This is hard to tell because Bollywood doesn’t get the kind of content and budget that Hollywood does.

Tabu is fabulous. Irfan has appeared in an Oscar nominated movie. Tabu and Ishaan are doing a Mira Nair movie and her movies have potential. Aamir is a great actor. He was called Bollywood’s Tom Hanks back at the height of Tom Hank’s hype with Forest Gump his Oscar wins. But all of these guys will have to go for content driven roles which will get a lot of critical acclaim and awards. None of them will be cast in a money spinner romcom or spy thriller etc because big studios would want to go for big known names so they can get their money’s worth. I suspect one of the main reasons Priyanka’s movie career never took off in Hollywood. She won’t get cast in a role intended for Emma Stone or Jennifer Lawrence or even Jennifer Aniston or Reese Whitherspoon.

Hrithik has a very sculptured look. But he doesn’t look like a stereotypical Indian or South Asian man. His white skin and green eyes with symmetrical face are dime a dozen in Hollywood. He’s really got nothing to stand out. He’s not really this acting god that his fans make him out to be. His Bollywood hits mean nothing over there so there’s nothing for a big studio to cash in on. If he went to Hollywood he would have a much harder time. Same as above, no one will offer him a role over Bradley Cooper or a Matt Damon. Forget Leonardo, that man is in a league of his own.

Indian actors are much better than Hollywood actors. Also the acting style is quite different, especially how emotions like anger are expressed in Hollywood films. It is very, very very, restrained bordering on being unnatural, also they don't cry much which again is quite unnatural, from Indian point of view.

Hrithik did try to go to Hollywood. They thought Kites was going to be his big break, god knows why. They had even gotten Brett Ratner on board to present it or edit it or something. At the time, Hrithik got a Hollywood agent too and there was lots of PR about him going to HW now.

I'm not even going to talk about talent because it's not a big deal in HW either. They may have Leo but they also have Zac Efron and The Rock and Adam Sandler and so many others like that. But the reality is that HW has no need or use for Indian actors when their own actors can do all the same things. At most, they can get side roles and 5 minute cameos. Actresses don't mind it so it's easier for them to go to Hollywood since even in Bollywood, they mostly play supporting characters to the males.

Disagree on Hrithik as I mentioned above. But totally agree on Tara. She’s young and still has potential to make it into a musical or Broadway. In fact I think her musical talent will probably be much more helpful for her if she pursues anything outside of Bollywood.

The reason for that is that Indians value math and science so they will develop enough engineers and scientists who can do those kind of projects.

Indians have zero value for fine arts so even a very talented writer probably won't go and become a writer. He will be an office grunt in IT just like everyone else. That's the reason why BW writing is trash. Even the movies people hail are not really good. Our top actors like Aamir are busy doing Hollywood remakes with the source material already given to them because even they can't develop anything original. So there is not much hope for anyone lesser.

Everyone acting style is different but I find Hollywood actresses more natural onscreen than Bollywood actresses ( Bollywood needs to tone down on the heavy make up and jewelries especially in SLB movies)

It's really hard to judge since hollywood and bollywood content are driven by different cultures and languages.

purely based in acting, I would say Indian film industry actors are better.

indian actors are kinda shit tbh but then there is Nawaz.. dude is one of the best actor there is hes on the level of Joaquin Phennix and Dustin hoffman
