Crisis on Infinite Earths

Well, this isn't technically a movie or television series. It is one of the annual Arrowervse crossover events. I am just catching up on Supergirl, The Flash, and Batwoman. So, I watched the whole 5 part crossover (including two on Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow) when I got to those episodes.

Arrowverse > MCU

I love MCU films. They are a blast. But every time I watch my favorite Arrowverse shows, I realize it's better. Arrowverse has better worldbuilding, storytelling, and character development. They balance action, humor, and drama well.

Arrowverse is also surprisingly diverse without being in your face or alarming the comic book bros. There is a stunning variety of races, genders, and sexual identities in both cast and characters.

This one was my favorite crossover for the Burt Wade, Tom Welling, and Wil Wheaton cameos. Plus the cheeky reference to Brandon Routh's stint as Superman. Plus self-aware jokes about crossovers in general.

I know Arrow fans were livid about Oliver Queen's fate. I was more annoyed at Lex Luthor and Nash Wells. But at the end of it all, I wonder - did our heroes really save the world? Earth Prime is a new reality. They never saved what was destroyed by the antimatter.

Diabolical- mixed bag.
1 was okay

2 was better and could pass off as a Rick and morty episode

3 was interesting and Jason Isaacs as billy butcher was a pleasant surprise

4 was alright

5 was disgusting

6 was meh

7 was good. Surprised it was written by Andy samberg.

8 was good. Nice backstory for homelander. I never liked Stilwell much but this episode made me glad that and how she died.

The suicide squad- decent watch. Sad about some deaths, glad about some deaths.

Peacemaker- Decent watch. The bad guy’s motive was blah. The dad was too annoying to be enjoyed as a decent villain. Vigilante was mostly annoying. But the rest was okay.

Turning red... Enjoyable ❤️

pushpa part one: the rise...overrated & boring...too much action packed drama...

Spider-Man no way home- Garbage. Paper thin emotions. Paper thin logic. Paper thin moral dilemmas. In a typical Disney fashion, the jokes are lame and unfunny. Didn’t feel anything for anyone. Holland-man was already the most pathetic of the lot but this movie managed to ruin other spidermen too. The only time I smiled in this movie was when annoying May died. 1/10 only for doc ock and green goblin.

Turning red- Fun watch.

Supergirl S5

The first half was interesting. The post-crisis second half seemed rushed and a bit disjointed. Jon Cryer is an unexpectedly great Lex Luthor, but he annoys me so much (maybe because he's such a dislikeable villain).

Sharp Objects

(I'm so old I can't remember if I already did this one)

The show includes many elements that were not in the book. Some work, some feel weird. Although, the show's ending is way more ambiguous and more chilling than the book. Amy Adams is brilliant as always, but Emily Scanlen as Amma gives a show-stealing performance.

Kingsman

I’m a big fan of the brand but the prequel was slow and boring. Plain and simple. Lacked the pace and plot to live up to the name.

Inventing Anna

Defo recommend this one. Insane that this actually happened in real life. Having said that, definitely stretched by an extra 2 episodes that probably weren’t needed.

Tinder Swindler

FINALLY saw this. Crazy, crazy stuff. Felt sorry for the girls but also couldn’t help but wonder who tf takes out 250k in loans for a billionaire?!🤦🏽‍♀️
