This is a shot on Rajveer and Naina. But it has nothing to do with Left Right Left, KMA. Just wanted to try something different other than Captain and Cadet relationship. But the teacher-student relationship stands erect.  😉😛

1. The Exam

She is nervous as it is her first exam of MA first year. She is of course well prepared but how much good her preparation be, this nervousness doesn't cease to leave her side be it any examination that she had given prior to this exam.

Checking out her room number displayed outside the examination hall, she enters the room allotted to her.

As she enters the exam room her eyes first fall on the invigilator. He looks matured, serious and a bit rude. That's what his first impression on her is like.

As soon as his eyes fall on her, she lowers her eyes out of hesitation. They have never met before, but something about her makes him to stare her for a little longer than was required. But it doesn't take him much time to drag his eyes away from her. He hates PDA! He doesn't even know her. Doesn't want her to know that he felt a certain kind of attraction towards her.

But hell she is younger to him probably eight years or even more. She must be 21 if she has completed her graduation recently. And about himself he knows, he is 29! But hold on why is he thinking about the age gap between the girl, apparently his student and himself?

She knows this paper has gone on toss! First she is already nervous and now this man in front of her! Why does she want to run away immediately? Could she get another room please? She doesn't want to get distracted!

She slowly gets into the room and shows him her roll number, her identity card. The teacher tries not to look towards her, checking out her roll number, he lets her know where she has to sit. Naina too tries to not look towards him directly, observing him through her peripheral vision.

Taking her seat, keeping her belongings on the table, she finally takes a sigh.

Resting her forearms on the bench, entwining her fingers together, she takes a sigh of relief.

Her eyes then wanders back towards the teacher. She could feel her skin turning warm as she finds him staring her already. Her heart skips a beat.

She quickly looks away controlling her emotions that are taking place of her nervousness.

Another teacher enters the room, dragging the invigilator's attention, handing over the answer sheets to him. Naina stares his each gesture. She for the first time sees him smiling. She doesn't understand why her heart clenches on seeing him smiling. A feeling that he is holding a lot behind that smile of his, suddenly enters her mind and heart. Why - she fails to understand! Call it instinct of hers that she somehow manages to understand a little bit about people in front of her if not everything.

The way he walks towards his table, his walk does look charismatic. Naina doesn't realize when her eyes turn dark on him.

The teacher after counting the number of sheets hunts for his pen in his jeans' pocket but realizes that he is not having one. His eyes automatically turn towards Naina.

This doesn't skip Naina's heartbeat because the moment she found him searching for his pen, she somehow knew that if he doesn't find his pen, he would surely turn towards her. That's exactly what happens!

He keeps staring her. Others being nervous themselves don't pay much heed to what the invigilator is doing.

Naina shifts her vision towards her pouch containing her pens and other stationary stuffs. Unzipping it slowly, she brings out one pen. Zipping back her pouch she forwards her hand a little, resting her hand still on the desk, upside down, just to make him aware about it and not wanting others to stare her.

The teacher walks towards her, never taking his eyes away from her. His each step towards her, increases her heartbeat. The teacher doesn't fail to notice the rapid rising and falling of her chest. The blushed up state of hers doesn't go unnoticed by the teacher.

She is young yet seems matured at many aspects. Naina lowers her eyes as he reaches her, staring her throughout. He accepts the pen from her hand a bit roughly. The sudden roughness makes the pen to fall from her hand. This skips Naina's heartbeat. Not looking towards him to know his reaction to it, she bends to pick it up. The teacher happens to reach the pen at the same time and hence Naina accidentally gets to hold his hand. Shivers run down the spines of both of them. Naina immediately withdraws her hand. And sits straight on her seat. The teacher stares her whilst getting up, his eyes dark on her. Not wanting anyone to notice, he turns and leaves for his desk.

Naina stares him going. Her heart beating at a tremendous speed. She didn't want this. Why did it happen?

Reaching back his desk the teacher does his work.

Naina looks towards him hesitantly. Did he feel anything? Anything at all? The thought frustrates her.

It feels as if she is giving an exam at the moment. That if he does look towards her she would pass a big exam and if not then it is failure for her.

Her constant staring him doesn't go unnoticed by him. He gets irritated. He finally looks towards her, his expression shouting at her to stop messing up with his brain. This surprises Naina, she feels humiliated and she lowers her eyes promising herself silently that she won't look back towards him again.

The bell rings and the teacher finally distributes the answer sheets and question papers. He doesn't for once look towards Naina while placing her answer book and question paper at her bench. Naina too doesn't expect anything of that sort from him.

On the next round the teacher signs the answer booklet. Naina waits for him to get done with that because apparently this would be the last time for some hours that he would come to her seat otherwise she would be free of this torture of enduring his presence because at the moment she is doing exactly that - enduring his presence. It's suffocating!

It feels as if this is yet another exam that for how long can she endure this tension going on between them. Just that she doesn't have the guts to name the tension as - sexual tension!

He finally reaches her. Taking her answer booklet he checks her credentials, her name gets imprinted on not only his mind but his heart too - Naina Singh Ahluwalia! He stares her name for some moments and a little smile stretches on his lips. The minute familiarity in their names makes him to blush he holds his feelings, not wanting her to notice.

But Naina does notice, something is amiss!

Ignoring everything he focuses back on his duty, he signs her paper as - Rajveer Singh Shekhawat!

The exam hour procceeds. Naina indulges herself into solving the paper. After an hour she asks for another answer sheet. He provides her with that. Naina accepts it without looking towards him, fully engrossed in her paper.

Finally the bell rings and the paper gets over. Rajveer collects the answer booklets. Naina gets indulged into tying the extra sheets with the main booklet. It goes clumsy. She gets nervous by the fact that he is about to reach her and she still is unable to tie the papers together.

Soon Rajveer reaches her. He had already witnessed her nervousness when he was collecting the papers of the student sitting ahead of her.

Reaching her desk, Rajveer pulls the paper from her hand, staring her all serious. Naina's heart skips a beat on his sudden gesture and she slowly looks towards him. He ties her sheets, his eyes focused on tying the sheets together but her none reaction goes unnoticed by him. Like the way she is fidgeting with the pen in her hand. He knows it is nothing but her nervousness. He doesn't make any effort to calm her down and how would he with all the students around them?

Slowly all the students start to leave the class.

Rajveer is standing in front of his table arranging the answer sheet. Naina passes from in front of his desk giving him a last nervous look.

On her next exam Naina reaches the new class allotted to her. Secretly she wishes for not having Rajveer Singh Shekhawat as her invigilator today. To her relief she finds another male teacher as her invigilator.

The procedure follows. Students with answer sheets in their hands wait for the question papers to get distributed.

Her heart skips a beat when Rajveer enters her room to handover the question papers to the invigilator.

She stares him, secretly expecting him to look towards her. But how would he know about her presence there? - the thought brings a frown on her face. But a person can always dream! And sometimes the dream does turn true!

Her heart skips another beat and her face turns red hot when before turning to leave he finally looks towards her! He noticed! He did notice her presence in the class, apparently since the moment he entered the classroom. The thought makes Naina to blush.

The way he looked towards her, this she got assured that whatever she is feeling ain't only from her side! It's a mutual feeling. The thought makes Naina to blush.

The question papers get distributed, and she focuses on her answersing.

The next exam is the most difficult exam for her. She is nervous. If this exam goes well, she is sure she is going to pass this year with amazing marks.

She needs a reassurance that she would be able to get through this exam. She wonders if she gets to see him today, that would be the best thing. He is her lucky charm!

But expecting a view of his is a stupidity. He must be having his own work to do. But what if he turns out to be the invigilator today too?

She becomes hopeful! But deep down she knows that's stupidity!

The invigilator enters and her heart sinks despite knowing that he wouldn't turn out to be her invigilator, deep down she had a hope but alas! the hope went at a toss on discovering the invigilator.

As the papers get distributed, they begin with their exams.

On one of the questions while she was busy thinking about the answer, her eyes rest on Rajveer who is standing at the entrance of the opposite class. His back turned towards her. She realizes that it's him by his demeanor. A smile stretches on her lips seeing him, her lucky charm. Rajveer chooses that moment to turn and his eyes unintentionally straightaway rest on Naina. Naina quickly lowers her eyes, her cheeks turned red hot. This was completely unexpected for her.

With her heart thumping inside her chest she stares towards her question paper with almost blank mind. She slowly looks back towards him just to know, is he still staring? To her surprise he was! They stare each other. Rajveer with his arms folded over his chest stares her for sometime, as if fulfilling her secret desire so that she could focus on her paper after getting what she wants - his attention for few moments. Naina lowers her eyes and shaking her head focuses back on her exam.

The exam ends and she leaves but not before glancing towards him while crossing by his class but Rajveer remains occupied in collecting the papers and hence doesn't realize that she has left already.

When he does realize, he sighs, feeling helpless.

It's her final exam today, she should be happy. She is well prepared, she should be happy.

She walks into the class. Takes her seat and her answer sheet and question paper get distributed. She checks the questions, she knows them all, she should be happy.

But she is not! She is feeling nothing!

Taking a deep breath, she begins with the exam. She hopes to see him today too but doesn't get even a glance of his. Sighing, she focuses back on her exam.

Soon the paper ends. Everyone starts departuring. It was her final paper, she is free from today but not much happy she seems to be.

Even while walking out of the class and through the corridor, she hopes for at least one last glance but her heart keeps sinking realizing that he is nowhere to be seen.

She reaches the main gate of the institution. Turning back again she checks hopefully, but she doesn't find him anywhere.

As she walks out of the gate waiting for a rickshaw to escort her to the metro station, a jeep happens to reach her and startles her. She looks towards the driver with knitted brows. But a smile stretches on her lips out of pleasant shock on discovering Rajveer there. He turns to look towards her, his hands holding the steering wheel.

Naina remains transfixed at her place. Expecting him to say something.

"Ghar chor dun?",

he asks, staring her possessively, a little smile stretching on his lips.

Naina shakes her head into negative out of hesitation.

"Metro station?",

offers Rajveer.

Naina blushes, closing her eyes. Opening them she says, looking towards him,

"Main chali jaungi."

"As you wish!",

he says and without saying another word he leaves.

As he leaves, Naina's heart sinks. She didn't expect him to go away so easily. Had he offered her again she would have accepted, but alas that didn't happen.

Sighing, she walks forth.

After walking for few more minutes she doesn't find any automobile to escort her to the metro station. Suddenly her heart skips a beat as she finds his jeep standing at a corner. She looks around and notices that there is no market place around for which he might have stopped the jeep. Engrossed in her thinking, eyeing his jeep skeptically, she reaches it and gets surprised to find him sitting inside. Another surprise comes when he turns to look towards her, his right hand holding the steering wheel. Staring her with a little smile on his face, he asks again, politely,

"Ghar chor dun?"

Her heart swells hearing that and a smile stretches on her lips, blushing. Rajveer's smile expands seeing her blushing.

Naina slowly looks towards him. He keeps staring her lovingly to know her decision. She gets into his jeep and takes her seat next to him. Placing her belongings on her lap she sighs in relief.

Rajveer, focusing on his driving says,

"Agar pehle hi maan leti to itna bhi nahi chalna parhta."

Naina blushes and looks towards him for some moments, then looks back in front.

"Agar mujhe auto mil jata to apke saath bhi nahi jana parhta.",

she retorts, smiling hesitantly, staring him.

Rajveer looks towards her, serious.

Naina lowers her eyes out of hesitation.

Rajveer focuses back on his driving and asks,

"Kahan rehti hain aap?"

"Ahmm...",

and she tells him where to go, hesitantly, knowing that he didn't like her earlier reply.

"Exams kaise gaye?",

he asks, politely.

"Ahmm... ache gaye.",

Naina says.

Rajveer nods his head into positive.

They stay quiet wondering what to talk to about.

The silence turns awkward, hence Naina decides to initiate another discussion.

"Ahmm... aap konsa subject parhate hain?",

asks Naina, looking towards him.

"Strategies and Communication!",

he states, his eyes on the road.

"Strategies and Communication? Ye kis course ka subject hai?",

asks Naina, knitting her brows, never heard this subject before today.

"NCC 'National Cadet Corps' ke under aata hai ye.",

he informs her.

"Aap soldier hain?",

she asks, surprised.

A smile of pride stretches on his lips.

"Yes!",

he exclaims, proudly.

Naina stares him with great respect.

She gets confused.

"Aap... aap agar soldier hain to yahan kaise? I mean... aise college mein?",

she asks her doubt.

Smiling, Rajveer says,

"I know! Ek soldier ho kar main yahan kya kar raha hun? MA course ke exams mein main kahan se invigilator bann gaya, right?"

Naina smiles awkwardly.

"Well this is my friend's institution, usne pucha ki main volunteer karna chahunga ya nahi...",

Rajveer says, then suddenly rectifies,

"No... actually usne mujhse pucha nahi seedhe kaha ke usne mera naam de dia hai Principal ko ke main invigilator banunga.",

saying so he shakes his head, smiling as he remembers his friend.

Naina laughs too lightly.

"I am actually a teacher, Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat from KMA. Main wahan 'Strategies and Communication' subject parhata hun.",

he lets her know.

Naina smiles, her eyes twinkle,

"Apse ek baat kahun?",

she asks.

"Zarur!",

smiles Rajveer.

"Maine aj tak kabhi kisi soldier se baat nahi ki. But they really fascinate me.",

says Naina, smiling as she drowns into thinking about how soldiers fight for their motherland.

"They have a different aura. A different charm.",

says Naina, thinking about soldiers, smiling.

Rajveer smiles, feeling proud.

They stay quiet for sometime. Naina looks towards him shyly, hesitantly and notices his features. She could see the lines on his face that clearly describe his ageing.

"Left? Right?",

he asks, still staring ahead.

His voice drags her out of her reverie. Smiling she guides him,

"Left!"

"I think I would love to join army.",

says Naina, thinking.

Rajveer looks towards her and smiles.

Taking a deep breath, Rajveer suggests, smiling politely,

"Don't get into conclusion so easily Naina."

Naina turns to look towards him, serious.

"I understand ki apko soldiers fascinate karte hain. But lemme warn you, soldiers ki life lead karna, itna asaan nahi.",

warns Rajveer, politely.

Naina looks towards him, thinking and asks after some moments,

"Apne kaise kiya inn circumstances se deal?"

"Ho jati hai aadat dheere dheere.",

smiles Rajveer.

"Hai na? Mujhe bhi aadat ho jayegi.",

says Naina, confidently.

Rajveer arches a brow, smiling and turns to look towards her.

She quickly adds,

"If I decide to join finally!",

smiles Naina.

Rajveer's smile stretches and he shakes his head into negative.

Soon they reach around her home. She quickly says,

"Bus... bus... bus...!"

Rajveer stops his jeep abruptly.

He looks around, it's a market place.

"Yahan rehti hain aap?",

he asks, quizzically and turns to look towards Naina.

Smiling, collecting her belongings, she indicates him,

"Wo raha mera ghar. Walking distance hai.",

she smiles again.

"To baitho na main chor deta hun.",

says Rajveer, serious.

"Ahun...",

Naina shakes her head into negative, smiling.

Rajveer knits his brows wondering - why?

Naina understanding his gesture, answers his unuttered question, almost like a whisper,

"Koi dekh lega!"

Naina lowers her eyes, smiling a little, hesitantly.

Blush creeps on the faces of both Rajveer and Naina hearing that.

She gets out of the jeep. Rajveer keeps staring her. His heart sinking, knowing that he probably won't see her ever again.

Naina turns to look towards him, all serious.

"Hum dobara kab milenge?",

asks Rajveer, expectantly.

This skips Naina's heartbeat. He wants to meet again!

"Abhi to mujhe bhi nahi pata.",

she says, hesitantly, her voice low, staring him lovingly.

Rajveer keeps staring back.

"Kya mujhe number mil sakta hai tumhara?",

he asks, expectantly.

"Ye galat hai!",

she tries to make him understand, hesitantly.

Rajveer stares her, all serious.

"Kyun?",

asks Rajveer.

"Na aap mujhe theek se jante hain; na main apko.",

says Naina, hesitantly.

"Jaan-pehchan to tabhi hogi na jab hum baat karenge? Milenge-julenge?",

says Rajveer, calmly.

"Aap...",

she begins to say something that get intervened by Rajveer, all serious, he says, looking straight into her eyes,

"Naina, I am not a man of many words. Na hi main kisi ladki ke peeche bhagta hun. Inn sub chakkaron mein parhne ka mujhe kabhi shok nahi tha."

Naina listens to him, looking into his eyes, holding her breath. It feels as if his eyes have arrested her eyes and they are totally at his mercy!

"Shayad isiliye aj tak shadi ke barey mein nahi socha!",

he doesn't hesitate to share this with her as if she had all rights to know all this, since forever!

"Tumse number mangne ke peeche mera koi galat intention nahi hai.",

he tells her clearly.

Naina could feel her cheeks turning warm. She unintentionally has hurt him by her words, she feel regretful.

"Apko number na dene ka matlab ye nahi hai ke main aap par shaq kar rahi hun.",

she clarifies, politely.

"Fir?",

asks Rajveer.

Naina stares him, puzzled. Rajveer stares back.

Sighing, Naina finally gives him her number and in exchange takes his number.

"Bye!",

she bids him goodbye.

"Bye!",

he bids her goodbye.

In the evening, Naina sits on her bed holding her cup of coffee, drinking from it, she checks her mobile and a WhatsApp message flashes up on her screen by an unknown number, reading -

*Hi this is Rajveer!*

The message skips Naina's heartbeat. She blushes reading the message. She reads it almost 7-8 times, controlling her rate of heartbeat before she finally replies.

*Hi! 😊How are you?*,

she replies back.

The moment Rajveer's phone buzzes, while he was talking to Chaubey over the phone, he orders him,

"Ek minute ruko."

He checks the message and a smile stretches on his lips. He doesn't reply back immediately and resumes with the phone call. Having completed his talk wih Chaubey he ends the call and finally opens WhatsApp to read her message properly.

*Hi I am fine. How are you?*,

he replies back.

Naina gets excited on getting a notification of his message. Opening WhatsApp, she finds him online and her smile stretches.

She reads the message and replies,

*There is no harm in using a smilie at the end of the question.*

She doesn't send it immediately, wondering should she send it? Would he feel offended? She bites her lower lip out of nervousness. Smiling she finally decides to send it anyways, thinking that she would deal with consequence anyways.

Reading her message a smile comes on his face.

*😊*,

he sends.

That makes Naina to blush.

Naina plays music in her mobile.

She receives another text from him asking,

*Kya kar rahi ho?*

*Ganey sunn rahi hun. Aap?*

Naina waits for his text, drinking her coffee.

*Newspaper read kar raha hun*,

he replies.

Naina creases her nose on reading that.

*Subah waqt hi nahi milta newspaper read karne ka. Isliye aram se ghar aakar read karta hun.*,

he sends another message.

*Tumne aaj ka news read kiya?*,

he asks.

Naina raises her brows, creasing her nose.

*Ahmm... mujhe newspaper read karna nahi pasand.*,

she says.

*What? Tumhe newspaper read karna nahi pasand? Aur tum army join karna chahti ho?*,

he asks.

Naina could easily realize his disappointment. She creases her nose again.

*Army join karne ka newspaper read karne se kya lena dena?*,

asks Naina, feeling offended.

This makes Rajveer to laugh.

*Arey agar desh mein kya ho raha hai iss barey mein jaankari hi nahi rakhogi to desh ko serve kaise karogi?*,

asks Rajveer.

Naina's heart sinks.

*Aisa kuch nahi hota ke desh ko serve karne ke liye newspaper read karna zaruri ho!🤔*,

she replies.

Rajveer laughs again, especially seeing the last emoji she sends.

*Acha ye batao tumhe kya pasand hai? I mean apart from becoming a soldier. Basically tumhari hobby kya hai?*,

asks Rajveer.

*Mujhe likhna pasand hai.*,

she replies.

That brings a smile on Rajveer's face.

*No wonder tum MA kar rahi ho. 😊*

That makes Naina to blush.

*Naina are you really serious about joining army?*

Reading the message, Naina wonders.

*I guess yes I am!*

*GUESS? No Naina, I want a confident answer!*

Naina gets nervous. She thinks about it again.

*Thodi nervous hun.😛*

This makes Rajveer to smile.

*It's okay! Wo main sambhal lunga!*

*Aap?*

*Hmmm... ab jab zimmedari le li hai tumhari to puri shiddat se nibhaunga.😊*

This makes Naina to blush.

*Thank you. 😊*

*😊*

*This wasn't your number. Jo apne mujhe diya wo nahi hai.*

*Hmm... ye dusra number hai. You can save it if you want. Kept that mobile on charging. Wo official use ke liye hai. Ye personal use ke liye. Family members and all!😊 Jo log close hote hain unke liye hai.😊*

This last line skips Naina's heartbeat.

*Oh! Okay! 😊*

*Kya main apko call kar sakti hun?*,

she asks hesitantly.

Within moments her phone rings and her heart skips another beat.

"Hello!",

she says, nervously.

"Hmm... tum baat karna chahti thi?",

he asks.

Her breath hitches on hearing his voice. Her rate of heartbeat increases. Brush creeps on her cheeks.

"Naina?",

he prompts.

He hears her exhaling and a smile comes on his face.

"You okay?",

he asks.

"Hmm...",

she replies.

"Batao kya baat karni hai?",

he asks, smiling.

"Ahmm...",

she fails to understand what to say; what to talk about.

Rajveer smiles understanding her situation.

"Acha let's start with normal question-answer round",

suggests Rajveer.

"Matlab?",

asks Naina.

"Ahmm... tumhare ghar mein kon kon hain?",

he asks.

"Main, Ma aur Baba!",

she replies.

"Apke?",

asks Naina.

Rajveer smiles, feeling awkward. Although he is habitual to this but each time someone asks this to him he does feel a little awkward while answering.

"Ahmm... meri family mein koi nahi hai Naina!",

he says, hesitantly.

This comes as a surprise for Naina.

"Oh! I... I am sorry.",

she says.

"No, that's fine.",

assures Rajveer.

"Apse ek baat kahun?",

she asks.

And Rajveer could say that she is hiding her blush.

"Haan kaho!",

he says.

"Apki awaz...",

she blushes, laughing softly.

A smile stretches on his lips. He knits his brows whilst smiling, thinking what is going on in her mind!

"What about my voice?",

he asks, hiding his amusement.

"That's... that's...",

she says, unable to form a proper sentence out of hesitation and blush.

"That's what?",

prompts Rajveer, hiding his amusement.

"That's attractive!",

says Naina finally, blushing, closing her eyes tight.

Rajveer smiles at her innocence. He could understand that she is nervous.

"Is it?",

asks Rajveer, teasing her.

"Yani ki... meri awaz sunn kar koi bhi meri taraf attract ho sakta hai?",

asks Rajveer, just to tease her all the more.

"Hmmm?",

he prompts.

"Ahmm... may be!",

she says, her eyes lowered, unable to understand how to deal with this situation.

Rajveer takes a deep breath and stays quiet.

"Kya hua?",

she asks, wondering did she offend him by any means?

"Nothing. Bus soch raha tha.",

says Rajveer.

"Kya?",

asks Naina.

"Konsi konsi ladki meri taraf attract hui hogi!",

he says, teasingly.

Blush creeps on Naina's face, but she doesn't understand why she didn't like his saying so.

"Kyun, kya apko kabhi kisi ne kuch kaha nahi?",

she asks, her eyes lowered, as if he is standing in front of her.

Rajveer knits his brows, smiling lightly,

"Matlab? Kon kya kahega?",

he asks, confused.

"Ki kon apko pasand kar raha hai... kon apke saath waqt bitana chahta hai...",

she says, hesitantly still. Not feeling really good about what she is asking.

Rajveer smiles a little and says,

"Nahi Naina! Main itna free nahi hun kisi ke saath ke koi mere barey mein aisa kuch soche bhi to wo mujhe akar batane ki himmat kare."

"Pata hai!",

she mummers.

Rajveer doesn't fail to listen to her and that amuses him and he asks,

"Kya?",

as if he couldn't hear her.

"Kuch nahi!",

she says, her eyes lowered.

Rajveer smiles.

"So kya kya read kiya newspaper mein?",

she asks, uninterested.

Rajveer arches a brow, smiling infectiously, knowing that she doesn't have any interest in reading newspaper.

"Good try!",

he smiles, teasingly.

"Matlab?",

she asks, amused.

He stays quiet, thinking. Then says,

"Iss age gap ko kabhi bhar nahi paogi tum Naina!"

Naina's heart skips a beat. Her smile fades, she thinks deep.

"Bharna zaruri hai kya?",

she asks, after thinking.

Her reply swells Rajveer's heart. A smile stretches on his lips again, feeling relaxed.

"Thinking clashes hongi.",

he warns her.

"Apne ye sub pehle kyun nahi socha? Mujhse number mangne se pehle?",

asks Naina, serious.

"Nahi Naina... tum mujhe galat samjh rahi ho.",

he says, politely.

Naina sits straight, giving her full attention to him.

"Main bus tumhe bata raha hun. I don't wanna force you for anything.",

he says, genuinely.

Naina stays quiet. She understands.

"I guess koi bhi rishta ho, chahe friends ho, parents and bachey hon, thinking clashes to har jagah hoti hain na?",

asks Naina.

Rajveer smiles and says,

"Ye tum mujhe mat batao. Khud socho. Kal shayad ye baat mujhe tumhe yaad dilani parhe, when you might try to say it a quit!"

"Kya main apko itni bachi lagti hun?",

asks Naina, sad.

"Naina baat bachpane ki nahi hai.",

he tries to explain her.

"Baat hai patience and preference ki.",

he says.

Naina pays attention, all serious.

"No wonder tumhari aur meri kayi baatein alag hongi. Ho sakta hai mere tajurbe ki wajah se at times I show immense patience and tum shayad impatient ho jao. Aur shayad kuch mamlon mein main impatient ho jaun aur tum patience rakho.",

he tries to explain.

Naina takes a deep breath, understanding his point.

"Kya tum mera saath de paugi tab?",

asks Rajveer.

Naina ponders into his words.

"As I said earlier that I am a man of few words. I really am! Main jo aj tumhare samne apne aap ko itna explain kar raha hun trust me it seems to be a surprise to me. Main nahi karta khud ko explain itna kisi ke samne. But with you... I don't know ek baar sub kuch keh dena chahta hun. Agey tum jo faisla karogi main manlunga bina kisi shikayat ke.",

he says.

Naina takes her time to reply, thinking, pondering into his words.

"Apko pata hai, main bhi apki tarah hun.",

she says, calmly.

"Really? Wo kaise?",

asks Rajveer, finding it interesting.

"Main bhi zada nahi bolti.",

says Naina, calmly, sorrowfully.

"Kyun?",

he asks.

"I mean tum young ho, abhi kisi job mein bhi nahi lagi, carefree hona chahiye tumhe to?",

says Rajveer, knitting his brows, intruiged.

Naina takes a deep breath.

"Young hun! But carefree nahi!",

she says.

"Responsibilities kab kis age mein aa jaye, iska kisi ko nahi pata hota.",

says Naina, sadly.

"Kaisi responsibilities?",

asks Rajveer.

"Family ki!",

says Naina.

"I mean I guess I am over protective may be. Isliye carefree nahi ho pati.",

smiles Naina.

"Jab ladkiyan boyfriends dhundhti thi; unke saath time spend karti thi, main ghar mein hi rehti thi. College se ghar; ghar se college.",

says Naina.

Rajveer smiles, understanding.

"Kyun? Kabhi koi pasand nahi aya ya itne ladke pasand aye ke choose hi nahi kar pa rahi thi ke kisey chunu?",

he teases, smiling.

Naina laughs a little hearing that.

Rajveer laughs too.

"Ahmm... just attraction and all nothing serious.",

smiles Naina.

"Hmm...",

says Rajveer, keeping it short.

He goes quiet.

"Kya hua?",

asks Naina.

"Soch raha tha ke hum bheed mein bhi apne jaise logo ko dhundh hi lete hain.",

says Rajveer, smiling.

"True!",

smiles Naina, wondering.

The doorbell rings. Naina quickly says,

"Acha chaliye ab main rakhti hun. Koi aya hai shayad."

"Theek hai. Bye!",

says Rajveer.

"Bye!",

smiles Naina and ends the call.

2. Shopping Time

Next morning Naina sends him a good morning text on Whatsapp.

*Good Morning.*

*Itni subah msg? Main so rha hu Naina.*

*Arey? Subah ke nau (9) baj rahe hain aur aap so rahe hain?*

*Haan*

*To uthenge kab?*

*Jb neend khulegi. Stop msgin now. Msg k noty ki wajah se so bih nih ap ra*

*so bih nih ap ra? *

*You mean so bhi nhi pa raha?*

*Type karna sikha dun teacher ji?*

This brings a smile on his face. With drowsy eyes, he replies,

*Sikhao!*

The reply skips Naina's heartbeat and she blushes.

*Chaliye ye message theek likha hai. I am sure ab aap jug gye honge. Main apse baad mein baat karti hun.*

*To tumne bus mujhe jagane ke liye message kiya tha?*

*To aur kya karna tha?*

*Mujhe laga kuch IMPORTANT baat karni hai.*,

he types sitting up on his bed.

*Apse kya important baat karungi?*

This makes Rajveer to widen his eyes out of surprise. He blushes.

*Theek hai fir bye!*

*Bye!*

Rajveer shakes his head into negative. Putting his mobile at the side table he gets up.

After getting ready, he goes for a jog.

On the other hand Naina prepares breakfast for her family. Does some other house chores.

After sometime, she whilst walking towards the door, informs her parents,

"Ma main baazar ja rahi hun. Friends ke saath hongi."

Soon she reaches her friends and enjoy a little chit-chat. They decide to have golgappas.

Standing in front of the golgappa stand she was about to have her first golgappa that her phone buzzes.

The name flashing on the screen brings a smile on her face. Picking up she greets him,

"Hello!",

smiling.

"Tumhe golgappa pasand hai?",

asks Rajveer.

"Maine hello kaha to aap uske badle - hello, hi kuch to bol sakte hain na?",

she asks, keeping her voice low, not wanting her friends to hear.

Rajveer shuts his eyes tight and blushes.

"Hi!",

he greets, smiling.

Naina smiles.

"Ji, mujhe golgappa pasand hai. In fact main abhi...",

as she was about to continue, a thought comes to her mind and her heart skips a beat.

"Aap...",

she nervously looks around, but out nervousness and excitement her vision goes almost blur.

"A..p...k...o.. kaise pata?",

she asks skeptically, hoping that whatever she is thinking doesn't turn true.

"Warna tum mujhe chor kar aise akele golgappa nahi khati! Zarur bohot pasand honge.",

he says, smiling.

Naina goes crimson red. She blushes profusely and tries to locate his presence around herself.

Her friends engrossed in their chats don't pay attention to her and hence she gets saved from their questions.

"Kahan hain aap?",

she asks, sweetly.

Smiling, he says,

"Relax. Tum enjoy karo apni friends ke saath. Hum baad mein baat karte hain."

"Par... I mean mujhe koi problem nahi hai. Main aa jaungi apke paas.",

she says.

Hearing that Rajveer asks,

"Kitne paas aa sakti ho tum mere?"

His sudden bold question skips Naina's heartbeat. Her cheeks start emitting heat at a high degree. She looks towards her friends nervously.

"Matlab?",

she asks, lowering her voice, out of nervousness.

Rajveer understands that she has understood! Maintaining his tone, he asks,

"Main tumhe lene aun ya tum khud aa jaugi? Tumhare samne dekho meri jeep khadi hai."

She then finally locates him as he guides her and her heart skips on seeing him sitting at the driver's seat.

"Main aa jaungi!",

she says, staring him.

"Intezaar kar raha hun!",

he says, staring her back, making her feel all the more vulnerable.

Naina ends the call and shakes her head, blushing. Rajveer smiles staring her.

Naina turns to her friends and says,

"Mujhe zara zaruri kaam se jana hai. Main baad mein milti hun."

Then she turns towards the shopkeeper and asks for two golgappas.

Walking ahead she crosses the road to reach Rajveer who is waiting for her in his jeep at the other side of the road.

Rajveer opens the door of the jeep for her. Smiling she climbs in. Rajveer asks her,

"Golgappa?"

"Apke liye.",

she says.

"Main nahi khata.",

he tells her politely.

Naina's face falls on hearing that.

"Oh!",

she says.

Rajveer smiles a little, staring her.

"Ek try kar lijiye?",

requests Naina, hopefully.

Rajveer shakes his head into negative, smiling.

"Okay! No problem.",

she says.

She was about to throw it away that Rajveer realizes what she is about to do and asks in horror,

"Kya kar rahi ho?"

"Apko nahi khana na?",

says Naina, looking towards him, skeptically.

"To matlab fek dogi?",

asks Rajveer, scolding mildly.

Naina stares him confused.

"Tum kha lo!",

he says.

"Ahm... okay...",

she says and finishes both the pieces quickly and throws the container away.

"Naina bahar kyun fenka?",

asks Rajveer, irritated.

"To? Kya karna tha?",

asks Naina, surprised on hearing his question. Her heart thumping inside her chest, wondering what was she supposed to do.

Shutting his eyes he takes a deep breath, opening them he says,

"Wahan dustbin hai. Tum wahan fek sakti thi."

Naina looks towards him with knitted brows.

Rajveer stares back with knitted brows too.

Shutting his eyes he sighs. Opening them he apologizes,

"I am sorry! I am a cleanliness freak!"

He shakes his head, clearing his mind.

Naina with her mouth opened into an 'O' nods her head into positive, slowly.

"Main... ja kar... utha dun?",

she asks, hesitantly.

"No it's okay!",

he says.

He climbs down the jeep, picking up her container he throws it into the dustbin.

Naina's eyes follow his each move, sitting inside the jeep.
She observes and tries to learn more about him.

Climbing up the jeep, soon he commences with the driving.

"Aap mujhe follow kar rahe the?",

asks Naina, narrowing her eyes on him.

This comes as a surprise for him.

"What?",

he asks, shocked, finding it ridiculous, his eyes still on the road.

By the tone of his Naina understands that she has mistaken in understanding him.

Her voice turns soft out of guilt.

"Fir aap yahan?"

"Ohooo... to tumhe ye lagta hai ke main tumhara peecha karte karte yahan aya hun?",

asks Rajveer, taunting her.

Naina's heart sinks hearing that.

"Fir?",

she asks, apologetically.

Rajveer brings out a paper from his pocket and hands it over to her.

Naina looks at it skeptically.

"Ye kya hai?",

she asks, whilst opening it.

She checks it and asks looking towards him, puzzled,

"Apke paas ye female cosmetics ki list kya kar rahi hai?"

"Khareedni hai mujhe!",

he says.

"What?",

she asks, shocked.

"Meri ek colleague-cum-friend hain unke liye.",

says Rajveer.

"Oh! To unhone apko kyun diya ye?",

she asks.

"Trust me Naina jabse diya hai tabse main bhi unse yahi puchta ja raha hun ke mujhe kyun diya kisi aur ko de detin.",

he rolls his eyes.

Naina still stares him, feeling weird.

Smiling, he lets her know,

"Actually she is a dear friend of mine. Dr. Shalini. Doctor hone ki wajah se academy se zyada bahar ja nahi pati. Aye din koi na koi kaam aahi jata hai. So wo mujhse keh deti hain aise chote-mote kaam. Mujhe jab time milta hai main le aata hun. Yahan aa raha tha to tab ye thama diya mere haath mein.",

Rajveer smiles fondly, thinking about Dr. Shalini.

"That's so sweet.",

smiles Naina.

Rajveer smiles.

"Koi cosmetic ki dukan mil jaye wohi dhundhte dhundhte guzar raha tha ke tum dikh gayi.",

smiles Rajveer.

Naina lowers her eyes, smiling.

"Ahmm... yahan se left lijiye.",

she guides him the way to a cosmetic shop.

Together they buy cosmetics for Dr. Shalini.

"Ahmm... Naina red lipstick likha hai but red mein bhi kitne shades hain.",

says Rajveer, confused, looking towards array of red lipsticks.

Sighing, he says,

"I can't believe main ye sub kar raha hun."

"Relax!",

says Naina and applies a little of a few shades of red on the back of her hand and asks him which one is looking better.

"Konsa acha lag rha hai?",

she asks, smiling.

"Are you serious? Tum mujhse puch rahi ho?",

asks Rajveer, looking towards her with knitted brows.

Naina looks here and there, turning around, then looks back towards him again and asks,

"Aur koi hai kya humare saath?"

Rajveer's heart skips a beat and he knits his brows, glaring her.

Naina rolls her eyes and asks,

"Bataiye konsa acha lag raha hai?"

"Naina main kaise bata sakta hun? Frankly mere liye to sarey shades hi same hai. Isse easy options to NCC ke course ke entrance test mein tha.",

Rajveer rolls his eyes.

"Ek kaam karo, tum ladkiyan karti ho na 'inky-pinky ponky' whatever, wo karke dekh lo.",

he suggests, seriously.

As much as that makes Naina to go little angry, but it does amuse her too.

Rajveer looks towards her and his heart skips a beat on finding her glaring him.

"What?",

asks Rajveer.

"Apko ye bhi pata hai ke hum ladkiyan jab confuse hoti hain to kya karti hain?",

she asks, smiling naughtily.

"Dr. Shalini karti hain!",

he states, smiling sarcastically, staring Naina.

That makes Naina to laugh.

Naina focuses back on deciding and chooses one shade finally.

"Hmm... ye acha hai.",

she says smiling.

"Okay!",

he takes it without caring to check which shade she has chosen.

"Arey dekh to lijiye.",

says Naina.

"Never mind. I am sure acha hi hoga.",

says Rajveer and keeps it in front of the shopkeeper.

"Ek aur shade hai. Number diya hua hai.",

he says and asks the shopkeeper for the shade.

He checks it and expression of distaste comes on his face.

"Kitna dark hai ye!",

he exclaims.

"To?",

asks Naina, surprised.

"Light shades are more decent.",

he says, as a matter of fact.

"What? Ye kya baat hui? Subka apna apna taste hota hai.",

says Naina, disagreeing.

"Yani tumhe dark shades pasand hain?",

asks Rajveer, serious.

"Nahi aisa nahi hai. Mujhe to dono hi theek lagte hain. Depend karta hai ke kis dress ke saath put kar rahi hun.",

says Naina.

"I believe jitna light shades use karein aurtein utni hi wo decent lagti hain. Dark shades I feel aurtein sirf attraction seek karne ke liye lagati hain.",

says Rajveer and rolls his eyes.

Naina purses her lips finding him adorable when he is pissed off over this minute thing.

Staring him, smiling a little, as a naughty thought enters her mind, she says,

"A..actually I'll buy one for myself.",

saying so she turns to select one for herself.

"I'll take this one.",

smiles Naina, selecting a dark shade.

Rajveer initially doesn't realize that she has chosen a dark shade.

"Dikhao konsa hai.",

saying so he checks it.

"Ye! Itna dark!",

exclaims Rajveer, showing his disapproval.

Naina smiles and pats her eyelashes, innocently.

"Dark kahan hai? I am gonna buy this!",

she says, taking it away from his hand.

"Nahi Naina tum ye nahi le rahi.",

he says, plainly.

"Kyun?",

asks Naina, knitting her brows.

"Pay main kar dungi.",

says Naina, intentionally, smiling.

Rajveer gives her a look that tells - stop being stupid.

"It's not about money!",

he scolds her.

"Fir?",

she asks innocently.

"Tum par ye suit nahi karega!",

he says.

"Arey abhi jab main apki friend ke liye apse suggestion maang rahi thi apne aise mujhe dekha jaise maine apse pata nahi kitna difficult question puch liya hai. Aur ab jab apse nahi puch rahi to aap suggestion de rahe hain?",

says Naina, hiding her amusement.

Rajveer narrows his eyes on her. Naina lowers her eyes feeling hesitant.

"Main suggestion nahi de raha, main bol raha hun tumhe ke TUM NAHI KHAREED RAHI YE!",

he says, sternly.

Naina shakes her head and keeps it back.

"Koi aur le lo!",

he offers, turning a little polite as she keeps it back.

"Nahi it's okay.",

smiles Naina.

"Naina...",

he says politely, his voice low.

That makes Naina's cheeks to warm up.

Rajveer waits for her to look towards him. Naina looks towards him. He politely says, his voice still low,

"Gussa ho?"

Naina shakes her head into negative, staring him, smiling politely.

Rajveer pays for the things they buy and they head towards his jeep.

They settle in the jeep and Rajveer starts driving.

"Hum kahan ja rahe hain?",

asks Naina.

"Aise hi ghum rahe hain leisurely.",

says Rajveer.

"Tumhe kahin jana hai?",

asks Rajveer.

Naina shakes her head into negative.

"Apna mobile dikhao!",

says Rajveer, his eyes on the road as he is driving.

He extends his left hand, controlling the steering wheel with his right.

"Mobile? Kyun?",

asks Naina.

"Dikhao Naina!",

says Rajveer.

Naina hands him her phone.

Rajveer checks and asks,

"Password kya hai?"

"Ab main password bhi bataun apko?",

asks Naina, staring him unable to believe.

"To?",

asks Rajveer, knitting his brows.

Naina rolls her eyes and tells him anyways.

He quickly searches something and gives the mobile back to her, focusing back on his driving.

Naina looks at what it is.

"Ye lo ye form hai KMA ka bharlo.",

says Rajveer.

A smile comes on Naina's face.

Naina looks towards him, her eyes filled with admiration for him.

"Ghar mein bhi batana hoga subko.",

she says suddenly, nervously.

Rajveer thinks about it and says,

"Theek hai. Tum fir ghar mein baat kar lena. Fir bhar dena."

"Thank you.",

smiles Naina.

Rajveer smiles and looks towards Naina for fraction of seconds then focuses back on his driving.

"Iss mein thank you bolne ki koi baat nahi hai Naina.",

smiles Rajveer.

A car happens to cross by them in full speed.

"Aaj kal ke youngsters bhi. Pata nahi apni zindagi ke saath khelne mein kya maza aata hai? Aur itna hi hai to army mein hi chale jayein. Agar jaan gawane ka itna shok hai to desh ke liye hi nyochawar karein, desh ki bhi madad ho jayegi. Par nahi inhe to bus zindagi mauj-masti se beetani hai!",

curses Rajveer.

Naina stays quiet but accepts what he says.

"Apko pata hai maine kabhi ye cheez feel nahi kiya.",

she says.

"Kya?",

asks Rajveer, knitting his brows, wondering what is she talking about.

"Tez gadi chalana ya uss mein baithna aur feel karna kya hota hai.",

smiles Naina, hesitantly.

Rajveer doesn't look towards her. He gears up the speed. As a result of which Naina feels a sudden jerk and as a reflex action her hand falls on his thigh to steady herself. This sudden touch comes as a surprise for both Rajveer and Naina as it was absolutely unintentional. Naina quickly takes away her hand from upon his thigh, looking towards him nervously.

Rajveer doesn't look towards her as he is busy driving in full speed but the deep breath he takes tells Naina perfectly about his condition.

Naina laughs enjoying the ride. She doesn't ask him to slow down. This reality swells Rajveer's heart.

"Ab mujhe such mein lag raha hai tum soldier banne ke liye hi bani ho.",

says Rajveer, excited, his voice high to make himself audible over the loud sound of the engine.

Naina laughs enjoying the ride. The wind messes her hair. She holds it to control it from messing further. Her eyes brim with tears of joy as she feels the adrenaline rush because of the speed and Rajveer's enthusiasm.

Rajveer takes a sudden sharp turn making her to almost bump into him. This skips Naina's heartbeat as well as Rajveer's too. Naina widens her eyes. She quickly settles back and says,

"Aap... I mean I am enjoying this but please dheere chalaiye ab."

"Kyun darr lag raha hai?",

asks Rajveer.

"Haan... actually... thoda sa...",

blushes Naina.

Rajveer laughs at that. Naina blushes all the more. Rajveer applies a sudden break making her to jerk.

"Are you fine?",

asks Rajveer, laughing a little, as he stops the jeep.

"Tha..t.. that was fun!",

says Naina, trying to recover from the shock.

Rajveer feels glad to hear that. He smiles seeing her, while Naina laughs, engrossed in the feeling. Rajveer doesn't make any effort to drag her out of the feeling.

(Rajveer-Naina happy tune begins)

Resting back on her seat, Naina turns to look towards Rajveer and finds him staring her lovingly. Naina smiles back.

Naina in a low voice, making the moment all the more intimate, asks him,

"Iske badle main apko kya de sakti hun?"

Rajveer knits his brows, her words coming as a surprise for him. He notices her eyes are on the verge of having tears. Her face glowing out of the adrenaline rush.

"Iske badle?",

asks Rajveer, surprised.

Naina keeps staring him, smiling.

"Naina ye maine isliye nahi kiya kyunki mujhe tumse iske badle kuch chahiye.",

states Rajveer, knitting his brows lightly, a little smile of amazement on his face.

Naina gets all the more emotional but controls her emotions anyways.

They stare each other. Their stare turning dark and possessive on each other with each passing moment.

"Aur agar tum mujhe kuch dena chahti ho, to main tumhe bata dun ke tum mujhe already bohot kuch de chuki ho.",

he tells her, his voice low and soft.

Naina knits her brows, wondering what has she given to him?

"Apna waqt!",

his words skip Naina's heartbeat and her skin warms up all the more.

"Ye hansi!",

he tells, his voice turning all the more possessive.

"Tumhara saath!",

he tells, staring her throughout.

Naina keeps staring, her eyes turning serious.

(Slow Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

They realize where this situation is leading towards, hence they quickly lower their eyes, looking away, feeling awkward.

Naina with her eyes lowered out of hesitation says,

"Ahmm... mujhe ab ghar chor denge aap please. Bohot der ho chuki hai."

Rajveer doesn't reply immediately, staring her throughout. Naina slowly looks towards him, staring him back possessively.

Lowering his eyes, he nods his head into positive.

He rides to her home and stops his jeep where he stopped the last time. Having stopped the ignition, he looks towards Naina. Naina slowly looks towards him. Both the pairs of eyes don't want to leave the other.

Unable to bear this frustration, Naina rests back her head against the seat, her face turned to her front, she takes a deep breath. Rajveer too rests back on his seat, not making any effort to ask her to leave.

Both of them remain quiet, none saying anything. Rajveer gives her full liberty to speak when she wishes to speak, understanding her emotions.

Naina turns towards him, still resting back on her seat, her body and face turned towards him. Rajveer, turns his face towards her, all serious, his hands on his steering wheel.

"Kya karenge aap ab ja kar?",

asks Naina, softly.

That reminds him of the official works he has to deal with after returning back to his rented house. Taking a deep breath out of tiredness on remembering his work, he says,

"Hmm... academy ke kuch official documents check karne hain online. Hectic hai."

"Official documents check karne hain ya newspaper read karna hai?",

asks Naina, pursing her lips.

Rajveer's heart skips a beat. He widens his eyes, smiling in shyness, he looks towards her and she breaks into a fit of laughter.

Rajveer blushes, laughing a little.

"Paper work ke baad newspaper read karunga!",

he lets her know, smiling, staring her.

Naina laughs a little more.

"Tum kya karogi?",

asks Rajveer.

"Abhi to I am feeling very tired, to jakar ek acha sa bath lungi.",

she smiles.

Rajveer stares her, smiling possessively.

Naina lowers her eyes out of hesitation.

Rajveer realizes that he is staring her, he quickly lowers his eyes. Then looks back again towards her for some moments to make sure that she is fine.

"I guess tumhe ab chalna chahiye.",

he suggests, understanding that they should not stay together for long as something is definitely changing between them! He doesn't want to tresspass by any means.

Naina lowers her eyes on hearing that, feeling a little guilty. Nodding her eyes into affirmative, she climbs down his jeep.

"Thanks Naina shopping mein help karne ke liye.",

he says.

"That's absolutely fine. You don't have to be formal.",

smiles Naina.

Rajveer smiles back.

"Ahmm... bye!",

smiles Naina.

"Bye!",

smiles Rajveer.

After making sure that Naina has reached her house safely, Rajveer leaves.

3. Rag Rag Mein Ganga

Naina rings the doorbell of her home. As soon as her mother opens the door, by the look on her face Naina understands that it's the same old thing!

Shutting the door, whilst removing her footwear, Naina asks,

"Ab kya hua?"

Naina's mother takes a deep breath, shaking her head.

"Bus itna kaha tha ke phone ka bill bharna hai cheque bana dena. Aaj last date thi. Ab kal extra cost bhi dena hoga. Itna nahi kar payi tum?",

shouts Naina's father, standing in the drawing room of their home.

Naina takes a deep breath, lowering her eyes she shakes her head and leaves for her room.

"Main ghar mein free nahi baithi rehti! Dhero kaam parhe rehte hain.",

retorts Naina's mother, raising her voice, reaching her father.

"Kya kaam karti ho? Sirf serials hi to dekhne hote hain.",

shouts her father.

His words irk Naina as much they irk her mother. But she stays quiet, closing the door of her room.

"Sirf serials dekhti rehti hun? Khana to khud bann jata hai na?",

asks her mother out of anger.

"To main bhi to free nahi rehta. Janti ho dimag mein koi na koi tension rehta hai. Naina ki parhayi; Naina ka future; uski shadi.",

shouts her father.

"Unn tensions se kya hoga? Uske liye tumhe kuch karna hoga. Sirf tension lene se mushkilein hal nahi hoti. Insurance and all ke barey mein soch kar kuch nahi milta uske liye kuch karna parhta hai, jo tumse to mujhe nahi lagta hone wala hai.",

retorts her mother.

"Tumse mujhe kuch baat hi nahi karni.",

shouts her father and walks to the kitchen to place back his empty glass after drinking water, out of anger. In the process he by mistake kicks the dustbin lightly and some litter gets split.

This raises Naina's mother's anger.

"Ab aur kaam barha diya!",

she taunts.

Out of anger, Naina's father collects the litter back in the dustbin whilst asking,

"Ye kuda kya sajane ke liye rakha hai? Kudey wale ko kyun nahi deti?"

"Koi shok nahi hai mujhe aise rakhne ka. Aaj aya nahi kuda lene main kya karun?",

shouts her mother.

Out of anger, Naina's father picks up the dustbin.

"Ab kya kar rahe hain aap?",

shouts her mother.

Naina gets out of her room to see what's happening, knitting her brows, nervous and angry.

Walking to the balcony, he throws the wastes down which get flowed away with the sewage.

"Baba ye kya kiya apne?",

shouts Naina, pissed off!

"Kya kiya kya kuda ghar se bahar fenka!",

shouts her father out of anger.

"Aap jaise logo ke wajah se hi iss desh ki tarakki nahi hoti!",

shouts Naina, pissed off.

"Arey iss mein tarakki ki kya baat hai?",

asks her father, raising his voice.

Naina doesn't wait to listen to him and leaves for her room out of anger.

Her parents continue with their argument.

Inside her room, locking the door, Naina puts her belongings at a corner. Frustrated she sits on her bed and in no time tears roll down her cheeks. She cries bitterly yet silently, not wanting her family to know that she is crying.

She was so damn happy, relaxed after spending quality time with Rajveer. She wanted to enter her room and cherish those moments but alas, when has her family given her the opportunity to feel free and light hearted?

The two extreme emotions when meet her up together, it becomes unbearable for her to tolerate. This is the reason she is indulging herself more into studies to keep her mind distracted from these daily arguments of her parents. If it happens sometimes, it's fine but when it becomes a routine, it starts suffocating you.

Sitting on her bed out of irritation Naina picks up her phone. She thinks of messaging Rajveer, but she keeps back her phone thinking - telling him won't solve her issue. And when he wasn't there in her life she used to deal with this all by herself so why today is she feeling the need to tell him? No, she won't tell him anything and disturb his mental peace too!

She rests her head against the bed post and closes her eyes, tear rolls down her cheeks afresh. She desperately wants to run to him as she finds solace in his presence. But she knows this is no solution to her problems. And how can it be right that to find solace she would burden up him with all her tensions?

Naina opens up the admission form in her mobile and takes a deep breath thinking that she had planned to talk about it to her parents after returning back but this whole fiasco had made her planning to go for a toss!

She sighs and closes her eyes to find some peace.

Her mother knocks the door of her room. Naina opens her eyes and realizes that the argument has finished or may be has gone for a rest as for now. Taking a deep breath Naina opens the door and finds her mother standing there. Keeping the door open for her to enter Naina goes back to her bed.

Reaching her, her mother sits on the bed and asks her lovingly,

"Chaye bana dun?"

"Nahi Ma mann nahi hai.",

says Naina, disinterested in anything and everything.

Her mother looks around her room and says,

"Kya haalat bana kar rakha hai apne room ka Naina!"

"Ma main abhi ayi hun isliye thoda idhar udhar hai sub kuch. Kar lungi theek thodi der mein.",

says Naina.

"Acha ye bata kya kya khareeda tu ne?",

asks her mother, smiling lovingly.

Naina resting her head against the bed post, her eyes closed, says,

"Kuch nahi!"

"Kyun? Mujhe to laga tu bohot sari shopping karke ayegi?",

says her mother, smiling.

Naina opens her eyes and looks towards her mother,

"Aap jante ho na ke main shopping wagerah zada nahi karti?"

Naina's mother lowers her eyes, smiling sadly she says,

"Haan janti hun. Aur ye bhi janti hun ke kyun nahi karti!"

Naina's heart skips a beat and she looks towards her mother.

"Tu tere Baba aur mere roz ke jhik-jhik se pareshan ho gayi hai na? Isliye mann nahi lagta na tera kahin?",

her mother asks, her eyes turning teary.

Naina looks towards her mother, feeling sorry for her.

"Maaa... Ma please!",

Naina hugs her mother to calm her down.

Leaving her, she tries to assure her,

"Ma jaisa tum soch rahi ho aisi koi baat nahi hai."

"Tum bekar mein aisi baatein soch kar tension le rahi ho.",

says Naina, knitting her brows out of concern.

"Tu na bus parhayi khatam kar aur shadi karle.",

says her mother.

Shivers run down her spine.

"Ma! Aap... aap ye kaisi baatein kar rahi hain?",

says Naina, knitting her brows.

"Kyun kya galat kaha maine?",

asks her mother, staring her.

"Ma aap achi tarah janti hai mujhe inn shadi-wadi ke chakkaron mein nahi parhna please.",

says Naina, getting irritated.

"Kya matlab shadi nahi karni? Shadi to karni hi hai Naina ek din!",

says her mother.

"Kyun? Aisa kahan likha hai ke har ladki ko shadi karna zaruri hai?",

asks Naina.

"Shadi to karni hogi Naina. Aur main yahi chahti hun ke tu jald se jald shadi karle taki tu tere Baba aur meri ladayi ke beech aur na pisey!",

says her mother, sadly.

This irritates her.

"Oh god Ma! Aap please... please meri shadi ki baat mat kariye. Main shadi nahi karne wali. Aur... aur aap dono ko akela chor kar jaungi? Taki aap dono aram se yahan larh sako? No ways!",

says Naina.

"Dekha! Yahi baat hai na? Pata tha mujhe.",

says her mother, sadly.

"Ma... Ma please. Haan ye ek reason hai. Par main baat ye nahi hai.",

says Naina, pissed off.

Her mother stares her with sorrowful eyes.

"Bhaiya ke jane ke baad aap dono ki zimmedari mujh par hai. Main aise situation mein shadi karna to durr shadi ke barey mein sochna bhi nahi chahti.",

says Naina, out of anger.

Her mother cries all the more.

"Ma please ab aap ye apni aankhon se Ganga-Jamuna bahana band karo.",

says Naina, pissed off.

"Main bus tujhe khush dekhna chahti hun Naina!",

says her mother, crying.

"Main khush hun...",

she trails off, frustrated.

She takes a deep breath, controlling her frustration. Calming down a little she says again,

"Main khush hun Ma! Yakeen mano aap dono se durr jaungi to khush nahi rahungi. Yahan khush hun main."

"Yahan khush hai tu?",

asks her mother, knitting her brows.

Naina stares her, serious.

"Kamse kam ye jhoot to mat bol mujhse Naina.",

says her mother.

Naina rolls her eyes at this.

"Ma mera sir dard se fata ja raha hai. Mere liye please ek cup chai bana doge?",

requests Naina, trying to bring this topic to an end.

"Haan chai mujhe bhi peene ka mann kar raha hai. Mera bhi sir dard ho raha hai.",

says her mother.

"Abhi banati hun chai.",

saying so her mother gets up to leave.

As she turns to leave Naina looks towards her sadly. She finds herself in a dilemma. She wants to discuss about KMA with her mother. But by the current scenario and the way her mother's thoughts are proceeding towards, Naina gets nervous, knowing that discussing about her plan with them would only be an invitation to yet another argument! Which initially would start from Naina and her mother but soon will end up into yet another argument between her parents, because that is exactly what happens each time she demands something out of box from them!

She shuts the door after her mother leaves. Unable to control her frustration any longer, she calls Rajveer up.

"Hello!",

says Rajveer.

His tone skips Naina's heartbeat, he seems to be pissed off, she can tell by his tone.

"Ahmm... Hi. Kya kar rahe hain aap?",

asks Naina, politely, nervously.

She hears him taking a deep breath.

"Kuch nahi thoda kaam kar raha tha.",

says Rajveer, his tone still pissed off.

"Kya hum kuch der baat kar sakte hain?",

she asks, nervously, knowing that something is definitely amiss at his side.

"Haan Naina bolo.",

he says and she understands that he is trying to be polite to her.

"Aap bahar hain?",

she asks as she could hear the sounds of people and vehicles around him, clearly giving her a picture that he is outside.

She hears him opening a door without replying to her and entering into a quieter area.

"Nahi!",

he says finally.

Her heart skips a beat. She realizes that he has just entered his house but the fact that he didn't reply earlier as he didn't want to lie to her touches her heart.

"Aap abhi bahar se aye na?",

asks Naina, politely.

"Hmmm...",

he says.

"To jhoot kyun kaha?",

asks Naina.

"Jhoot kahan kaha? Ghar mein ghus kar hi kaha ke main bahar nahi hun.",

he says, smiling a little.

Naina smiles and shakes her head.

"Kya hua?",

asks Naina, feeling something odd.

"Koi problem hai?",

asks Naina, nervously.

"Ye aaj kal ke sweepers na kya bolun. Ghar ke bahar itna kachra parha rehta hai. Teen-chaar din tak wo waisa hi rahega. Kabhi kabhi to usse bhi zyada. Fir neeche kitni baar maine inhe naali mein aise hi dump karte hue dekha hai. Desh ko saaf rakhne ka theka kisi ek ne nahi liya hua. It should be a joint effort. But ab ye baat inhe kon samjhaye? Inn sweepers ko to bus apna bojha halka karna hota hai humare ghar ke samne se kuda uthalo fir jahan marzi fek do, dekhne kon aa raha hai? Aur dekh bhi liya, to bolne kon aa raha hai? Abhi dant laga kar aya.",

says Rajveer, pissed off.

Naina takes a deep breath but doesn't reply.

Rajveer who had expected an immediate and revolting reply from Naina finds her silence surprising and disturbing.

"Kya hua?",

he asks, politely.

"Nahi kuch nahi. Aap batao!",

smiles Naina.

"Kya bataun?",

asks Rajveer, taking a deep breath, politely.

"Abhi kuch din pehle ek show shuru hua 2nd February ko 'Rag Rag Mein Ganga'. Kafi acha show hai.",

says Rajveer, calmly.

"Hmm... dekha maine. Indeed bohot acha laga mujhe. I am looking forward to watching further episodes.",

smiles Naina.

"To isliye aap mein suddenly swachchata ka keeda uchla hai?",

asks Naina, smiling.

Rajveer blushes hearing that.

"Nahi Naina aisi koi baat nahi hai but yes it's a nice initiative. Inn band dimag logo ko aise shows dekhne ki bohot zarurat hai. Safai Ganga ki ho ya apne aas paas ki safai is safai aur subko cleanliness freak hona chahiye.",

he says, pissed off and sighs as he completes his line.

"Hmm... apki tarah!",

says Naina, smiling.

Rajveer blushes again and sits on his sofa.

"Kitna gussa bhara hai na aap mein?",

asks Naina.

This comes as a surprise for Rajveer. His heart skips a beat.

"Ye tum kaise keh sakti ho?",

asks Rajveer, enjoying this.

"Hmm... exam mein bhi apko mujh par gussa aya tha!",

she reminds, politely.

Rajveer smiles and says,

"Tum harkatein hi aisi kar rahi thi."

This sets her mood off.

"Arey maine kya kiya? Agar aap mere samne ayenge to kya main apko dekhun bhi na?",

asks Naina.

"You should have concentrated on your exam instead of me Naina.",

says Rajveer, politely.

"I know!",

says Naina, feeling guilty.

"Main bus itna chahta tha ke tum distract na ho.",

says Rajveer, genuinely.

"Pehle aap mujhe khud apni taraf dekhne ko majbur karte hain aur jab main dekhti hun to mujhe iss baat par danta jata hai ke main distract ho rahi hun? Kitne ajeeb hain aap.",

scolds Naina, mildly.

Rajveer laughs.

"Aisa hi hun main. Kya karogi ab?",

challenges Rajveer.

Naina blushes.

"Karna kya hai? Bhaag jati hun apse dur.",

says Naina, teasingly.

"Jao!",

says Rajveer, all calmly.

This comes as a surprise for Naina. Her heart skips a beat. How could he say that so easily?

"Jaun?",

she asks, surprised.

"Hmm... kya hua? Rag rag mein bijli daud gayi kya?",

asks Rajveer, teasingly.

Naina does feel goosebumps but more from his second line than from the first.

"Ye itna mushkil bhi nahi.",
says Naina, clearing her mind, challenging him.
"Bilkul! Chahi to kuch bhi mushkil nahi Naina.",
smiles Rajveer.

Naina goes numb. Rajveer purses his lips, holding back his amusement on finding her numb. They both stay quiet, none saying anything just hearing each other's breath.

Naina plays a song on her bluetooth device, neither wanting to end the call nor has anything particular to talk about.

Kahin to ye dil kabhi mil nahi patey,
kahin se nikal aye janmon ke natey.
Ghani thi uljhan bairi apna mann,
apna hi hoke sahey dard paraye, dard paraye.
Kahin duur jab din dhal jaye,
saanjh ki dulhan badan churaye,
chupkese aye.

The song catches Rajveer's attention. He smiles and asks,

"Tumhe purane gane pasand hain?"

"Ji, bohot! Aur apko?",

asks Naina, smiling.

"Bohot!",

mirrors Rajveer.

Naina blushes, Rajveer blushes too.

Sighing Rajveer says,

"Chaliye kuch to ek jaisa hai hum mein."

Naina's eyes twinkle in excitement, hearing that.

"What kind of music do you like?",

asks Rajveer.

"Light music. Actually aise ganey jo meaningful ho. Dil ki kuch aisi baatein jo hum shayad kabhi shabdon mein bayan nahi kar patein, jab gano mein piroye jate hain and suddenly sunn kar humein aisa mehsus hota hai jaise kahin na kahin humari situation; humari feeling ko iss gane mein utar diya gaya ho, aise gane ache lagte hain.",

smiles Naina.

Rajveer raises a brow, impressed.

"Nice thoughts and choice.",

he says.

Naina smiles hearing that.

"Apko kaise ganey pasand hain?",

asks Naina.

"Bilkul waise hi jaise tumne kahe. Par shayad main itni khoobsurati se shabdon mein bayan nahi kar pata jis tarah tumne kiya.",

smiles Rajveer.

Naina blushes.

Naina's mother knocks the door and hence skips Naina's heartbeat.

"Naina!",

she calls out after knocking.

Naina gets scares.

"Ahmm... chaliye Ma aa gayi hain, main rakhti hun.",

she says, quickly.

"To?  Kya hua, unke samne baat karo!",

states Rajveer, all serious.

This comes as a shock for Naina.

"Ma ke saamne apse baat karun?",

asks Naina, shocked.

"Haan to iss mein galat kya hai? Hum konsa koi chori kar rahe hain?",

asks Rajveer.

Naina shakes her head in negative in utter disbelief.

"Main abhi rakh rahi hun, we'll discuss this later bye.",

saying so Naina ends the call quickly.

"Arey...",

says Rajveer but hears the beep already.

Sighing, he ends the call.

4 Sirf Tum

Next day, Rajveer, standing in front of the mirror, applying the perfume, calls Naina.

"Hi!",

she greets, smiling.

Without greeting back, he straightaway asks, whilst searching for his watch,

"Bees minute!",

he says.

"Bees minute?",

asks Naina, confused.

"Hmmm... bees minute hai tumhare paas. Jaldi se taiyar ho jao.",

says Rajveer, whilst searching for his hanky in the cupboard.

"Magar jana kahan hai?",

asks Naina, confused.

"Mere kuch dost hain unse milne.",

he says shoving the hanky into his trousers' pocket.

"Apke doston se? Apke doston se main kyun milun?",

asks Naina, confused.

This makes Rajveer to halt in his process of getting ready.

"Kyunki main bol raha hun! Isn't this reason enough for you to come with me?",

asks Rajveer, knitting his brows.

Naina arches a brow in surprise and simply says,

"I don't think so."

This skips Rajveer's heartbeat. He realizes he is rushing things.

Taking a deep breath, he says very calmly,

"Mujhe nahi jana!"

This comes as a surprise for Naina.

Knitting her brows she says,

"Nahi jana, to aap mana kar dijiye na!"

Sighing, he says,

"Nahi kar sakta.",

sitting on his bed, holding the phone in between his ear and shoulder, he ties his shoe laces, whilst saying,

"She is very demanding."

"Who is very demanding?",

asks Naina, eager to know.

"Apki wo friend jiske liye apne lipstick li thi?",

she asks.

"Nahi!",

he says, plainly.

"Fir?",

asks Naina, calmly, yet eager to know who is he talking about.

"Nandini!",

he says, taking a deep breath.

"Nandini? Kon Nandini?",

asks Naina, intruiged.

"Meri batchmate thi.",

Rajveer takes a deep breath.

Naina waits for him to give more information.

"I don't know why, main usse mana nahi kar pata.",

he says, regretting the fact that he fails to decline her offer.

Naina tries to understand the situation.

"I mean she gets to persuade me somehow each time.",

he tells Naina, irritated.

"Mujhe laga tha ke apko persuade karna kisi ke liye bohot mushkil hoga. I am surprised ki koi hai aisa jiske liye ye aasan hai.",

says Naina, with a pinch of jealousy in her tone.

Holding his waist from the right side and his left hand holding the phone on his ear, Rajveer with knitted brows ponder at her words.

Naina on not getting his reply gets tensed thinking may be he is angry, and cross checks,

"Kya hua?"

Taking a deep breath, he says,

"It's only Dr. Shalini and Nandini who somehow manage to do so!"

Naina nods her head, understanding and asks,

"That means Nandini is as precious to you as Dr. Shalini is?"

"Absolutely not!",

comes his immediate reply.

Naina arches a brow and asks,

"To fir?"

Rajveer tries to think and clears out his mind. Sighing, he sits on his bed. Naina waits for him to say something, explain.

Very calmly, Rajveer says,

"You know what ek insaan kisi ki baat ya to tab manta hai jab wo usey bohot pasand karta ho. Ya tab jab usey bilkul pasand na karta ho, magar...",

he adds 'magar' quickly, before Naina could get into any conclusion.

"...uske paas koi zariya na ho usse dur rehne ka."

Naina nods her head, approving to his words.

"Zariya banana parhta hai!",

says Naina, smiling.

"Aur zariya tab khud mil jata hai when you desperately want it to happen.",

smiles Naina.

Rajveer lowers his eyes, feeling guilty.

"Now take for example exam wali baat.",

says Naina.

This alerts Rajveer, a little smile stretches on his lips.

"Aap nahi chahte the ke main apki taraf dekhun, to apne bina kuch kahe, mujh tak apki baat pohncha di.",

says Naina.

Rajveer's heart skips a beat.

"Jab aap bina verbally kahe kisi ko koi baat samjha sakte hain itni achhi tarah, to... main ye kaise maan lun ke aap bol kar kisi ko koi baat nahi samjha sakte?",

asks Naina.

"Wo 'kisi ko' nahi thi, wo 'tum' thi Naina!",

he says sternly.

This skips Naina's heartbeat she goes numb.

"You know Naina, Nandini mujhse ek saal junior thi. Wo bhi tumhari tarah khud mein rehne walon mein se hai. Kafi friends nahi the uske, just like tumhare nahi hain.",

says Rajveer, thinking about Nandini, all serious.

This comes as a surprise for Naina, she asks,

"How can you say ke mere zyada friends nahi hai? Uss din dekha to tha apne mujhe mere friends ke saath golgappa khate?"

Rajveer smiles hearing that and asks,

"Bus utne hi hai na?"

Naina lowers her eyes, hesitating, realizing that he got her right.

"Apko kaise pata laga?",

asks Naina, her voice low, her brows knitted.

Rajveer takes a deep breath and says,

"Hmm... I guess main parh leta hun insaano ko!",

smiles Rajveer.

(Rajveer-Naina slow piano tune begins)

"Main bhi!",

smiles Naina.

Rajveer smiles too, knowing it perfectly.

"So main keh raha tha ke uske bhi zyada friends nahi hain tumhari tarah. Par pata hai, jahan ek taraf uski ye baat mujhe usse dur karti hai; mujhe pasand nahi hai, wohi dusri taraf tumhari yahi baat...",

he pauses, wondering how should he put his thoughts into words!

Naina waits for him to complete, holding her breath.

"Mujhe tumse baar baar baat karne ke liye majboor karti hai!!!",

he completes, his voice seductive, possessive.

Naina blushes, lowers her eyes.

"Kyun?",

she asks, almost like a whisper, blushing.

Rajveer takes his time to reply to this,

"Kyunki main janta hun ke tumhare zyada dost isliye nahi hai kyunki tum jaise log itni aasani se milte nahi! Tumhari saadgi, tumhari soch... that's different!",

his words seem to be that of a mesmerized person.

Naina got Rajveer mesmerized!

Naina blushes and goes dumbstruck!

Sighing, Rajveer adds further,

"Aur Nandini... ke zyada dost uski attitude ki wajah se nahi hai. Her constant interest in being friends with upper class people and all!",

Rajveer shakes his head out of disgust!

"Aur tumhe pata hai...",

Rajveer continues further, getting super pissed off with each passing moment.

But Naina intervenes,

"Bus... bus... bus... sub kuch agar apne hi bata diya, to mujhe judge karne ka mauka kahan milega?",

asks Naina, smiling.

Rajveer smiles too.

"Yeah. Actually you are right. Tum khud hi mil kar decide karna ke wo tumhe kaisi lagi.",

sighs Rajveer.

Naina smiles and says,

"Yeah!"

"Ab tum please jaldi se taiyar ho jao. Main thodi der mein tumhe lene aa raha hun.",

requests Rajveer.

"Theek hai. Aap wahin aana jahan apne mujhe chora tha. Akar ek message ya call kar dena. Main ready hokar jaldi se aa jaungi.",

tells Naina.

"Ahmmm... Naina...",

calls Rajveer before she could end the call.

His sudden addressing her skips Naina's heartbeat.

"Ji?",

she asks.

"Ahmmm... wo...",

he begins to put his feelings into words, but wonders how to tell her.

"Kya hua?",

asks Naina, knitting her brows. She realizes he is in dilemma, but why - she wonders.

"Tum... I mean... please don't mind...",

he says, still not able to say it freely.

"I won't tell me!",

assures Naina seeing his nervousness.

"Can you wear something Indian?",

he asks, shutting his eyes tight.

This skips Naina's heartbeat and makes her to blush.

"I mean... I didn't mean to force you... bus...",

Rajveer starts justifying himself, feeling that he might have offended her.

"Hmm... jaise aap mujhe lipstick na khareedne ke liye bhi force nahi kar rahe the. Right?",

teases Naina and purses her lips.

"Naina please...",

requests Rajveer, not wanting her to make him feel guilty for that situation again. He already was feeling guilty.

"Main already guilty feel kr raha hun uss baat ke liye!",

admits Rajveer.

This comes as a surprise for Naina.

"Guilty? Kyun? Itni choti si baat ke liye guilty?",

she asks immediately, knitting her brows. Not liking the fact that he is feeling guilty.

"Nahi Naina uss choti si baat se tum mujhse dur bhi ja sakti thi!",

he confesses his fear.

"What? Main itni si baat ki wajah se apse dur chali jati? Are you serious?",

asks a shocked Naina!

"Naina I understand ki main thoda demanding hun... par Naina...",

Rajveer starts explaining himself.

"Stop! Stop right away!",

Naina stops him midway not able to withstand the fact that he is explaining himself to her.

"Ek baat bataiye meri kis baat se apko aisa laga ke mujhe apke kisi bhi behaviour se problem hai? Did I ask for any explanation from you?",

asks Naina, feeling a little offended.

"Bingo! Tumne explanation nahi manga. And that is what made me feel all the more guilty.",

Rajveer raises his voice out of frustration.

"What? That's what made you feel guilty?",

asks Naina, shocked.

"Matlab agar main apse larhti, argument karti apko wo baat zada sahi lagti?",

she asks, shocked still.

"Haan maybe, I mean usse main ye to samjh pata ke tum kya soch rahi ho!",

tells Rajveer, clearing her confusion.

"Mujhe laga shayad apko mera argument karna nahi pasand!",

says Naina, understanding that he is a dominating person. Did she understand him wrong?

"That's true!",

says Rajveer, frustrated as he is unable to explain himself to her.

"Then?",

asks Naina, wanting to understand him.

"As much as I don't like you to argue with me but I cannot deny the fact ke tumhare argument se hi mujhe ye pata chalega ke tum kya soch rahi ho Naina. Par tum frankly kisi baat par utna argument karne walon mein se mujhe lagti nahi.",

says Rajveer.

His words make Naina to understand that he is chaotic. And the realization instead of making Naina to feel weird about him, makes her to fall for him a little more. A smile stretches on her lips.

His words keep ringing in her ear. Gradually, the smile vanishes from her face and she turns serious and slowly, sadly, says,

"That's right. Main nahi karti argument zada."

"Naina!",

calls Rajveer, concerned.

"Kya hua?",

he asks.

"Kuch nahi. Aap pohnchiye. Main aati hun thodi der mein. Bye!",

saying so she ends the call without waiting for him to reply.

"Naina...",

calls Rajveer but in no avail.

After sometime Rajveer reaches the spot where he dropped her the last time and messages her,

*Main pohnch gaya!*

*Ok!*

Within few moments he finds her reaching him from the front. His heart skips a beat on seeing her. His eyes turn dark with possessiveness. On seeing her. In her light brown coloured suit she looks simple yet beautiful, just the way he wants her to look like. Her hair kept untied adds into her beauty. A smile comes on his face as he realizes that their taste matches.

Naina climbs into his jeep and sits next to him. Rajveer doesn't look towards her after she climbs into the jeep, not wanting to let her know that he had been staring.

Clearing his throat, looking in front, he asks,

"Chalein?"

Naina looks towards, smiles and says,

"Haan!"

On their way to meet Nandini, Naina asks,

"Ahmmm... is there any occasion ya yun hi?"

"Yun hi Naina! Nandini bohot dino se mujhse keh rahi thi milne ko. Actually tabse jabse usse pata chala ke main yahan aa raha hun.",

Rajveer fills Naina with information about Nandini a little.

Naina nods her head into affirmative, understanding.

"You know kisi unknown person ko 'na' bolna asan hota hai ya koi jisse aap utni baatein nahi karte. Par koi aisa jisse apka milna julna regular basis par hua ho, unhe mana karna thoda mushkil ho jata hai.",

says Rajveer.

"Regular basis par? Kyun? Aap log kya roz kahin ghumne jate the; ya jate hain?",

asks Naina, looking towards him, arching a brow, smiling a little.

"Nahi aisi koi baat nahi hai!",

he says, not elaborating it.

And his not elaborating it makes Naina to understand that either he didn't like her teasing him or he took it seriously.

"Mazak kar rahi thi!",

she clarifies, looking towards him, trying to read his mood.

Rajveer looks towards her for fraction of seconds and turns to look in front immediately, focusing on his driving.

"Waise apke driving speed ko dekh kar to nahi lag raha ke apko unse milne nahi jana.",

teases Naina, holding her seat so that she doesn't fall or get hurt by the constant jerks.

Rajveer takes a deep breath and says,

"I just wanna get done with this!"

"Well mujhe jab koi aisa exam dene jana ho jiski preparation achi nahi hai, I walk extra slow.",

saying so, Naina purses her lips.

Rajveer looks back towards her for fraction of seconds and then focuses back on his driving and asks,

"To kya isse tumhara darr kam ho jata hai? Ya tum escape kar pati ho exam ko?"

Naina considers his words, making a sad face, she says,

"Nahi!"

"Exactly! Aur main aisa hun ke jab main janta hun ki ek situation hai jis mein main nahi parhna chahta but there is no other way but to get through it, to main bina waqt zaya kare uss situation mein ghus jata hun! Why trailing away from it when you know you are bound to face it someday?",

asks Rajveer, all serious.

Shivers run down Naina's spine. She couldn't help but remember the circumstances of her home. The constant arguments of her parents.

"Agar kisi situation ko dekh dekh kar aap thak jao, aur deal karne ka koi rasta na nazar aye to?",

asks Naina, in a dreamy voice, remembering innumerable fights and arguments between her parents.

Rajveer realizes the change in her tone. He looks towards her, all serious.

"Kya hua Naina?",

he asks urgently.

"Hmmm...",

she says getting out of her reverie.

"Nahi... kuch nahi."

"Koi problem hai?",

asks Rajveer, concerned.

Naina looks towards him, smiling, she assures him,

"Nahi! Koi problem nahi hai."

"Koi baat ho to tum mujhe bata sakti ho!",

says Rajveer.

"Nahi... Nahi koi baat nahi hai.",

smiles Naina.

Rajveer decides to leave the topic as for now.

Rajveer's phone rings. He receives the call whilst driving,

"Haan Chaubey!"

Chaubey replies from the other side.

"Kya tumhe pata chala ke wo file kisne churayi hai?",

asks Rajveer, all serious and worried.

The word 'churaya' drags Naina's attention. The expression of his face, the way he sighs tells Naina that he has faced a failure. She gets tensed too.

"Chaubey dhundho uss file ko. Uss file mein unn tamam traitors ke naam hain jo KMA ke jail mein band hain ya band the.",

orders Captain Rajveer.

"Meri hi galti thi, mujhe shayad aur dhyan se rakhni chahiye thi wo file!",

states Rajveer, frustrated.
