What kind of violence? Physical? Sexual? Psychological? Committed by individuals on one another? Committed by one group on another group?
I have no interest in parsing a celebrity's opinion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. So I am not going to address the subject line directly.
Violence is abhorrent and inexcusable! Any normal person would agree to that. That said, a lot of people all over the world are angry and they need a place to put it. On both ends of the spectrum, left and right, there are people who are highly incensed and for that we could partly blame politicians and media who are in it for personal gains and/or to advance an agenda.
In a lot of cases, the anger is justified even if the violence isn't.
The anger isn't going to go away. There are too many people (and in some cases, countries) who feel they have been wronged and for legitimate reasons. There is only so much and for so long one can keep things bottled up. If people can't even agree to disagree civilly, which is the case most times now-a-days, we have a problem!
