarly, distribution rights and reel prices are based on the films anticipated success. YRF was able to charge premiums prices for TOH because it was a highly anticipated movie riding on a big star cast. War looks good, but the distribution market is probably skittish after TOH abysmal returns. There is no way there is enough demand to justify exorbitant prices.
Either War will get a limited release because of lack of distributors willing to take the gamble or YRF will be forced to reduce the price to get the film widely distributed.
