Intro of Geet's title music.

Part 1

The camera pans at an isolated place, where a girl is running in the fields in dim lights.

She is being chased by some men who had black covers on their faces, only their eyes are visible. They have swords in their hands.

The chased girl helplessly falls on the ground and asks forgiveness.

She addresses those men as veerji, which means brother. But within the next scene the girl screams "Geeet... and scene shifts indicating that the girl is being killed.

Two women are grinding the red chillis. The elder looking woman addresses her companion as Rano and asks her, where is Geet. She also suggests that girls should be perfect without any blemish or lacking.

Rano addresses the woman as sister in law and replies that there are no issues with Geet. She further expresses how ecstatic she is because the groom's family who are settled in Canada, is coming to see Geet. She only wishes the alliance to get fixed.

Rano's sister in law says with displeasure that it's only going to happen if Geet is going to be present.

Rano informs that Geet is in college to which her sister in law fumes by saying it's time for Daarji(Geet's grandfather - head of the family) to return. Before that Geet should come back home.

Part 2

Next, the bell rings as Geet's college is being shown. There comes a beautiful young girl with a huge smile on her face. She is wearing her sky blue uniform with a white stole. She dances with the passerby on the road and reaches the market.

Another young girl is seen there while she is enjoying all the roadside foods. And we get introduced to Geet's cousin sister Rajji.

Rajji expresses how she is very worried about her upcoming math exam which is tomorrow and today they have Lohri festival in the house. She fears that she would be failed in the exam

Geet assures Rajji that she will do all Rajji's work and Rajji should concentrate on her studies in the afternoon as the festival is scheduled at night. Hearing this Rajji is very happy but suddenly Geet remembers something. She says someone is waiting for her and she runs away leaving a confused Rajji there on the local market.

Rajji goes back home where she is being asked where is Geet. Being afraid Rajji sees their tailor master and instantly makes a lie that she went to see the tailor master for Dolly who is Brij's wife.

Rupindar kaur, the mother of Brij and Geet's aunt says that if Brij finds out all this he will not leave any them.

And there, Geet is running in between the fields, where, seeing a red scooter she calls out someone as Titto who is her younger cousin brother.

Titto complains that Geet is five minutes late. As Geet apologizes and she says they should hurry up to reach home. Titto teases Geet by saying that she is in a rush because the Guy from Canada is coming to see her. To which Geet objects by saying she doesn't want to go to Canada and her scooter speeds up at a good pace.

Part 3

Scene shifts to a temple where an old man with two other men is busy praying. The old man sees Ranjit who is the father of Geet's friend Channi. He asks Ranjit how can his daughter fall for some chotelal's son, hinting towards the lower cast issue.

Ranjit addresses the old man as Daarji while expressing his grief but Daarji scolds him by saying he should have kept an eye on his daughter. He advises Ranjit to make Channi understand and if that doesn't work then give a beating or two.

Meanwhile, a woman comes crying and informs Channi is nowhere to be found. She is Channi's mother who weeps for her child as Daarji tells them to rush and save Channi before it's too late.

While passing by Channi's mother sees some guy and slows down her pace and both shares a stare. The background music suddenly grows into a tense vilified one.

Soon that same guy along with his trails joins Daarji and the other man standing there. He is introduced as Brij.

Seeing Channi's brother accompanying Brij, Mohindar asks what he is doing here when his sister is missing.

Channi's brother answers that Channi is no longer associated with them as she has tarnished the name of their family.

Mohindar gets shocked and Brij shoots a statement towards him that if Geet will do the same then what would be his reaction?

Part 4

As all this is happening, Geet is seen running her scooty with a fast pace. Her white stole/dupatta swiftly flies away in the air and sticks to some mini truck. She is appalled and says how will she get home without the stole.

Next, she chases the mini truck which stops suddenly due to encountering an upcoming car. The sudden break of all the momentum makes Geet stumble on the truck and she slides on the road inside some haystacks.

All the poultries in the mini truck rambles as Geet hastily stands on the ground and pulls her Dupatta out.

A guy climbs out from the same car which stopped seeing all this to help a struggling Geet. As soon as Geet notices his presence she feels extremely shy as she is without her stole.

Barely his spectacles were becoming visible when a shy & startled Geet runs away leaving the stole behind.

Now that she doesn't have her stole she is dead worried how she will return home escaping so many eyes. Especially if someone notifies Daarji that she was roaming around without her stole then what consequences are going go be in her fate.

Very carefully hiding herself with her books and with the help of Titto, Geet finally reaches the entrance of Handa haveli. Before she would smile and pass the sigh of relief a Jeep halts right in front of her.

Surprised, she finds out her Daarji, father, and brother coming out of the Jeep.

The next scene depicts how Geet is severely punished for her atrocities of roaming around the streets of Hoshiyar Pur without the stole. That same stole which represents honor of a famliy in the eyes of Choudhary Sukhdev Lal Handa, Geet's grandfather.

He keeps punishing Geet by hitting her palm with a stick. By this astonishing scenery, the ladies of the house expresses their grief while Daarji yells at Geet that she is soon to be married so she has to grow up and understand her responsibilities. Titto tried to take the blame on him but Brij shuts him down shortly with his "Oye...

As Daarji is about to hit Geet's hand once again some lady intervenes by informing them that the grooms family has arrived and staying at the guest house. Lastly, Geet's hand is spared from the hit due to this news. While tears fall down from her cheeks the episode ends focusing on Geet's sad face.

Finally Geet and Dev look at each other while Geet's face gets pale remembering the dupatta incident from this noon.

Naintara who is introduced as Dev's sister in law and his mother both remember the flashback of seeing a dashing Geet by their car without any stole/cover on her. Naintara put a remark that she thought village girls are very modest but seeing a girl so shameless she is quite surprised.

Episode 3. Aired on 7th April 2010.

Part 1

Dev comes to Daarji while folding his hands and says, "Whatever has happened this doesn't really matter to me. If you permit, I want to marry Geet.

Daarji looks at Dev's mother Pammi and asks for her opinion while she says if the kids are happy then she is happy. Naintara also adds that if Dev likes Geet then it's Geet only who is going to become the daughter in law of their family.

A happy tune is played in the background as everyone is happy with the alliance fixed. Daarji blesses Dev and both families exchange warm hugs and greetings.

Meanwhile, Dev stares at Geet and finds her gloomy, looking downwards.

He then suggests they should ask if Geet is ready for this as well. Mohindar tries to ask by patting her head and a timid Geet stutters badly when Daarji intervenes.

Daarji thunders that the commandments of the elders are the final wish of the girls of their family.

Brij glares coldly at Geet and asks, "Daarji is right, isn't it Geet? You are ready for this alliance or not?

Part 2

Geet gradually hoists her gaze towards Brij but immediately gazes down again while nodding quietly.

Kamya congratulates her mother by saying that their work is done here. Naintara corrects her by saying not work, it's called a new relationship.

Rajji teases Geet while her mother suggests that she should take blessings from Pammi, Dev's mother.

Naintara notices Dev staring at Geet and she says he should not only stare at Geet but also seek blessing from Pammi as well.

Both Geet and Dev bends down together to touch Pammi's feet. As they face each other a shy Geet finally dares to look into Dev's eyes. Both of them exchanges a soft eyelock while Pammi bestows her blessings followed by her own bangle to Geet.

Daarji also bestows some money as a gift to Dev.

Kamya suggests that since everyone is happy now they should fix the roka(engagement).

Part 3

Mohindar reveals that he wants some time as they want to perform the engagement with a grand setting.

Daarji says it's ok if Dev's family wants the engagement done as the relationship is finalized so no meaning for delaying rituals.

Dev, on the other hand, looks a bit tensed and expresses that before anything else, he wants to talk to Geet alone.

Brij rattles hearing this and says, "This is Punjab, not your Canada where a boy and a girl can talk alone before the wedding.

However, Daarji approves hence both Dev and Geet are escorted by Dolly to the rooftop for their meetup.

Seeing Geet's nervous gazes glued to the ground Dolly teases her saying, "Why are you so tensed. He is not going to eat you alive you know! Chuckling, she leaves as Dev walks towards Geet's frame.

Sensing Dev coming closer Geet's heartbeat rises and she takes a mini step to distance herself.

But Dev maintains a healthy distance and smiles at her. He meekly says, "it's not even 2 hours that we've met and our engagement is being finalized. But ever since I have seen you, I am feeling you are a bit tensed. Since everything is moving so quickly. So I thought of asking you. Are you not happy about this wedding?
Or, Is it that you don't even like me?

Geet stays silent and steals glances from the corner of her eyes as both see the green fields facing them.

Dev continues, "The girl I have seen on the streets, she had a faint smile plastered even when she was nervous. But after the marriage talks, even that faint smile has faded from your face. Also, your silence is assuring me that you are not happy with this alliance... Hearing upon this Geet hurriedly tries to intervene and stumbles upon a throne which sticks to her feet.

Dev immediately offers to help hearing her painful hiss as they both kneel down on the ground. He instructs her to close her eyes and removes the throne from her feet. Then he carefully wraps his white handkerchief on her bruise.

Geet is melted by his care as with teary eyes she observes him.

Part 4

Inside the Handa Haveli, the marriage discussion is going on a full swing.

Dev's family informs about a tradition of their family that the wedding place has to be some specific temple as all other weddings in the family have happened there as well. Even though with reluctance but Handas agree to it.

Meanwhile, on the terrace, Dev asks Geet if her foot is hurting too much. She shakes her head in negative as Dev stands and volunteers his hand towards her to stand up as well.

Geet shyly avoids the touch and later confesses that she doesn't want to go to Canada. Hearing upon this Dev's meek smile wears off and he passes a vacant expression.

Rajji and Pammi arrive at the terrace where the episode ends.

Episode 4. Aired on 8th April 2010

Part 1

Seeing Dev and Geet returning back at the hall Kamya passes remark how it must have been a long conversation at the rooftop.

Dev suggests to his mother that they should leave now. The roka date is decided to be finalized the next day.

Before they leave Daarji invites them for the Lohri festival held at night.

All of a sudden Dev's mother Pammi requests the Handa family to not reveal about the upcoming marriage. She further explains how people are jealous and fast to put black eyes as well as their past 2, 3 experiences are not very pleasant. People often yelp at the fact that the boy is from Canada.

Part 2

After they leave, Mohindar raises the question that he doesn't get why they should only inform anyone!. Daarji shuts him down saying that since they are the groom's family and Geet will be marrying into that family so whatever they say has to be respected.

Mohindar replies that but there's nothing lacking in Geet. Brij cuts him down and says Geet is a girl, isn't it enough of a lacking in her!! She shall find her home soon(Husband's house).

Geet just spares a helpless gaze at Brij's chauvinistic comment and goes at the rooftop reminiscing her sweet moments with Dev.

Part 3

Her mother arrives as Geet is deeply immersed in her thoughtfulness and smiling softly. Rano chirps at Geet that she has to look the best for Lohri so better choose some good attire for it. Since Geet is getting married for real there should be joy all around.
Finding Geet silently smiling she further asks what's her impression about the boy?

Geet replies coyly that she liked the boy. After a brief pause, she reveals that she might have talked more than required and told the guy that she doesn't want to go to Canada.

Listening to this Rano gets furious and scolds Geet that people die to get such a groom whereas her daughter has completely rubbed it off on his face. What does Geet want? Wants to study more? Why do girls even study so that they can get a good husband! Here Geet was already having it then why saying things to make him upset.

Geet tries to explain to her enraged mother that Dev asked her to be truthful that's why she stated so.

Rano is not calmed by any of her reasoning and thinks what if the boy's family reject this marriage. Soon Geet and her mother see Rupindar Kaur standing there. She says she has overhead everything and keep all of this to yourselves, don't tell the men of the house.

And Lohri starts, Geet is remembering the remark of her mother about Dev being an exceptional boy and flashbacks of Dev's soft caring nature syncs in her mind.

Rajji comes calling Geet to join the Lohri downstairs. Geet replies that her mother and aunt have advised her to be inside the house. Rajji further asks about Channi to which Geet says it's likely Channi will not come as she was not seen on the extra classes as well.

Part 4

At the Lohri, Channi's mother arrives and cries inquiring about her missing daughter.

She looks at Brij accusing that he knows something. Rather he might be the one who is the reason behind Channi being missing.

Brij goes into the flashback where the first scene of the first episode is being shown, a girl begging for her life.

Unable to cope with Channi's mother's accusations Brij fumes in anger and recoils that the girls who play with family's reputation should be wiped off.

He further says Channi had to be punished because she had been polluting the soil of their village by her sinful acts.(being in love with some guy who is lower cast)

Hearing upon this, Channi's mother wails as everyone present at the Lohri festival is in extreme shock. Brij's father shakes Brij scolding that what rubbish is he even saying. Channi's mother shouts at Brij saying, "Means, You have killed my daughter... She repeats it a few times while breaking down on the ground and it's shown Dev's family standing there probably beholding all the drama!

Daarji and whole Handa clan get tensed as Dev's family must have listened to the accusations Channi's mother has put and the episode ends here as a bemused Dev is staring at Channi's mother.

Part 2

Kamya teases that the fire that's being lit is very beautiful and cinematic. Almost how ideal for the meetings of hero and heroines shown in the films. She hints towards Dev saying the hero is here but where is the heroine(Geet) missing.

Naintara corrects her to summon Geet as her sister in law and a bashful Geet arrives escorted by Dolly, Rajji.

Dev ogles at Geet widely whereas Geet is nervous and holds Rano's hand. Rano tells her to get blessings from all the elders.

As she seeks Blessings from Dev's family, Naintara hugs Geet while Dev and Geet exchanges another brief eyelock.

Kamya wishes Geet happy Lohri, further asking Dev to say something to Geet as well.

Dev wishes Geet,
"Lohri Mubarak ho...Geet feels happy seeing how well mannered Dev is.

However, Kamya further adds, "Not this...Tell Sister in law that thing which you told me earlier..."

The ladies from Handa family get anxious as the background music changes into a tensed one indicating they are thinking that Dev might say no for the marriage due to Geet's foolish revelation about not wanting to go to Canada.

But Geet and everyone gets ecstatic with Dev's reply as he says,
"We will arrange same Lohri for you there too in Canada. Rather would turn Canada as India for your happiness Geet. Have some faith..."

Geet is extremely happy and relieved that Dev has not misunderstood her. She seeks a cornered gaze at him and wishes him back, "Wish you for the Lohri too...  " With her meekest soft voice.

Part 3

There everyone is happy, dancing & enjoying the festival when Daarji asks Brij why Channi's mother came there and put such allegations on Brij.

Brij denies everything saying that he doesn't know but as Rajnit said his wife has gone nuts.

Daarji says he knows what is Brij capable of doing to protect the traditional values & reputation of a family. Though he wishes Brij didn't do what he is anticipating.

There, Dev and Geet are seen sitting together where Geet says,
"It seems you have not told your family about the things I have told you on the rooftop.

Dev replies that those were private moments between the both and he won't share his private talks with anybody else. If Geet has anything to object she can share with him without hesitation as he will not allow any third person to know any of it.

As Geet finally looks at him with a beautiful smile adorning her face, Dev touches his adam's apple and mouths
 "I promise." at Geet.

Part 4

Both their attention next caught by the song sequence "Rabba Rabba Jee Karda where everyone is shown dancing and singing especially Geet's uncle.

Dev passes a note to a nervous Geet which reads,

"Till we are apart from each other can you share a photo please..

Geet smiles reading the note but when Dev tries to capture her photo she shies away. Seeing her shyness Dev gathers both families together and asks for taking photos.

Soon after taking one group photo a happy Dev zooms at Geet's shyly smiling face to only take her photo alone. A piece of soft, soulful background music but is interrupted by a call which changes his expressions into a tensed one.

He goes to his family and says something and the scene shifts inside the Handa haveli where only both families are seen to standing to talk it out.

Geet's family asks what is it that suddenly Dev and Co have been so anxious.

Brij suggests if it's about dowry then they are prepared as Geet is a girl.

Hiding behind the pillars Geet listens to everything and she clutches her stole near her heart while telling Rajji that something bad is going to happen.

But Dev says,
"I am ready to take Geet with me in just two slacks of clothes..But...

He put a pause which is broken by, "But...Now the situation has been changed (Halat badal gaye hain...)

As everyone stares at each other's faces the episode ends.

Episode 6. Aired on 12th April 2010

Part 1

Dev continues to reveal that a sudden emergency has come up and he has to leave for Canada. He can be in India for barely 4 days more. And can't come back to India within one year.

Naintara adds that they have thought after the engagement the marriage shall take place within 3/ 4 months but now such a hurdle has transpired that they can't even request the Handa's to wait.

Amidst all this Daarji calls for a timid Geet and asks her to return the bangles Dev's mother gifted her.

He apologizes to Dev's family explaining, "Please don't mind but I can't make her sit at home for next one year.

Dev and Geet both shares a hurtful eyelock as Geet reluctantly return the bangles.

Before leaving Dev spares a helpless gaze towards a heartbroken Geet and with that sadness envelopes Geet's face.

Part 2

Next Morning.

Handas are in a bad mood, specially Rupindar, Geet's aunt.

She taunts that without Geet getting married Rajji's marriage can't be talked about.

The woman who is the matchmaker for Geet and Dev's alliance she comes and expresses her displeasure about how Handa's shouldn't have rejected the proposal as Dev's family belongs to a royal family, plus Dev is such a well behaved, educated boy.

Daarji retorts by saying Handas are no less and he reminds her of some alliance where the girl had to wait for 2 years and at the end that boy never married her.

After some more dispute, Brij yells at the matchmaker and she leaves irritated.

Meanwhile, Rajji takes Geet with her. Geet is clueless as in where Rajji is escorting her. Soon she finds out herself on the middle of the road where Dev turns around. He has some red cloth in his hand.

Geet immediately cast her gaze downwards shying away and tells Dev that she wants to go home.

Dev replies, he too has to go home but before that, he needs to confess something.

He further adds, from the moment he has first seen her, a dream has been growing in his heart that he will see her that red stole when she will be his bride.

Wherever he is tomorrow but he feels this red stole/Dupatta will connect them.

Geet politely declines his gift, her gaze still fixed at the ground.

Dev smiles sadly and asks won't she at least spare a gaze towards him before he leaves!

Gradually yet eventually Geet lifts her hazels up to meet Dev's awaiting orbs.

Locking his eyes on her, Dev recalls that this place- road - nature is quite the same one where they have first met.

A soft, soulful background music plays while Dev sadly adds that even their last meeting happens at the same spot.

As Geet scrunches her eyebrows in perplexity, suddenly a punch lands on Dev's jaw.

Appalled, Both sees Brij standing there as he starts hitting Dev.

A helpless Geet who is witnessing everything standing by a tree cries with grief.

When returned at home she is being called for another beating session as everyone at the Handa Haveli reprimands at Geet for being so foolish to meet Dev on the bridge.

An enraged Daarji asks for Geet's palm to start his punishment session for her mistake. As Daarji thunders and is about to punish, Geet trembles with fear anticipating the stick piercing her palm.

But Daarji stops in the midway due to another hand sliding before Geet's.

Part 2

Brij seethers in anger and attempts to beat Dev again when the police arrive.

Police inform that Channi's mother has complained regarding Brij killing Channi.

Daarji tells police that Channi's mother has gone mad which her own husband is saying hence Police should further investigate before reaching to conclusions.

The Policemen agrees and decides to leave. But seeing the bruises on Dev's face they ask him about it.

Dev doesn't reveal the truth of being beaten by Brij rather says he tripped and fall.

Since he saved their honor, Mohindar thanks Dev.

Brij doesn't look at Dev and keeps showing his back as Dev tells him that he had no intentions to ruin Handa's reputation by meeting Geet alone. It's just that every time leaving for Canada is easier for him. However this instance he feels he is leaving something precious back in India. He further thanks Handas for their love and hospitality.
Touching Daarji's feet Dev starts leaving when Daarji's voice stops him, "My decision is still the same. We can't wait for one year...However... There is the intense pause...

"Will you be ready to marry Geet within the next three days?? He asks Dev.

Geet looks at Dev with secret hope as Dev is still in disarray hearing Daarji's wish.

Part 3

At the rooftop, Geet is reflecting over things as Rajji and titto teasing her about going to Canada. Geet replies she really doesn't want to go to Canada while Rajji asks if Geet can swear by heart that she doesn't like Dev.

Geet says when did she say she doesn't like Dev! On this, some more teasing happens. Channi's topic is raised during the conversation and Geet is clearly missing her friend. Rajji rose a question that if Brij is capable of killing someone. Geet covers Rajji's mouth and tells her that Brij might be a bit angry, strict & a chauvinist but she can't imagine any of her family member is capable of committing a sin horrific as Murder.

As Geet's aunt calls to get ready before Dev's family arrive for the Roka, they ends their conversation there.

Part 4

Dev's family arrives and exchanges greetings. Dev and Geet are being seated next to each other where Dev is staring at Geet and her eyes as usual fixed at the ground.

Naintara passes a compliment saying that Dev and Geet look really great together. Geet blushes hearing this as Naintara adds she needs to start getting habituated of listening to this often. Everyone is very happy and smiling as the Roka ceremony begins.

The ladies sing traditional Punjabi songs for the Roka as Geet is adorned by a beautiful red stole. (The song was so authentic because all of them really sung and not used some audio)

Mohindar feels mixed emotions that his daughter's Roka is happening. One by one, the rituals are being performed.

After the Roka is done Handas gift jewelry to Dev's family. They all hug each other and Dev's mother shows a bit reluctance before taking the jewelry then Dolly blurts out there's always give and take in the weddings. Now, what is it that Dev's family has to offer!

Hearing this blunt statement everyone is shocked and Dev's family gets embarrassed as Daarji intervenes and says it's time for food.

He congratulates Pammi and says From now on Geet/the honor of the Handa family belongs to them.

The episode ends here by Naintara giving away some mysterious smiles as the background music grows in to a vicious evil one.

In reply he says Geet is his everything and both father and daughter shares some emotional moment as Geet says he suggested her to study so that she can do something in life, experience new things then why she is being married off so soon. She expresses her displeasure with the early marriage as Mohindar tells her,  she is extremely lucky to be married into such a respectable family, get a husband like Dev.

As Dev is extremely mild-mannered, Geet can always continue her studies after the marriage if she wants.

Geet still isn't convinced & doesn't want to leave her family to be in such a far away country. Mohindar hugs and consoles her seeing the tears.

Part 2

A smiling Dev with Rajji and Titto comes in their vicinity and sees Geet and Mohindar. Dev gets shy for invading the personal moment of a father and daughter.

Meanwhile downstairs, Dolly expresses that Dev's family has not given anything except those two slick bangles. Whereas Geet's family has already given jewelry worth of 4 to 5 lacs till now.

This is overheard by Naintara, Pammi and Kamya.

Rupindar tries to do some damage control but all the three ladies seem sad.

Naintara shares with a sad voice that they didn't know things would happen so fast as they were not prepared for this sudden wedding. They are trying to exchange dollars though but no luck there too.

She further adds that they have a family tradition of giving away a lot of jewelry to the daughter in laws blessed with Kuldevta. But now even that will also not be possible.

Hearing about all the trouble a generous Rano states there is nothing to worry as they have a lot of jewelleries which can be put for the blessings of Kuldevta. After all, it is only Geet who is going to get all those wealth.

Dolly and Pammi are annoyed hearing Rano's solution as Rano takes all of them with her to offer some sweets.

Part 3

On Geet's room, Dev has warm conversations with Mohindar as he orders Titto to show Dev the fields which are on Geet's name.

Mohindar expresses his gratitude towards Dev for not demanding a thing for this wedding while Dev says the most valuable one is Geet who is going to be his bride.

Mohindar smiles widely and is ecstatic hearing Dev's answer. He suggests Geet should accompany Dev and the kids as they are going for a field tour.

In the kitchen Rupindar asks Rano what the hell is she doing. Rano says all she is doing for the welfare of this wedding and that Rupindar should also give away jwelleries.

Rupindar thunders at Rano hearing this suggestion and denies to give away any of her stuff.

Daarji comes and whips that there's nothing called mine and yours. Everything that this family has belongs to each of the members. As Rano is right so Rupindar must give away her jwelleries as well.

There, in the fields Dev, Geet, Titto & Rajji are roaming together where Dev is chatting with Geet.

He says, "Do you know what Kamya has been telling me? Ever since I've met you, I have changed.
To be honest, I am also feeling the same. I feel a bit lost. Smiling when am alone. Suddenly he halts at Geet, further adding, "One moment. I want to save this moment.
It's the first instance that you have smiled at something I have said!! Keeping an eye at Rajji and Titto, finding a chance Dev comes a bit closer to a smiling Geet.

As she blushes Dev lowers his tone and asks, "So shall I consider that you are now Happy with this marriage?? Orrr???

"Nooo... Geet slips in a hurry while Dev smiles, "No??

"I mean yes... A nervously blushing Geet corrects herself immediately as Dev teases her, "So your no means yes, I get it...

Soon their soft romantic moment gets interrupted by Brij's presence who gets angry seeing Dev with Geet roaming around the nature.

Part 4

Geet sees Channi's bag is at Brij's possession and doubt forms in her mind when he doesn't answer her questions. Rather Brij catches Geet's hand while commanding her to get back home.

This time Dev holds Brij's clutch and tells him to let go of the hold.
Folding his hands in front of Brij, Dev further adds, that now that Geet is his fiancee he doesn't want anyone to behave like that with her.

Brij eventually lets Geet go.

Meanwhile back at the house, Mohindar gets an anonymous call from a woman who claims she knows the real truth about Dev's family. And if he is interested to know the same then he should meet her near the market Gurudwara at sharp 9 tomorrow. And the call ends.

On the other side, the  Handa ladies are bestowing the jewelleries for the Kuldevi ritual asked by Naintara.
As Dev's family is showered with a lot of jewellery Naintara gets sad and she meekly says once they are back in Canada, all this would be paid off.

Daarji cuts her and says all they are like his child hence consider all these ornaments as a gift from their(Handas) side.

However, Mohindar is worried inside and observing things in silence. He finds it odd how Kamya is ogling at all the jewels with greed.

Pammi, Dev's mother requests them to keep this jewellery taking matter as a secret from Dev. As she fears Dev would not take it well. And Rano agrees.

Then Dev's family leaves saying they have a Pooja to attend.

Geet sees Dev passing by her while bidding goodbye with folding hands. She gets into flashback remembering sweet memories with Dev. And she admits to herself that her father was correct, Dev is an amazing human being.

Whereas Mohindar is anxious with the phone call and is recalculating over everything in his mind.

Now they have returned with a lot of goods & new ornaments for Geet and family. Also returning the jewelleries taken from Handas.

Daarji says it's fine, they can have the Jewelleries considering it as a gift from Handa clan.

Naintara politely declines by saying it's not needed anymore rather they have bought new jewelleries for Geet.

But Daarji insists them by saying, "No. Now you'll have to listen to us in this matter.
You people are doing so much for our daughter. We too have some obligations. Hence you have to accept these jewelleries.

Naintara and Pammi are happy hearing this and exchanges a joyous gaze between themselves while Naintara informs, "Mother, we shall leave now. The priest has waited for us once. Repeatedly making him wait doesn't feel nice. Let's go. And they bid goodbye from the Handa clan while Daarji again reminds them to take the jewelry with them and they at last agrees.

Part 1

The landline at Handa Haveli rings as Geet's aunt Rupindar attends the call

She gets greeted by Dev on the other line. He says he wants to talk with Geet.

Dolly asks who could call Geet, Rupindar yells and informs it's Geet's finance, Dev!

Earlier Rajji and Dolly teased Geet that she will have to wear jeans in Canada, to which Geet didn't agree. So upon hearing Dev has called, Rajji pretends to be Geet and starts talking, Dolly puts the phone on speaker.

As Rajji says hello Dev immediately raises his eyebrows and smirks a little. Rajji asks Dev what kind of clothes are being preferred in Canada for girls.

He smiles and answers that girls there wear Jeans, short skirts, tops, etc.

Rajji keeps the pretense and asks that, does Dev wants her(Geet) to also wear such dresses? She even takes pauses between her talks to imitate Geet accurately.

Dev chuckles widely and answers, "Don't know about Geet but You, miss Rajji would look super cute.

Rajji is surprised while she investigates how Dev knew it's her, to which Dev replies he knows how Geet is. And can never ask him questions like this. Indicating her shy nature.

Dolly takes the phone from Rajji and says, "However Geet is worried about all this only. That what are the lifestyle of Canada, Eating habits. And how Lasuniya(lasagna) is made?

Dev wishes to talk to Geet alone and finally Geet shyly picks up the receiver. (damn am tired with her shyness, only it's Drashti why it's still so cute)

A smiling Dev questions Geet why suddenly conversations being made about Lasagna. (Gosh who would have known PewDiePie would release a famous anthem called Bitch Lasagna, I can only think about that lol)

Hesitating a bit, an innocent Geet replies that Kamya has told her about it. And she doesn't know much about Dev's world. She can't ever be,(takes a pause), a good wife to him!

Dev is bemused by her innocence and replies he wants her as his companion. However Geet is she is perfect and doesn't need to change for him.

Geet still is eager to know about Dev's likes and Dislikes.

Dev says if she really wants to be a good wife to him then she needs to meet him behind the garden tomorrow morning. And he cuts the call.

Part 2

Next day. Morning.

Mohindar is seen waiting on the market near Gurudwara.

He takes a note at the watch and turns around. Suddenly Naintara comes in front and both of them exchanges a shocked look. Naintara quickly grasps herself and greets Mohindar.

She asks him to come with her but Mohindar slips away and Naintara leaves. Then a woman comes and calls Mohindar.

Meanwhile, Geet with her wet hair walks into the garden as Dev asked. She sees the whole path is decorated with red rose petals.

Seeing all this she is ecstatic and thinks nobody has ever made her feel so much special in her life.

She reaches near a big tree where flower petals are being showered on her like rain. Overjoyed, Geet stretches her palm and feels the petals touching her fingers then falling into the ground. She closes her eyes and slowly swirls with happiness while her palm is filled with flower petals.

"Since morning, I've been waiting for the morning only. For people, morning arrives with sunshine. But my life illuminates with your presence. Hence the morning. begins. Dev's voice comes through as he walks towards Geet.

Hearing him she immediately gets in her shy shell and fixes her hazels to the ground as usual.

As Dev is waiting for her reply, Geet gradually hoists her gaze up and throws a coy smile then tries to walk off.

Dev stops her by teasing, "So you will leave without saying a word? Then you can't be a good wife.

Part 3

On the market.

Mohindar is talking with the unknown woman who called him there.

She warns them that how can they fix a marriage without even knowing the boy's family properly. She reveals that, they have done the same with another girl. That girl's father had to sell everything for the wedding to take place.

Even when the father of that poor girl sold everything still the marriage couldn't happen. Because they said the money is not enough. And they broke the alliance. Mohindar escapes a perplexed expression on the revelation.

There, Dev is telling Geet that the Journey which they have set to travel is not individually his or hers. Rather it's a journey of togetherness. And it's his responsibility that Geet never gets hurt on the path.

He further adds, "The rose petals which you walked on this morning, I had collected all the thrones from them. (Well it's cheesier than my ffs, can't help to say this)

Geet briefly lifts her gaze at him being mesmerized by his endearing words.

Then he asks, "Do you know why? Geet's eyes again downcast.

"Because I love you!! And his confession echos inside her big hazels which she hoists hearing those three magical words.

She gets immensely shy finding Dev's soft stares at her.

Dev asks if she wants to say anything to him. An elated Geet just meekly thanks Dev as an answer.

Dev tries to put a tease to lighten up the situation as he says, at least this time she has not said she doesn't want to go to Canada.

Geet politely says she still feels the same about Canada but it's just that her father says Dev is a nice guy. So...

Dev asks, And what is her opinion about him?

Before Geet could answer Rajji calls her. Dev demands that he wants an answer next time. A smiling Geet starts running towards home on the same petalic path that she came walking.

At the market, Mohindar requests the stranger woman to go with him and tell all the truth in front of his family. The woman agrees.

Part 4

Dev's family arrives at the Handa house. Both families are ready to leave for Salim pur which is 6 hours away(by car).

Geet comes clad in a blue suit for and Dev is mesmerized by her beauty once again.

As they were about to leave, Mohindar arrives accompanying that woman.

Seeing Dev's family she asks Mohindar is this the groom's family. Mohindar confirms while the lady says what a great was going to be done by her.

Mohindar looks at her with shock and Dev's family is scrutinizing at the woman with their eyebrows up as well.

Before leaving the lady further confirms that it's not Dev's family that she has talked about.

Naintara asks with clueless expressions who was that woman and why she was talking about them.

Daarji looks extremely pissed at Mohindar. Dolly in the meanwhile runs her mouth and blabbers that the lady they saw warned them on the phone regarding Dev's family being frauds.

Rupindar shuts the airhead Dolly and there Dev's family expresses their displeasure for doubting them.

Daarji commands Geet's father to seek forgiveness. Geet is reduced to tears seeing all the turn of events and Mohindar folds his hands in front of Dev's family.

As he politely seeks forgiveness with his head down, Rano and Geet seem utterly depressed.

The episode ends on Geet's mourning face.
